There are so many amazing things to do in Central Oregon that are less an hour away including hiking, mountain biking, floating the river, and much more.

Quiet RV Parking in Midtown Bend

We have an nice flat parking spot outside our house on the street. The street is quiet, especially at night. Feel free to bring your pet, and let us know if you want any local recommendations! We are a 5-10 min drive from pretty much everything in town, could walk or ride bikes to downtown/old mill/box factory, etc.
Sometimes larger RV's can kill our breaker, its just a 110V plug. We will do our best to accommodate power and water needs, but just a heads up that the larger or older models can cut the breaker and may not be viable on our power system.

I wanted a peaceful place to call home. I found this property after a long search with a very patient and kind realtor. I fell in love with it almost immediately. The ponds bring wonderful wildlife that I enjoy watching and listening to….birds, frogs and many other animals. I wanted a property where I could have space to have horses or other farm animals if I chose to. I have not chosen to acquire them as of yet, but I like having the option. I love sharing this spot with others. The stars are incredibly brighter than most places and there is very little noise pollution as well. I call it my Little Desert Oasis. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Learn more about this land:I offer Standard RV plug in electricity and water. Sorry no toilet facilities at all. So you must have your own self-contained bathroom set up in your rig. No tent camping is it allowed. Trailers and vans with toilet are a perfect fit. It feels like country out here with horses, sheep llamas etc. small farms all around. Yet close to town, just a mile away from Highway 97 and about 3 miles away from Highway 20 near Tumalo. I think you will find the location convenient as it is only 15 minutes from the Redmond Airport, about 20 minutes to Sisters Oregon and downtown Bend is an easy 8 mile drive.There are pretty views of ponds joined by a creek and small waterfalls. The water features attract lots of wildlife! You will likely see deer, wild ducks, quail, hawks and many other types of birds. I even had a duck build a nest next to the pond last year and hatch a clutch of ducklings. There are several small Aspen trees and old junipers near the campsite next to the ponds. If the night sky and stars don’t take your breath away, the frogs will surely serenade you to sleep! There is a little view of the mountains as well. The site is centrally located for easy access to Highway 24 Highway 97. Trader Joe’s, Food 4 Less, Target, Starbucks and a outdoor shopping malls are only 5 miles away. Numerous restaurants are also only 5 miles from the home. There are more than a half a dozen breweries within 8 miles and 45 minutes to Mount Bachelor. The quaint little town of Tumalo is only 3 miles down the road. There you will find a cool taproom (The Bite) with outdoor seating, corn hole and yummy food carts. In addition, there is a great pizza joint and Tumalo Cider Bar. Tumalo State Park is less than 5 miles away. Riley Ranch Nature Preserve is also less than 5 miles away and well worth the trip!

Pitch a tent or back your trailer (Up to sixteen foot) in the middle of five acres for a minimum of 15 days without moving it once it's parked as I don't want a trail to form. Access to your own private picnic table, portable outhouse, and propane barbeque with one cook top burner (Propane included). The campsite boards a small farm with goats, sheep etc. Located in Central Oregon minutes from Tumalo State Park is the Deschutes River that runs through downtown Bend offering lazy raft or tube floating. Downtown Bend and boarding the river is an amphitheater with top name bands every few weeks. Less than ten minutes from "The Cascade Village Shopping Center" (https://www.shopcascadevillage.com)with many restaurant and shopping options to the south. Ten minutes to the north is Tumalo Town offering carts at “The Bite” (https://www.thebitetumalo.com) with tasty local beers on tap, two cider tasting rooms (Bend Cider and Tumalo Cider). There, you will find a general store offering refillable beer and cider growlers and a deli with both gas and diesel. Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. Where to go
Along the Deschutes River
One of Central Oregon's biggest draws, the Deschutes River and its tributaries, lakes, and reservoirs attract boaters and paddlers, particularly in the summer months. Private and public camping opportunities abound near the river, especially given it passes through some state parks, including The Cove Palisades State Park, LaPine State Park, and Tumalo State Park, a riverside gem with canyon trails, swimming holes, and excellent rainbow trout fishing. Unfortunately, this pristine spot is no secret—book early to secure your spot in the summer.
Ochoco National Forest
Spread out over nearly a million acres, quiet Ochoco National Forest offers a diverse mix of canyons, forest, arid high desert, and lakes. It's a great place to camp, with both dispersed campsites and campgrounds, plus plenty of cabins and private options available to book.
Willamette National Forest
Directly west of Bend, the Willamette National Forest is among the most popular spots in Oregon for hiking and camping. About a fifth of the forest is designated wilderness, accessible only on foot or by horseback, making the area particularly popular for multi-night backpacking trips.
When to go
Bend attracts lovers of the great outdoors throughout the year, with all sorts of summer fun, including rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and river rafting. Winter sports enthusiasts flock to the area in the cooler months to ski the slopes of Mt. Bachelor, the crown jewel of the Deschutes Forest. Summers are generally hot and dry, and this time of year is certainly the busiest for camping, so book ahead to sleep under the stars.
Further, in the mountains, Scout Lake features a popular campground and Sandy swimming beaches. When it comes to staying cool, it doesn't get better than the Cascade Lakes. Paddle or cruise your boat across Elk Lake, or kick back on your hammock at a seasonal waterfront campground.
