There’s a 10-acre scuba refuge within the lake, where you can plunge down 25 feet and see fish, moss, the whole underwater deal. If you aren’t into wearing flippers, how about taking the 100-mile long, winding ride on your motorcycle or bike? Or, rent a pontoon boat and sunbathe out on the calm, peaceful water! While there’s so much to see and do among these 3,000 acres of rugged and rolling Eastern Kentucky hills, you might just want to chill at one of the shady, private campsites. After a little power nap, stretch your legs on the Michael Tygart Loop Trail, which twists and turns through the forest, along creeks and past a few abandoned houses from the 1800’s.
