The Glendale Farm

At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested uplands. The farm continues to provide food, fiber, and habitat for future generations. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust worked with Jefferson County and Jefferson LandWorks Collaborative partners to purchase the easement with state Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program Farmland Preservation grant funds, Jefferson County Conservation Futures funds, and community funds. There is additional space on site to put up tents for extra guests. - Site 2 boasts space for two tents, a picnic table, hammock, and a fire pit, so that you can unwind and relax among the trees. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will find themselves just minutes from connecting to all the Olympic Peninsula has to offer! Ideally situated between Port Angeles and Sequim you'll have easy access to city amenities, local farms, and the Olympic National Park within minutes.
