Also known as the Hershey Homestead, our property is home to what we like to call the funny farm. We have lots of kids and all of them are involved in 4h so that means we have lots of animals. Chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, goats, sheep, pigs, beef, and horses each have a home here as well as dogs and cats. It's rarely quiet but the chorus of sounds you hear can be an interesting mix of the mating calls of the peacocks to the mooing of the cows to the howls of coyotes at night. (And maybe some of our seven kids playing outside ). As a camper on our property, you are welcome to explore the homestead at your leisure and take in the sights and smells of the farm. The site was clean and spacious, and the full hookups were well maintained and much appreciated. The views of the lake were outstanding. Spending mornings on the dock with a coffee and nights around the campfire were a favorite. There are neighboring homes visible, much like you'd find at a lake house, but the neighbors and the lake were quiet even over an August weekend. The driveway was long and deeply wooded on each side, making for a nice place to walk my dogs. The spot also made a great basecamp for Duluth, Lake Superior, and Amnicon Falls and paddling the river.

A beautiful farm property with a park like setting with flowing creek and easy access to river for shore fishing or swimming to cool off on hot days. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed seeing the beef cattle and a walk exploring the the woods, where we saw a second creek and many different species of mushrooms. We enjoyed watching the farmer baling his hay and loading it onto the Semi with the giant hook lift. The night sky's were beautiful and filled with a multitude of stars. The nights were oh so quiet as we fell asleep to the babbling creek. Jeff and Karen were most gracious hosts. They were readily available when needed and quietly inconspicuous when not needed. We camped right next to the creek in a grassy area in a tent. There was a fire pit and firewood available. My 4 year old grandson and I had a great time. He felt so free to roam and explore in complete safety. Can’t wait to visit again for an absolutely stress free break in a safe and quiet environment.

Nice, quiet smaller campground. Plenty of outdoor activities in the area plus Dan the owner has canoes to rent for a trip he will drop off and pick you up. Center building with drinks, food, pool and other games. On atv/utv trail. Animals all over the area including deer & turkey in the campground. We had a very nice, peaceful time staying there. Full hookups, good water pressure.

This is a great spot! Dan has RV spaces as well as camping. Some amenities are still in progress, but it’s going to be even better when the bathrooms and shower house are finished. But there is a very clean port-a-potty available. We were camping, so had a nice space just above the parking/RV pad. Fresh water and power was really convenient. There’s an awesome community building with covered picnic tables, beer, and ice cream. I definitely recommend Dan’s!!!

We always enjoy this space! This is our third time, and it’s a very easy set up, the scenery is wonderful, and it’s just a very relaxing spot. We will be back next year!

It was just what I needed at the time. Didn’t spend much time there, but the staff was nice. The grounds were well kept. Shady. Bathrooms were clean, hot water ✔️. Good location for travel There are permanent residence there, although they keep their space clean n tidy The rental sites are very close together is the only negative for me

We were very happy with all of the amenities that this camp site provided. The concrete pad was perfect for our 23' camper. The electrical, water, and especially the sewer hookup were great. We loved the campfire area by the lake. It had a grill for cooking and chairs provided too. The dock has a bench which was nice for enjoying the beautiful view and listening to the loons. We didn't have much luck with fishing off of the dock - it's quite weedy. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and look forward to coming back! Jenifer is a great host!!

Nice lake view and private. Very quiet and peaceful. Smaller lot than it looks like in the pictures. We have a 34' trailer and a 1 ton truck. You could not just pull up and back in. I had to run across the grass and back in towards the woods to turn around so I could back in to the pad.

We had a lovely stay at Pine Harbor. We had a nice big spot just for us and the amenities were nice and clean. The hosts and folks that stay here longer term were also super nice!
