Cute little wood cabin on a large, quiet lot, with covered porch looking out towards the water near the end of Cole's Point. Gravity fed fresh water at the sink on the porch. Inside, includes couch, queen bed, twin bed, fridge with chilled water, freezer, microwave. Nicely heated in winter and stays cool in summer. Sitting in comfy camp chairs on the covered porch can be magical during a spring rain. Outhouse with nightlight and composting toilet. Firepit with kindling and firewood in winter. (Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. The property is heavily treed within the scenic neighborhood. Currently, the property is not fenced and neighbors are visible in the fashion of a regular neighborhood (cabin is not alone in the middle of the woods please note) a wood privacy fence will be added before summer, but currently the neighbor to the left is in very close proximity though the neighboring cabin is vacant during the winter.

Even though your retreat with us lets you unplug, Eatonville is close enough to conveniences and wild explorations to make your stay both comfortable and full of possibilities. The town offers charming local shops, art galleries, family‑style cafes, and a beloved cider‑house & live music venue at Mill Haus Cider Co.
For adventures, you won’t be lacking. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park spans over 700+ acres, where tram rides and free‑roam tours let you watch bison, elk, wolves, and more in natural settings. The nearby Little Mashel Falls Trail offers a moderately challenging but beautiful hike with rich forest, cascading falls, and mossy surroundings. Inside, includes couch, queen bed, twin bed, fridge with chilled water, freezer, microwave. Nicely heated in winter and stays cool in summer. Sitting in comfy camp chairs on the covered porch can be magical during a spring rain. Outhouse with nightlight and composting toilet. Firepit with kindling and firewood in winter. (Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. Weekend Trip to Alder Grove Retreat
Amazing, absolutely amazing land that we stayed on. Dawson (camp host) was excellent in communicating with us if we had any questions or concerns. We had a wonderful stay away from the world we live in today.
The cabin we stayed in was maintained very well, upkeep on the trail leading to the cabin was top notch. We began our stay in wet and cold conditions. The trail had fresh wood chips to counter the slippery conditions. The parking area was freshly laid with a bed of thick gravel, this made parking and unloading our belongings safe for us.
We recommend this stay to anyone looking for paradise in the mountains. To note, we stayed nice and warm throughout the night which was pleasant. We plan to stay many times when the weather is warmer.

Weekend Trip to Cole's Cabin on Anderson Island
We had a great stay at Cole’s Cabin. It was our first time to Anderson Island and we enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and warm and quiet. We happened to be on island the last day the store and cafe were open as the owner is retiring, so come prepared with everything you’ll need for your stay as those places are no longer an option for last minute provisions.

This cabin is peaceful. It had everything we needed for comfort. It is maintained with thoughtfulness. The cabin is clean and stocked with supplies making it easy to care for while there. The weather was very cold (26 to 38 degrees) as expected and we stayed toasty,
The roads are well maintained and the mountain spectacular.
We will come back when we can spend more time outside enjoying the grounds and exploring.
This was a fabulous place to retreat and spend time with friends.
Our dog was so happy, she is part husky and was in her element outside. She loved it. We all did.

Weekend Trip to Rainier Explorer|MRNP|Ski|Hottub
We loved staying at the Rainier Explorer cabin! Overall we found the cabin to be comfortable, warm, and have all of the amenities we could need. I would highly recommend it to a friend who wanted to visit Mt. Rainier National Park, Packwood, or go ski White Pass.
The cabin was well stocked and clean. The heater and electric fireplace kept use perfectly warm over the cold winter nights. The queen bed in the primary bedroom was really comfortable. The hot tub is just what we needed after a long day skiing.
The cabin is a 5 min drive from Packwood, WA where you can find all you need to stock up for your stay and recover after a long hike/ski.

What a perfect spot! So happy my husband and I found out about Anderson Island and this cute cabin. With the short ferry rides and quick drive to anywhere on the island, this made for a perfect weekend getaway for us and our 7 year old. The microwave went out on us when we arrived but the host was quick to resolve the issue and replaced it with a brand new one. We loved reading through the books and also the private beach access close by, was our favorite part. It’s a nice wooded walk down to an untouched beach with sea glass and whole shells from lack of foot traffic and picking. The mattresses and blankets were so soft and cozy and even with a compostable toilet outside and no running water, we never felt like we were “roughing it” too much. The locals were so friendly and seem to love living there. Talk to them and they give great stories and insight. We chatted it up with folks and were given a private tour of the farm old homestead located at the historical society and bought some shirts and treats at the gift shop. We actually ended up staying an extra night since it was so nice and didn’t bring enough food but the golf course restaurant, that is very close by was open late and fed us while we watched the Seahawks game. Since we were out of coffee, we hit up the cute diner for breakfast and coffee after we checked out of the cabin and then drove to see the abandoned sinking ferry and old gas station. Still more we want to explore so we plan on being back soon!

Group trip
Brittany's space is a sweet little haven. I have booked this spot a few times for a Winter Solstice celebration and it never disappoints. We love gathering around the big fire pit for hours, sharing in ceremony, music, and reflection, and ending the night with a cozy sleep in the cabin. I happily recommend this spot!
