This is the only beachfront private property campsite on the island. Park right next to your tent. No worries about having to leave your car out of sight. This spot is behind a locked gate that you have a key for no curfew come and go as you like. Most choose not to go anywhere they like it right here. I've heard from more people that stayed elsewhere on the island and they say they wish they came here first. Oceanfront island style getaway with mango, banana and coconut trees in the yard. Hear the ocean while you fall asleep. restroom, hot shower with changing room, fresh water, 110v electricity for phone or laptop charging no plug for vans to run a/c or fridge, washing machine available for $10 per load, beachfront cabana with lounge chairs and hammock. This is a bungalow with an indoor shower and bathroom. The property is beachfront and gated. If you're looking to come to Oahu on a budget and want to skip the high price hotels, and the hustle and bustle, come here. This is a relaxed, oceanfront atmosphere that's centrally located to explore the island. There's an air mattress, a indoor private bathroom, and a kitchenette with a fridge, hot plate and small oven. The exact address will be given when you reach the road I'm on (Fort Weaver, which is 6 miles long starting at the freeway and dead ends at a park.) Call me when you first get to Fort Weaver or when you get to the park, and I will arrive within 10 minutes to open the gate for you. We do not have parking outside of the listing so this is to ensure folks aren't waiting out front.

If your renting a camper van or just have a car and need a safe place to park for the night this just might be the place for you. If you plan on renting a camper van i would suggest hawaii surf camper they have a nice selection of vans. if you rent from them ask about the beach front camp . The base price i charge is for the safe place to park on the beach where you wont have to worry about the cops knocking on your window at 1am telling you you cant park wherever you're at. If you want to add the camper package which includes private bathroom, hot shower, shampoo, soap, towels, toilet paper, 110v for charging phones, wifi, , propane for the hot shower, then you have to add that on the extra page—it's a one time fee of $25. It is a island style getaway with , mango, banana and coconut trees in the yard. Hear the ocean while you fall asleep. beach front cabana with lounge chairs , and hammock. BBQ for cooking that perfect fresh island fish. 8 man tent with 2 rooms available for rent or bring your camper/van\ car. Gated property with your host Kawika onsite for any of your needs. Ocean front,secure and well set up.

This is camping as close to the ocean as you are likely to find on Oahu. We left our van door open at night for the sea breezes. Facilities all work and arrival was well organised with good communication. Enjoyable stay close to Honolulu.

David is a fantastic host!

The host, David, was very welcoming and generous sharing mangoes and coconuts with us while showing us around. He has a flush toilet, sink with hot water, and filtered water available in the restroom. There is a fire pit, barbecue, hammock, lounge chairs, shade canopy, sink and prep area, hot shower, and more! Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!

Great spot for the beach alone. Recommend for the ease of watching the sunrise and sunsets, and to venture off during the day. Incredible garden, and decent place to sleep and have the basic amenities. Bed was comfortable, shower was warm, & nice to have a spacious studio. We stayed less than a week with a young kid. David was a great host. Our first hipcamp.

Staying at the beach!

We had a great time staying at David’s place. It’s nothing fancy, just the basics, but totally enjoyed being at a place that was clean quiet and on the beach. We literally spent every morning and evening sitting on the beach. David keeps the place neat and tidy.

So glad we stayed there - lovely spot right at the ocean with its own beach. Great set-up with picnic table, clean bathroom and toilet, cook zone and chill zone at the beach. Everything was there and David was very friendly and accommodating. He even let us use the two surfboards he has which was great fun for us. Highly recommend. The only downside was other campers coming in around midnight and being noisy, but that wasn’t David’s fault. Everything else was perfect.

We had an amazing time camping at this site. It’s located right next to the beach, so we could hear the waves at night and enjoy the sun in the morning. The area was clean, peaceful, and felt very safe. Everything was so well maintained, and the natural beauty around us made the whole experience unforgettable. We camped at several sites around the island and this one was by far the cleanest and was the only one with beach access. The host was really helpful too. It did seem spendy at first - but I would do it again knowing how clean the bathroom was and how nice it was to have the outdoor kitchen and potable water.

Must stop here ….

If you are camping this is a must stop!! As a female travelling alone , I felt completely safe here. David is a wonderful host. I have an RV site, everything you need. Electric hook up, sewer hook up if needed. Outdoor kitchen, shower and bathroom. And your own private beach with a fire pit. Truly marvellous!!! I loved this site so much I decided to keep it as my base for the rest of my trip. And on one of my days there, whilst taking a walk along the beach I came across a turtle! Just resting there on the sand. I was really chuffed. And even though I am from the UK, I actually live in Canada. I was relieved to discover that David did not apply a 25% tariff!! 😂 Thankyou David for a wonderful time and memories I’ll never forget. I intend to return ….,

Great location and host.

Perfect location if you want a spot right on the beach. Very clean and secure area with no issues. When you’re on David’s land, you feel like you own the island, but it’s also a short drive to any restaurant or convenience store., You get the best of both worlds. David was a splendid host, very helpful on arrival and we couldn’t ask for anything better.

Living’ on the beach.

My time at David’s property was nothing short of a great time. The views are spectacular. Morning ocean views with the wind on you. Sunsets and then the starry sky if there’s no clouds. The parking was easy to back into, he meets with you and shows you all you need to know. Nice place to do your dishes which was very nice. Bathroom and shower (showers tricky to get hot n cold just right lol) but I got it! Got to sit and talk with David a few times and he’s a really cool guy. Even lost to a game of horseshoe to him. (I’ll be back for revenge haha). All around great property to get some beach front vibes going. I’ll be coming back if I’m ever on the island again. Thanks again, David!

It is really all about the secure and private beach access with gated entry to a beautiful beach! It was very nice that we had a FOB key to be able to come and go. We really appreciated David accommodating our check in time so early in the day. I could see using it as a base to explore the island especially if visiting locations on the west side. We quickly discovered that the places on the Windward side and Honolulu required us to drive the H1. We didn't take into account the rush-hour traffic that is on the H1 that is comparable to other big cities in mainland USA. Doubled our travel time but if you go off-hours should be OK. David is clearly very busy with 2 jobs and appreciates campers who will follow his directions closely. His messages are very brief and to the point. When on site he is friendly and more chatty. The facilities were equal to other Hip Camp locations we stayed at, rustic but functional. This was definitely the most expensive Hip Camp spot that we stayed at in Oahu and the only one where we had to pay extra to use the toilet and shower. David's property is hands-down the best for for having private beach access where you can come and go. It is worth it just for that. But in terms of facilities and camping experience (we were in RV) other locations are similar and much less expensive, I would recommend this location to anyone who wanted access to a private beach who doesn't mind sharing it with 1 or 2 other campsites.

I stayed in David’s bungalow, and it was a great time! The cost point is very budget friendly, and for the traveler that is looking for a simple stay. David greeted us upon arrival and showed up his backyard (the beach). As others have noted, the beach is smaller, but private! The stay itself was good, “man clean,” and has majority of the amenities a couple would require. Definitely book this place if you want to be steps away from the beach to unwind after a day of activities!

My and my two friends from Australia stayed and I really liked this place, the beach has such a beautiful sunset in Dave’s backyard and Dave is so chill. You can hang out every night down at the beach and wake up for sunrise at the beach I think personally it’s a good place cause it’s away from the crowd and the tourist spots, and Dave is always there if you need and gives you a lot of clear instructions. I think people before writing negative reviews might misunderstand Dave because we all really enjoyed the stay.

Our stay at David’s place was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly informative and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a seamless experience. His property is thoughtfully equipped with a variety of amenities, including a shower, restroom, dish sink, grill, and a fire pit right on the beach—along with an array of comfortable lounge chairs perfect for soaking in the scenery. While we spent much of our time exploring the island, the moments we did have at the property were truly unforgettable. Waking up to the sound of crashing waves and swaying in the hammock as the ocean breeze rolled in was an experience beyond compare. Gaining access was effortless, as we were provided with a gate clicker upon arrival, allowing us to come and go freely. Although our schedule kept us on the move, David’s hospitality stood out—he even offered to cut down a fresh coconut for us from one of his many trees. A stay here isn’t just about the accommodations; it’s about the experience, and David ensures it’s a memorable one.

Couldn't ask for more!

We used Davids place as a base camp to travel around the Island and sightseeing. A perfect place to drive home to. Especially the private beach when winding down for the evening. Restroom and shower was clean and the RV spot was secluded enough for us. No complaints at all. David was just the type of host we were hoping for. Full of information and respectful. Thanks David
