We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets. Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away. Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. 3 nights at Dawleys SolDuc River Campground

Our stay here checked all the boxes. Perfect location for an Olympic rainforest adventure. Host was very responsive and accommodating. The river sites are worth the extra money, the view is awesome. Sani Can was super clean. The sites are close together so not too much privacy if it’s peak season, but we were there in December and had the place to ourselves. Would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Private Beachfront

This camp is magic land! I don't think I've ever stayed on a private beach, and on such an incredible stretch of Washington coast. It's relatively accessible, not too far from Port Angeles. And once you get through the host's house, and a few other sites, you're truly alone in the woods with the most beatiful nature around.

2 nights at Wandering Woodlands

Wandering Woodlands is a cute, cozy campground! We booked for a last minute getaway - easy to book and host was responsive to my questions. While this campground is best suited for car camping, we were able to maneuver a dually pickup with an 11 foot slide-in camper into the site. A great spot to base camp for exploration of Forks/La Push and the many beaches close by. Thoughtful touches by the host include a group bonfire/picnic area, a few games and a short trail.

We loved the twilight dome!! such a cute way to camp. We saw chickens and deer in the evening and took a walk by the cows in the morning. Camping was really quiet. We played games in the evening in the dome. This time of year is cold in pnw so bring extra layers!! The host is so sweet!! Thank you!

Great spot! We stayed at site #1 and it was lovely. Such a beautiful view. Fire pit and ample space for cooking on our camp stove. Did the beach walk the next morning and loved the flat rocks all over, great for skipping :) wish we could’ve stayed another day

The view was amazing from Site 3. The space was large and well maintained. Bathrooms was clean! The path to the beach was a nice adventure down a small hill and across the flat river rocks to a beautiful beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

Where to go

The Olympic Peninsula

From west of the Puget Sound all the way to the Pacific Ocean, the Olympic Peninsula is among the least developed expanses in the state. Its biggest draw is Olympic National Park, known for the rejuvenating Sol Duc Hot Springs, snow-clad Mount Olympus, and the old-growth groves of the Hoh Rainforest. While outdoor adventure is the area’s star attraction, the Olympic Peninsula also features a handful of cute coastal communities, including Port Angeles and Moclips.

Puget Sound

Between Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula, Puget Sound is an inlet and estuary that offers solid opportunities for urban adventure and quiet repose. The eastern part of the sound is predominantly urban and dominated by the Seattle metro area, while the communities to the west offer a slower pace of life, with farms, state parks, and wineries. Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island, and Whidbey Island are all popular weekend getaways, with easy access to nature and camping.

The San Juan Islands & Northwestern Coast

Sandwiched between the Strait of Georgia and the Strait of San Juan de Fuca off the coast of northwest Washington, the San Juan Islands are known for their coastal forest scenery and outdoor adventure. The islands attract plenty of vacationers for camping, sea kayaking, and whale-watching. If you're short on time and don't want to take a ferry, stay on the mainland at the sprawling Larrabee State Park or the more compact Birch Bay State Park.

Washington’s South Coast

The southern Washington coast is characterized by wooded state parks and compact fishing communities. Popular spots include Leadbetter Point State Park, Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, and the town of Long Beach—though for truly epic ocean views, head to Cape Disappointment State Park, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean.
