We ask that no fireworks or firearms be brought or used onsite. Because wildfire risk is almost always a concern. the fire pit, equipped with kindling and dry tinder (plus water to dowse) may not always be permissible. Charcoal briquettes as a cooking method are prohibited due to fire danger.
We suggest campers come equipped with binoculars, mosquito repellent and this year particularly, please be tick-aware. Bear-spray may be brought along for added insurance, although we've never had to use our own.
An acceptance of risk/hold-harmless waiver of liability will be provided all campers & their guests upon booking, returned to host at time of visitation (or prior preferably). Host reserves authority to require photo I.D. if guest(s) first time campers; the information to be used for this singular exclusive purpose and destroyed/deleted.
Only registered guests are permitted onsite due to liability exposure.

Shaped by behemoth glaciers that carved out the land over 10,000 years ago, Colville National Forest is a gorgeous treasure spanning 1.1 million acres (props to President Theodore Roosevelt for saving it). The lands include a number of geographic features including the Kettle River, upper reach of the Columbia River and the Selkirk mountain range, which is considered to be at the foothills of the Rockies.
Residents (including several Native American tribes) and visitors enjoy camping, nearly 500 miles of hiking trails, mountain biking, lakes, rivers and some too legit to quit wildlife including grizzly bears, cougars, bald eagles and the last remaining herd of caribou in the US. It doesn’t get much prettier than the Idaho panhandle. Situated between Big Sky Country of Montana and the vibrant evergreen fields of Washington (which seriously look Photoshopped to the naked eye), this forest holds more than half the state’s surface waters, and wilderness vibes are guaranteed by the deer, elk, bear, caribou, and wolf populations who call this spot home. Moist maritime air comes in from the Pacific coast, and historic cabins dot the landscape. Near Spokane and the border can get busy on the weekends, but with this much acreage you can always find seclusion here. Make sure to check out at least a portion of the bikeable and walkable Hiawatha Trail—weaving 15 miles through tunnels and across high steel trestles in the Bitterroot Mountains, it’s been called one of the most scenic stretches of railroad in the country.

There was originally a camper parked here with a roof over it while the main house was built back in th 1970s. When the home was finished the camper was moved out and it was turned into the cabin. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience.

Ten miles to nearest loaf of bread. Close to logging roads. You will have aprox. one acre to yourself. Quiet and secluded. We are close by if ever there is anything you need.
Recently we were very close to the Crown Creek fire and a hotshot crew came and "prept" our property and cut down a lot of the underbrush therefore changing the landscape around the cabin so the main picture has changed to the current one.

Trumpkinland Farm is part of what used to be an old dairy owned by one of the original settlers in this area. It is set in a rolling valley, surrounded by hills, mountains, and heavy forest. It is once again a dairy, with a name hearkening to Narnia, the books by C. S. Lewis. It is also, however, now a smallish family sized farm with many other species added to the mix. I raise a rare breed of dairy cow and several breeds of fiber sheep along with

First, about my farm name: My daughter had been reading The Chronicles of Narnia when we befriended and helped an orphaned little fawn, and she immediately named it Trumpkin, after one of the characters in Narnia. This is where her Trumpkin lived and grew up, and so this became Trumpkin's land AKA Trumpkinland Farm. Over the years a number of deer have come to trust us enough to get relatively close and eat with our animals. Come camp with your tent or self contained RV in our private woods or meadows and enjoy our wild and domestic friends, too, in the beautiful, magical inland northwest!
You can have total privacy, and yet be a short walk from the main farm and a short drive to local natural attractions. There are trails to explore in almost all directions. Some camping sites can be driven to, primarily in the upper meadow, depending on your vehicle. If choosing to be deeper in the woods, tent camping will work best in most spots, with a carry it in and park either in the meadow or down by the farm proper.
If you are tent camping, don't forget a good pad under your sleeping bag! The ground is hard, uneven, and in some places rocky!
As this property is also a farm, if you run short of food supplies, or want to buy some of what is produced right here on the farm, there are many options for that! From the gardens to wild fruit foraging, farms are all about food.
Farms, camping, and the woods are also about relaxing. In this cannabis friendly state, if you choose to really RELAX, please relax respectfully.

I came up to Priest for a writing retreat and Taylor’s place was the perfect nook to tuck into with my 16’ camper and such a kind home base from which to also paddle and trail run and swim.
I stayed in the meadow with all kinds of sun for my solar setup but a beautiful shady area in the trees that have a great picnic table and chairs. It was peaceful and private and the trees and hills were so welcoming.
There is a gas station and little grocery mart just down the way which made things easy and it is a quick drive to multiple bays and running trails.
Taylor and Tim are lovely humans and I so appreciated being welcomed into their space.
I’m looking forward to returning and highly recommend. It is a special place and I felt absolutely at peace. 🩵

Our stay here was great. Was nervous when we got in about it being right on the road. Traffic was light and couldn’t really hear the cars. The site was mostly level and only needed minor adjustments to level our trailer. Close to Sullivan lake, boundary dam, Pend Orielle river, and more. The only thing is the directions/address took us past where the site actually is. Would stay again.

Level lot by the lake that was easy to park in with 24 ft trailer. Owner was nice and gave us fresh eggs. The area is quiet and it is relaxing overlooking the small lake. By late July White Mud Lake (aptly named) is not swimmable as it is mucky by the shoreline (sank into my knees) but no fault of this campsite. Nice for dog.

Perfect site. Site had a great view, we enjoyed the beautiful gazebo. Site has power water and sewer and was off of a paved road. Site only 8 minutrs from a grocery store. Joel and Mercy were great hosts we enjoyed meeting them very much.

We stayed three nights, here's our take away...
Pros: Gorgeous! So peaceful to sit next to (or in) the creek. Nice grassy area under all the sites. The sites are all choose together with good water and electric hook ups. Plenty of space to pull in and turn around. Lots of bird activity, croaking bullfrogs inn the pond. Watch your bags of chips as there are a pair of crows that will try to steal them. Quiet nights. Excellent fire ring with chairs. Lots of stars. Big lawn area for playing of you have kids. Water in the creek has a nice shallow place and would also be great for kids. Good cell service. Easy jaunt into town if you forgot something.
Cons:. Trains. No picnic tables at the sites. Skinny dipping must be allowed as there were boys underwear near the pond as well as trash and broken toys... Just generally messy. While the fire ring was nice the fireworks left in there that went off randomly were not amusing.
Summary.... We would definitely stay again but for the price I hope it's cleaned up a bit more next time.

We loved camping in Taylor’s meadow spot. She had two camping spots open, and upon arrival let us pick which one we wanted. The Meadows one worked better for our R-Pod camper. We were perfectly nestled among the trees and had quaint views of wildflowers and tall grasses. We enjoyed the stillness of early summer days and nights. It was very quiet and peaceful. We saw a few deer and turkeys. Limited WiFi was available, and Taylor was quick to respond with any information we needed. Lake access was close by, as well as a charming general store. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and hope to visit again sometime! Our two dogs loved it, too!

We loved it here. Very serene, beautiful views. We loved that it was grassy with a creek right by the camp spots. Our kids had fun fishing in the pond and seeing the horses. We liked the freshly mowed lawn and mature cottonwoods mixed with evergreens. The rv sites are out of range of the wifi and there was no place to dump sewage.
It is a very nice airbnb ranch resort. There are active trains on either side. They did not disturb us, but others may feel different.

Bug spray won't kill enough mosquitoes to keep you happy here alone. Smoke from a fire fed with leaves will be your only respite. We brought a mosquito net too (which would've worked fine if it was carried by five different people, so that it wouldn't catch on every blade of grass).
The two hosts came out to visit with us kindly. We thought they gave us ample privacy for the rest of our stay. The grove encompassing a picnic area nearby was super cute, and offered us good privacy from the neighbors across the street, too. Being the brats we are, privacy's a major concern when looking at rentals to rest at, so close to strangers.
For that "privacy" checkmark alone, we'd come back. The price of our site would come second on a list of priorities. The location (which was pretty, and pretty easy to find) would come third.
Quicker points to touch on: Firewood was already cut for us upon arrival, and stacked by a deep fire pit neatly. The porta-potty was clean enough to lick up and down. And despite our efforts to attract one, no bears came to read us goodnight.

With pets
We brought our 34’ trailer with two kids & 3 dogs. Felicia (& family) were phenomenal hosts. We would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet, unique & wonderful time. We were able to relax, the kids played with the boys, and lots of walks for the dogs. The kids even got to feed the horses treats! Thank you, to the hosts, for a perfect Memorial Day.

Amazing experience, as always. Susan & Matt are the nicest people and extraordinary hosts. I highly recommend adding on the forest therapy session with Matt, especially if you've been looking for a way to feel more connected to yourself and nature. I cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful camping site.

Great spot close to the River. Had more accomadations than you typically see on Hipcamp in a cabin. Made it an easier time to get outside for a night.

Very lovely guy. There are neighbours, but still very quiet. While near the main house, it still feels like we're on our own.
Basic amenities for "glamping" are all here, steaks and burgers with such ease that it's a mainstay. Cabin stays as warm as you need it.
10/10 would recommend, will come back.
