Cabin 2 On the Santa Fe River
My 2nd stay at Bowman's, but first time with my 11 year old. It was amazing trip. Manatees swimming by the dock, the chickens grazing each morning, and the deer family at sunrise and sunset. I love this place even more than I did the first time I left.

Bowman's Land was incredible, the drive in the woods was amazing, it was really nice set up, upon finding our Campsite #2, was great right next the river, my kids loved finding all the bugs. The area for the tent was perfect, there was a picnic table, and firepit. We had an amazing time! Also, the kids loved the dock with the water mat. Paddleboarding down the Santa Fe was just breath taking, fish kept jumping out of the water. It was just such a great campsite experience.

This is my second time camping for 4 days at the primitive sites while recreating in the area. I've stayed at a handful of hip camp stites over the years in the area and bowman's landing is my favorite so far! Showers, bathrooms, fridge, wifi area really upgrades the camping experience. And I love being able to swim off the dock in the mornings and camping right on the river. I'll definitely be back again!

Bowmans Landing was everything and more than we expected! We stayed in cabin 7. It was a short walk to the river and it wasn't a far walk to the showers/bathroom. The grounds were family friendly and beautiful! I will definitely be back!

Bowman’s is a beautifully secluded campground on the Santa Fe River. Filled with many tall trees, a canoe/kayak launch, and fishing, several small cabins overlook the river. Only two sites available for RV’s.
Two very well maintained bathrooms with showers. Fire pits and picnic tables at each site. Bowman’s is well situated in Fort White close to at least three natural springs.
Cons include a very narrow road/bridge leading to the campground and no dump station.

Campsite 2 on the River
In the process of planning another trip to the little slice of heaven. Absolutely gorgeous spot, spent all day swimming in the river. The bathroom was clean, the hosts were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I’d check in with them when you get there- we were too excited and set up, & started swimming. They offered to drop us off at the start of the river which would’ve been very cool but it was too late in the day & we made the mistake of only booking a single night. I’d also put in Bowman’s landing into the GPS and not the listed coordinates.. that will position you across the river… Excited to come back in a few weeks!!

I will be back a thousand times. I have absolutely fallen in love with this place. I love it so much that I debated on even leaving review because I didn't want to give away the secret of how awesome this place is ☺️
I'm not sure if Nancy owns the place or not, but she's an amazing camp host. From the chicken employees, to the comfort station treats, she really has thought of everything possible to make your stay as carefree as possible. The beds were comfy, cabin was cutely decorated, there are grills and utensils to use for everyone and inside your cabin.
It was clean. The place was easy to find, and well lit. The people that were staying there were all friendly and didn't mess with you but were available for conversation if you felt so inclined.
What a complete gem. This day was exactly what we needed. Can't wait to come back.

Awesome campsite. We stayed in primitive site #1 and it was incredibly spacious. We have a 12-person tent so it is quite large and we could’ve have fit at least 2 more tents in the spot. It seemed to be slightly bigger than primitive site #2. It was very private as well. No electricity or water at the site, but the comfort station, bathrooms, and dish washing station are close by. The bathrooms were super clean and nice. The site does have a fire pit with a grill grate and a picnic table. The staff was super friendly. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas as well as at the campsite. We spent lots of time fishing. We dropped a fishing light off the dock and watched giant fish and softshell turtles swim around. We went to Troy Springs, Ichetucknee Springs, and O’Leno State Park. I HIGHLY suggest Ichetucknee springs. Beautiful water, not too expensive, and we even saw a manatee!! We spent hours hiking at O’Leno and barely even scratched the surface. We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend! Peaceful, Clean, Great location! We stayed in one of the small cabins. Joe the host was awesome and told us much about the property. Lots of friendly dogs and free roaming chickens everywhere. Free coffee and amenities were very creative. We will be back and try some tent camping

We had a wonderful stay. Everyone there was welcoming and kind. As a woman traveling with 3 kids and a dog, a kind and helpful community was great. The cabin was perfect and river was beautiful. We were happy!

We absolutely have loved our time here and will return. A peaceful area. Lovely host. Clean campground. Bathroom and shower are good. Water was easily accessible for kayak and float. Fishing was fun.

My family absolutely loved it out there, even though it rained a lot! I between the rain the kids enjoyed riding the bikes (free of charge). The kids played in the water right off the dock some and even got a little fishing in. We was abel to upgrade to a cabin after the first night and it was absolutely lovely! Slept the 4 of us comfy! The camp hosts was all so kind a patient with us and our children , I’m sure my 12 yo son talked everyone’s ears off and they was very polite to him (autism and adhd super powers). My 13 yo daughter has already been talking about wanting to come back and to be honest I’m excited to visit again!

It was awesome and the Camp hosts were great! If you are tent camping, grab primitive campsite 2 if possible, but they are both great!

Really loved this campsite! It was a wonderful and peaceful time out at the river site here and the bathhouse were wonderfully maintained and stocked as well as kept warm. There are lots of games and other amenities here as well as a long trail around the property and a wonderful dock on the river.

Great location, near a lot of paddling options. The site was secluded and clean. The campground was perfect for a little getaway and the extra little touches like the coffee station made us feel very welcomed. Everyone was very nice.

Van Life, Camper Over Cab, or tent camping would suit you beautifully at any of Bowmans Landing primitive sites. Although they have small glamping cabins as well, Sites #1 & #2 are right on the water. A little further away from the facilities, but to be up on the water like that was so peaceful! Their Comfort Station was exceptional, equipped w coffee and heated bathrooms! And everyone we talked with was SO HOSPITABLE, ensuring we had a memorable weekend stay. Joe, Jessie, and Nancy are AMAZING hosts, and we really couldn’t ask for anything more!

It was amazing! Took my family of 4 and it went so well. Primitive site 1 was our spot and it was quiet and well kept. We had our own fire pit with a grate to use.
The people on the property were so amazing and one of them stoodout. Jesse greeted us from the start and was super helpful throughout. He checked in after our 1st day as we had rain all throughout the night and brought us out more wood. The overall site itself was nice and beautiful, good place to disconnect from reality.
We will be back to go camping again when it gets a tad warmer to use the other amenities it has to offer.

Bowmans Landing was everything it said in the listing. It was a quiet and secluded stay by the river. Bathrooms were clean and everyone we came across were very pleasant. We spent 4 nights enjoying nature during Thanksgiving, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.
