We went of for the weekend for a port gamble conference. After some research, we came across this lovely place! We absolutely looooooved the peacocks and goats! I would definitely love to visit again! The only thing I would recommend if you stay here through late fall or winter is to pack something warm to sleep in. It didn’t get a little chilly, but other than that, it was a lovely place. ♥️

Laughing Leaf Cottage was a 20/10! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and communicative in their messages but also very respectful of your personal privacy! The cottage itself was a beautifully decorated and curated space…felt very cozy and serene. The outside of the cottage was very private and though you couldn’t see the main house you could still see all the gorgeous gardens and the goats/peacocks. The outside area also had a cute and shaded picnic table along with a beautiful secluded small deck with a fire pit and chairs all overlooking the green ferns and forest. The area was quiet and peaceful and I will 100 percent be back. Had a wonderful time.

we had such a nice stay here!! beautiful quiet property, comfy cozy cottage, and the sweetest hosts. we would absolutely stay again and recommend to anyone who is looking for a lowkey way to spend a few nights away from the noise, and still be near all the fun port cities. even our dog had the best time, meeting all the animals and relaxing in the grass. very peaceful :)

Lezli has thought of everything you could possibly need or want at her amazing place. We felt so pampered and relaxed during our stay. The place is immaculate and everywhere you turn is an unexpected surprise in the special details she has thought of. The view is spectacular, beds comfortable and cozy, shower was great, everyone loved the snack bar, and the outdoor kitchen makes preparing meals easy and was so well stocked. It was hard to leave and we can’t wait to return!

This place is spectacular!! Lots of love went into this place to make it feel like home. They provide plenty of bottled water to drink and gallons of water for other needs. The sauna and taking a shower outside was our favorite. Would definitely stay here again. We did not want to leave!

Weekend Trip to The Kings Cottage-Adventure awaits!

I cannot recommend this place enough! We chose this cabin for a romantic and restorative get away, and it did not disappoint. We had three adults but the property could have easily and comfortably accommodated a family or extended family; there were so many private sleeping places. There were so many amenities and unexpected touches not in the listing, things like supplies for rock painting, adult coloring books, and a very diverse library. We were able to take advantage of the sauna, outdoor shower, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen as well as the indoor wood burning stove. Everything was SPOTLESS; huge shout out to the housekeeping service. Even the outdoor couches were clean somehow! Lezli, the host, was a radiantly warm and friendly person. You can tell she built this property from a place of deep love and care, with her own big family in mind. She was wonderful about guiding us up the logging road and showing us how everything worked. It is very remote and the drive is unpaved, but your reward is complete peace and quiet. She was always quick to respond before snd during our stay. Lezli, thank you so much for sharing your magical land with us for the weekend. We can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Frog Pond Cottage

The Frog Pond was the perfect weekend for me, my wife, and kids. It had all the space we needed and the setting was idyllic. We loved letting the boys run in the field behind the house and were serenaded to sleep by the chorus of frogs. Check out the Frog Pond! The proximity to town combined with the serenity of the location make for a wonderful spot to relax, unwind, and recharge!
