Weekend Trip to Sasquatch Villa

Great spot with a stunning view especially during sunset. The space was private though not completely isolated. The hosts were communicative and thoughtful by leaving us a few sweet treats and leftover propane. Overall, this spot is a great find.

Amazing view! Nice set up with chairs, propane fire pit, power for our tent AC and electric cooler, and enough room to park flat so our roof top tent was flat. The site is fairly close to the house but the owners were friendly and courteous and we felt enough privacy throughout our trip. Overall, we loved our stay and would stay again.

Our stay at site #1 (Sunset View) was amazing! The drive up was a bit rougher than we had anticipated, but very doable in our Ram Nova van. The views were amazing, the silence was wonderful, and Chris and Jen are generous, helpful, and communicative hosts. We would definitely recommend, and hope to be back soon!

This is a beautiful site, and we would come back. The location is great and it is clear a lot of attention to detail has been put into the campsite. The fire pit is big and has a nice, rotating cooking grate. The picnic table is huge and sturdy. It was a great workspace for cooking. The pit toilet is odorless- I couldn't believe it. And has a nice sensor light on the inside. Very flat and large spots for tent spots. At this time of year, the river was a bit high to access the shared beach from the trail at our site, but David offered advice about how to get to the shared beach and it was truly beautiful and a great location for my young kids to hang out. Hoping to come back sometime when it's a little hotter and swim at the beach.

The drive to the camp site #2 wasn’t bad at all. When we arrived the site was very clean, as well as the outhouse/bathroom. There’s nice paths to the river and more trails to make your way to the beach. Campsite 2 had a great lay out for two 6 person tents, as well as being further from other sites. Which to us, meant more privacy . Overall, great experience.

What a place of peaceful solitude! The view is spectacular with both sunset and sunrise, we even had a couple of deer visit our camp. And a lovely breeze throughout. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Bear Acres Park

Loved the campsite! The owner was very welcoming and the private space was great. All the amenities added more than we expected out of the trip; from running water, power, a portable bathroom to yard games, chairs and more. Enjoyed their wandering dogs and the space to enjoy camp while still having the privacy from the owner on their property. Site is close to the main road, so a bit of noise there but was nice like white noise for me. 10/10, would definitely go back. Beware of the mosquitoes though. As expected with the warmer weather.

Great little gem tucked away from the crowds. The bathroom and shower was very nice. It’s only 30 mins from Leavenworth and has plenty of gravel and mountain biking from the campsite.

Rene was a wonderful host. We enjoyed the surroundings and the wine tasting at the winery. There was water and electric hookup and a porta potty available. We definitely would come back.

This was hands down one of the best car camping spots we've ever stayed at. All the things you want in a campsite. Unique places to sit, tent spots, trails to the beautiful river, spacious sites where you can barely see your neighbors. We would come back in a heartbeat!

A friend and I took our kids tent camping and had such a lovely time. It was surprisingly quiet for Memorial Day weekend. The kids loved the pond and running around in the field across from our camp site. We missed the window for the pool and bounce house, which were open on Saturday, but we still had plenty to do. We hiked around on the trails on site for over an hour. Highlight: After hearing the frogs for two nights, our last morning we saw one to everyone's delight!

Cozy hide-a-way cabin! Snowy in the winter months, but gorgeous all year long.

Brenda was super kind and showed us around the place. It’s really pretty and well put together. The reviews about the approach seemed really dramatic when I got here. It’s no different than any small camping approach or trail you would find. Really a short walk ( 1-2mins). Composting toilet was surprisingly nice! + there’s a new platform you can camp on which was awesome! It’s a wood platform raised off the ground about a foot and fit 4 of us comfortably but I’m sure we could have fit 6.

Great little getaway. We had a good time just relaxing. Quick thing to note if you’re bringing a dog is that the neighbors had dogs in kennels within eye site of the cabin, so make sure your dogs are either well trained or leashed!

The Sasquatch Vista was phenomenal. The views were breath taking and it was wonderfully secluded yet still within 20 to 30 mins to Chelan as well as being close to the river park. Chris and Jennifer were wonderful hosts, Chris even making sure we were settled in as well as giving tips for parking in chelan and other activities in the area. Highly recomend this spot and definitely see myself returning here!

2 nights at Del Rosario Family Vineyard

Arriving at the vineyard was a little jarring because it wasn’t what I expected. But after setting up camp, and taking in the beautiful views of the peaceful valley we went up and had a little wine tasting with Renato. His personality and passion for his wine shine through the flavors and his explanations. We stayed 2 nights and that experience made the whole stay worth it. Bonus points for Douglas Creek and its waterfalls and swimming holes a few miles down the road.

Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are outhouses at each campsite. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

We have a small area, but most of it is shaded and right by the river. Learn more about this land: Come camp near the river at a fully-functional whitewater river rafting basecamp!! Our group-style camping area is ideal for small groups of people or couples. We have a total of 4 spots. Spot #1 is our largest spot, suitable for 4 or 5 two-person or three-person tents. Spot #2 is a bit smaller, ideal for up to 3 medium-sized tents. Spots 3 and 4 are suitable for two small to medium-sized tents. Camp spots are next to each other, so there's not a lot of "wild forest camping" here. We refer to it as urban camping. All spots are level and graveled. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise in the area, as we are near Highway 2. There are also picnic tables in the camping area for all campers to use as well as several hammocks.. Access to the river is very nearby. Weekend camping is limited, and you may occasionally hear the sound of a train whistle. WiFi and a fire pit are included, as well as on-site port-a-potties. Hot outdoor showers are also on-site and available to all rafters and campers. There is a large communal fire pit, but no individual campfire pits; however, the option is to bring a propane stand-alone fire pit. Fires are allowed in April, May, and June; the fire ban starts on July 1st due to wildfire concerns. No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control and monitored at all times. Our property features potable water, on-site outdoor showers, and a foot-operated hand wash station. Our camping area is somewhat small and does not have grass, but it is graveled. Please be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music at a low to medium volume. Please bring a photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form. The Little Cabin in the Woods

The property sits on a acre surrounded by undeveloped forest. Huge old century-old cedar stumps litter the surrounding woods and you'll see where loggers in the early 1900's cut into the sides to place their springboards. The trees surrounding the property today are mostly fir and alder. The 16'x20' cabin sits tucked back against the forest, looking out with territorial forest and mountain views of the Cascades. Outside you'll find a firepit with chairs and a picnic table for your enjoyment. Off to the side you'll also find our tidy and clean-smelling outhouse. Inside the cabin you'll be surprised at the roominess and open feel given the cabin's dimensions. A counter with sink hides all of your plates, utensils, pots and pans. An L-shaped dining nook seats 3 comfortably. Across the room you'll find wonderful wood-stove for those chilly nights, and a sofa to relax on. A wide ladder leads up to the sleeping loft where you'll find a double -sized (full) futon bed tucked under the window looking out toward the mountains. Given the cabin's size, it is best-suited for couples. There is a nice flat tent-site at the cabin as well. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests at the property at any time. Please note, this is an OFF-GRID cabin with NO ELECTRICITY or RUNNING WATER. You're welcome to bring a portable generator to plug into our lighting system. In the Spring/Summer we have a rain barrel that may provide limited water to the sink for washing only, NOT for drinking.
