We always greet and escort you to your site, so please arrive as close to Check-In time as possible. If you will be delayed, please be courteous of our time and let us know by calling our landline: 509-775-0204. NOTE: It is 3 1/2 miles on a dirt county road to reach the Ranch; at various times of the year it is quite bumpy (and dusty)! If you have questions about the campsites please let us know. If all sites are booked, contact us anyway- we may be able to create a spot just for you! We have room to grow but are doing it slowly. Each campsite is very private, but the sounds of neighbors down in the valley below do travel during the day. This is also a working Ranch so please be aware that there are sounds associated with our activities (although far above the campsites)- the sheep, pigs, and goats get excited at feeding time; the dogs bark while doing their jobs sometimes during the night; the rooster announces the break of dawn. However, none of that detracts too much from the soothing music of the forest! ~ Take in the native flora and fauna on our self-guided "Woodland Walk". ~ The Ranch is perfect for bird watching and stargazing! ~ The Ranch borders State Land and is within 1 mile of the Colville National Forest which means endless miles of picturesque hiking and wildlife viewing! The Ferry County Rail Trail is a must-do. ~ Swimming, fishing, boating, and water skiing are only 15 minutes away at Curlew Lake State Park and the Kettle River. ~ One bundle of firewood, 15 gallons of potable water, and a compost toilet are included with your stay. BYOTP though. :) ~ Ranch-grown eggs and organic produce for your meals are seasonally available for purchase. WILDLIFE: There is a wide range of wildlife around the Ranch- snowshoe hare, grouse, turkey, bobcat, Canada lynx, coyote, cougar, wolf, and black bear. Please use common sense while camping! Always be aware of your surroundings. Keep garbage secure in a vehicle. - There are also ticks in the area!

The Bunch Barn

The homestead is situated at 3800-4000 feet in elevation in the midst of the Okanogan Highlands. The historic Bunch Barn, completed in 1928, used in the 40s for loose hay in the loft and livestock on the ground floor is a central feature of the homestead. The land was ideal for settlers of the time due to abundant spring water and fertile soils. Now a guest ranch with some cattle occasionally grazing and our herd of Icelandic horses, an ideal place to enjoy the rolling beauty of the Highlands, teeming with many varieties of birds.

Located a thousand feet above the scenic Okanogan River Valley, and nestled up against State owned land, our little seven acre hippie homestead here on the western slopes of Mt Hull is just a few hundred feet from a year around creek and has an incredible view of the river valley and the many mountain peaks of the Okanogan National Forest and the Pasayten Wilderness. We're on a bench with a couple acres of nice flat grass covered fields. Sagebrush, Ponderosa pines, and Chokecherry are prevalent plant species. Deer, coyotes, red tailed hawks and the occasional rattlesnake wander across the land now and then, and sometimes we seethe Big Horned Sheep that are a protected species here.
