Private, serene just off SR 2... 3 cabins and 2 RV's...these cabins are called Glamping cabins...that's glorified camping 🏕️ all surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and located along the north side of the Southfork Skykomish River. Most sites offer views of the river, with some looking through the trees and others enjoying wide-open vistas.
Porta potties, communal kitchen and fire pits. 🔥Dish and hand washing stations and The RV's have indoor bathrooms with running water 💦 no showers. 🚿 all cabins are BYO Bedding and they all have a queen size bed. Best for 2 people but some units have room for one or two more depending on if you bring sleeping mats. ( we can provide blow up mattress or pad and bedding/sleeping bags for extra fee)
All units are about 100 ft apart with nice privacy. The Toy Hauler is close to the Chalet Cabin... and that unit is only available if The Chalet guests want more room or the nice bathroom . 🏕️

A few guests have commented on possibly encountering a cobweb or a critter 🍁🏕️we live in nature along with these critters... yes we have squirrels we also have a cat that takes care of the the smaller critters 😅🎃

Located near a variety of outdoor activities, the property is just 1 mile from the town of Index and a 5-minute walk to the Mt. Index Sandbar Tavern 🍺, which is dog- and kid-friendly. It's also very close to the trailhead for Lake Serene and bridal Val Falls.
Hoping for a good ski season this year we are about a half hour from Stevens Pass ⛷️

Welcome to ‘Index Riverside Camp’ located just past the adorable and stunningly beautiful town of Index. We offer two sites on our 3 ½ acre waterfront property which is set right upon the Northfork of the Skykomish River.
Site 1: 'The Camper's Site'
The ‘RV/Camper Van and Tent Site’ is located to the left as you pull into the property. Park, situate and make yourselves at home near your above ground fire pit and picnic table overlooking that beautiful river. Set up your scene and enjoy.
Site 2: 'The Little Rustic Red Cabin'
The ‘Little Rustic Red Cabin’ site offers an in-ground heart shaped fire pit as well as a picnic table for outdoor dining. Inside the 358 sq ft cabin is a wood stove that heats the place up nicely. The cabin sleeps 4, offering one Queen size bed and one queen futon in the living room that faces a smart t.v. utilizing Starlink Internet. The kitchen offers all of your kitchen needs(minus running water from the faucet).
Also, in the cabin you’ll find a smart speaker to hook up to, two African djembe drums, a ukulele and an Australian didgeridoo. Let your musical side come on out!
Note:
There is no running water on site or septic system. Bring your own drinking water or filter from the river. Water is available in town as well. A porta potty is centered between the camping site and the cabin site.
Generously portioned bundles of firewood including kindling are for purchase located under the cute A-frame structure near outhouse.
Bring your food, water, camp chairs, bug spray, swimsuits, water toys and all your essentials for having a lovely camping and outdoor experience in one of the most beautiful areas of Washington State.
Enjoy the lovely walking trails on the back 3 acres of the property. Please take your trash and recycle and clean up after your doggies. Secure your food items so as to not attract wildlife or bears. Be safe in the river. Have fun!

We do not take late comers as we are a farm and are early to bed and early to rise. I'm sorry!
We are the third generation in this location and the great grandparents had the adjoining property. My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. We have a gorgeous view of Lake Chelan but can only offer dry camping at this time. Our area has a multitude of things to do!

Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, owned and operated by my grandparents in 1946 until my father took over in 1980 adding commercial Outfitting and Guide services by Sawtooth Outfitters. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we have once again opened the gates and are conducting business similar to those of the "Good Ol' Days"! With each new season brings a new opportunity and a small improvement project to continue paving the way into the future of Whistlin' Pine!
The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping.

Alta Lake is a popular tourist area only 2 miles away. 4 miles away is Lake Pateros - home to many popular species of gamefish with massive runs of salmon passing eagerly anticipated each year in summer. The number in 2024 was over 500,000. Winthrop Wa. -a small western themed town is 30 miles away and a popular tourist destination. One of the most popular activities here is simply sitting in the river. We have a stunning swimming hole that is enjoyed by young and old. there are vertical bluffs across the river that are home to 60 bird species. A paradise for birders. Close to upland gamebird hunting on state land. The site also has historical significance being a site along the first wagon road into the Methow valley built in the 1800's

Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins.
There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.

Bring your motorcycle's atvs or mountain bikes to plenty of areas to explore. Go enjoy the small, quaint town of Skykomish, check out the Whistling Post Tavern, they are known for their fried chicken and Jojos, or the Cascadia, known for the best breakfast, or the coffee shop open at 6 am. There is alot of thought put into each cabin, rv etc, we felt like we found a goldmine!! The view was beautiful, and all the lighting was perfect!! The river was a 2 minute walk. The bathrooms were so clean and accessible!!
And dont forget the Sandbar tavern!! Great beer and atmosphere! We were so excited they had cribbage boards!!!

Our first Hipcamp experience and it was amazing! My favorite things about the site was the river and easy access to it, the forest and little trails, the privacy and the location is ideal. My favorite things about the cabin was how clean and comfortable the bed was, how clean inside and no bugs, the comfy futons, the convenience of everything supplied and the wood stove. The host was responsive and nice, clearly they love their little house. We'd had a reservation at another site but they had to cancel and I'm so glad it worked out the way it did. It was rainy and cold but we were toasty and happy until the sun came back. Perfect little camping spot for the PNW!

Beautiful property, right on the river, awesome views adorable cabins each thoughtfully planed. Andrea communicates extremely well and is very friendly. We felt like guests not customers. Private beach access great spot for swimming or water activities. We saw lots of eagles and wildlife. Andrea provided so many amenities, including kayaks. Make sure to visit the sandbar tavern right across the street, so whimsical and fun! We are already planning our next trip.

Girls night out at glampNcamp was prefect! We had everything we needed for a fun camp night. The cabins and camper were perfect for us. We all had our own cozy space to crawl into bed after playing on the river, hanging out at Karaoke at the cute Sand Bar Tavern, and then bon fire. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for us. All we had to bring was bedding and food. The host Andrea is so nice, she will go above and beyond to make sure you have a perfect camp trip!

Incredible and relaxing time at Paula's relatively new hipcamp. We booked both cabins for 2 nights for our stay. The bunk cabin and A-frame look and feel brand new, with nice materials and a thoughtful layout and amenities list. Super nice kitchens with everything you'd need, including coolers. On top of that, the hot shower and clean toilet really make things feel comfortable around the campsite!
Lots of berries and foreageables around the property as well (when in season). River access with a beach area is available close to the hipcamp for picnics or water activities. We had a great time Glamping and connecting with nature and would definitely book again.
