The sun rises up behind the view and lets you see just a little further. It is nothing short of amazing. The sunrises are always different and some are the most beautiful you have ever seen. The mornings sunrise and the stars out here on a clear night are two of the best things this mountain has to offer. It will not disappoint. We can accommodate up to a 35ft RV. The best part is no long walks, you can park at the campsites and camp on flat ground. Each campsite features chairs, a bench, a swing and a camp cooktop that is fueled by your campfire. Nothing is needed to use the cook tops other than a campfire. The local area has lots to do. Several National Parks, rivers and trails. View stars as only those miles away from any light can experience. The crickets and whippoorwills will sing you to sleep. Harper's Ferry is 30 minutes way and downtown Historic Shepherdstown is just down the road. We are also close to several state parks. - What do we mean by "RUSTIC" ? The camping experience we offer is about unplugging from the modern world , getting back to basics, slowing down and re-connecting with the land. Simply put, this is CAMPING .... not glamping. (Our Cosmic Cottage is also rustic, despite the amenities that come with it). - CAMPSITES and TREEHOUSE - No electricity or wifi on the land. Campsites and TREEHOUSE are nestled in the woods. So although your vehicle will be parked within 50 ft or so from site, you cannot pull directly up to the site and get any closer because of the trees. - SHOWER and PORTA POTTY - roughly a 5 minute or less walk from sites to shower and / or porta potty. Shower hours are 8 am- to 8 pm. The shower has hot and cold running water . You can drive to the shower if you need to. - RESPONSE TIME - This is a working herb farm/ sanctuary and we so do not always have our phones on us. While an SUV or 4x4 is recommended, regular cars can access the site, and we have parking for standard vehicles. Please check with us in advance if you plan to bring an RV. Our farm is a great destination for overland camping—perfect for getting your truck a little dirty! We are cautiously dog-friendly. Our farm dogs patrol the property to protect our free-roaming animals, so visiting dogs must be well-behaved, leashed, and comfortable around other animals. If you're unsure about compatibility, please reach out for advice. Our dogs will come to your camp to "check you out". If your dog has a problem with other dogs that are new to them you must let us know so we can control our dogs. We have had people come with problem dogs and not tell us so, we are asking for a $1 extra that we now require as a pet fee. While you're here, visit our local businesses in Gassaway. At Bigfoot Braxxie's Bikes, you can rent a bike and explore the 40-mile Elk River Rail Trail. Trailhead Farm Meats & More offers our farm-raised, all-natural meats and other local products. Our farm lies nestled in between two beautiful mountains, one of them named Panther Mountain, in the Gauley River gorge. Here we raise Merino and Jacob sheep. Our farm is also home to a miniature horse and chickens. In addition to the NRG and Summersville Lake and Dam, also close by are Carnifex Ferry Battleground State Park where you can see where a crucial civil war battle took place, as well as Babcock State Park with its iconic grist mill and waterfall. We provide 7 sites on our farm for every camping style, from dry RV to tent, each with a table, fire pit and grill. All sites are spaciously separate from one another for privacy and perfect for couples who want to get away from it all, or for families or groups of friends who want to reconnect and catch up. Clean portajohns are provided as well as a common area with a dishwashing station and a "to die for" outdoor hot water shower (above-freezing temperatures permitting)!

We are less than a 1/4 mile from Maniac Mountain Haunted House, so you will hear the chainsaws, gun shots, and screams during the Sept-Nov time. We have 120 acres of wilderness you can explore. Be cautious of wildlife and look for WARNING signs. We have a private shooting range in the bottom fields of the property so you may hear gun shots April- September. The range is for our junior marksmanship program to practice for Nationals and local matches. For winter months Oct-April water supply will be limited. A propane heater can be requested as well for the the yurt.

MountainTop got its namesake over 30 years ago for the small mountain plateau that resides at the top of the property, just a short hike from the cabins and campsites. One can easily find the soothing voice of water nearby at the seasonal waterfall or alongside the flowing river. Rejuvenate with friends, families, nature lovers, and contemplatives. Mountaintop offers superb stargazing, swimming, fishing, hiking, strenuous mountain biking, camping, serenity, peace, and connective nature immersion. There are currently three sites: the MountainTop Cabin (sleeps up to 4); the Retreat Cabin (sleeps up to 4): and the Fern Grove campsite (sleeps up to 4). You can book a cabin or the campsite for your family, or the whole place for a small group by booking each site--that will ensure privacy. The two cabins have high speed internet access and the tent site can get access by walking to the Peace Pavilion. Last year we hosted wellness retreats for small groups at this little oasis tucked in the mountains of gorgeous West Virginia. We drove our rented Class C RV to Brian’s place and it was heaven! Best Hipcamp spot yet. There was an intense (and amazing) thunderstorm that night and we were concerned the ground might get soft so we drove up to the house for the rest of the night. In the morning ended up we would have been fine staying where we were. Brian was helpful on options for driving back down the mountain. This place is the best!

Pablo and Lorena were great! Very hospitable and we had a wonderful nite in their Tree of Love. Enjoyed a walk along their road and got to take a quick dip in the Cacapon. Perfect spot if you’re in the Berkeley Springs area.

Weekend Trip to Sistermoon Farm

My daughter and I stayed for a mother-daughter birthday weekend, and the campsite was perfect! It is very secluded and private and we were able to completely relax and just be in the moment. Maria left us a basketful of such thoughtful items to make the stay just that much better! We were only about 15 minutes from Harpers Ferry, so we were easily able to make a day of that and come back to relax by the fire. The second night, we had some weather come in, but the canvas tent kept the wind and rain out and we stayed perfectly nice and dry and cozy and were reading by lamplight (which was so fun)! I would absolutely visit again, and highly recommend! Thank you Maria! It was amazing!!

Pablo and Lorena were extremely accommodating during our stay at the casita of love! The tree house stay are was so charming. The beds were comfortable and the lights in the cabin created a very cozy environment. Sitting out and having dinner by the fire pit was definitely a highlight. Pablo & Lorena were very welcoming & made sure we were comfortable even offering extra blankets for a cooler night. Overall it was a great place to stay off the beaten path for our weekend trip out to Berkeley springs!

Great place. Very secluded. Bathroom was clean. No luck with fishing but not a big deal. Dogs loved being off leash. If you have a dog that loves to find cow poop be prepared. There was no cow poop at site or path to bathroom though. Didn't smell at all.

I really enjoyed staying here. The dark night sky was perfect for star gazing, the shower house was fantastic, and it was just remote enough that it was amazingly quiet. The sound of the nearby creek at night was lovely. I hope to come back again when I need another break from city life.
