This was the second time we stayed at The Lookout - and it was even better this time. The Spud airstream was fully loaded with everything we needed, including amazing snacks for our day hike. The dome offered amazing views of the lake and was a magical place to see the sun rise and sunset. This is our favorite place to stay when we plan to visit Rainier. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Lookout at Mayfield Lake
This was my second time camping at The Lookout and it was just as magical as the first time. Christie and Thane have really created a wonderful space that balances the outdoors and all the comforts of home. From the views to the outdoor shower, everything was great! The extra appliances in the airstream allowed for us to cook outside by the power pole and we really appreciated the 2nd fridge to keep everything cold so we didn't have to buy a ton of ice. We painted rocks as a family at the picnic table and enjoyed s'mores by the fire all while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake below. The everything down to the porta potty was so clean! And the touch of the panda drum, my entire family enjoyed playing it, it was the highlight of our trip!

Weekend Trip to The Lookout at Mayfield Lake
I absolutely adored The Lookout! Everything was so wonderfully curated and it was the perfect place to get away from the city for a weekend. I can tell Christie and Thane put in a lot of effort to make this place as cozy and welcoming as possible. The view of the lake is breathtaking! Mossyrock is a cute little town (check out Nacho’s Mexican Restaurant), and there’s lots of good spots for fishing around! I’d 100/10 stay here again.

My friends and I had the best time staying at the lookout for Memorial Day weekend. The land is gorgeous and each of the amenities are so thoughtfully decorated.
Christie and thane were great hosts and very responsive the couple times we needed something. Highly recommend this grand stay.

1 night at The Lookout at Mayfield Lake
This place is amazing! The Airstream is comfortable and cozy, with AC, cooking supplies, and everything you need for a great stay. The dome is so unique, and is an amazing place to enjoy the view! The view of the lake is incredible, and this is the perfect place to enjoy being outdoors while having comfy indoor spaces to relax in too. I definitely recommend it!

Weekend Trip to Dreamy Dosewallips Getaway
The Catalina camper was perfect for our glamping trip. The location is quiet and tucked away, which felt so private and relaxing, but was easy to find with instructions. The camper has a great outdoor space with plenty of seating and a table to eat. There is a table top grill with propane, it was nice to cook outside! The hot tub outside of the camper was the highlight of our trip. After a long day hiking and trekking the national park, head back to the camper to freshen up and take a dip in the hot tub. It was a relaxing way to end our day. Inside is so spacious! There is a bunk bed as you first walk in, a bathroom with toilet and shower, an entire dining seating area, full kitchen, and living area with a love seat couch. The electric fireplace was a cozy addition. The private master bedroom has a queen size bed with storage galore. We had everything we needed and more. It’s close to the national park and other recreational areas. I’d recommend bringing food and drinks from a grocery store and stock up the fridge (it’s just about full size!), plus there aren’t many restaurants nearby anyway. We enjoyed our stay and Emily’s communication was great, we felt comfortable and can’t wait to visit the area again.

Beautiful place to stay! The backyard is so so special and the house itself was very comfortable and cozy. The hosts were great, I had a bit of a special request and they were so kind and flexible! They left some treats for us and even grabbed a little vegan treat for me:) the outdoor tubs were absolutely incredible!! I would absolutely love to stay here again!

We had a lovely and restful time at The Lookout. Our first day was very hot, but the AC in the Airstream cooled things down quickly enough until we could be outside for the evening. And what a beautiful spot this is. We even caught a couple meteors before heading off to bed.
The closed in grassy area was great for our pup to explore, but otherwise we spent all our time at the location—next time I’m sure we’ll explore more of the surrounding area, because it’s the kind of place you can’t help revisiting.

Brad's airstream was perfect for a weekend getaway. The camper itself is really beautifully setup and the site is super private with some fern lined forest trails for exploring. If you are looking for a place to stay on Vashon, I highly recommend staying here!

We loved our time at the Octovus, great accommodations! Well stocked kitchen. Pull out bed was nice. Also a shower was available (obviously tiny but nice to have!) Easy to find and a nice neighborhood. We spent a lot of our time at Olympic NP so we didn’t have a chance to use the kayaks at the inlet they’re on!

The Lookout was a perfect place to celebrate my sister’s summer birthday + bridal shower crafting bonanza! The attention to detail show that Christie+Thane truly want this to be a beloved getaway, and it worked! We are already planning to go back! Cooking and grilling set ups were great, systems were easy to figure out and information was plentiful. Plus the hosts were super responsive to all of my questions before and during our stay. I suggest bringing a 100’ extention cord for the dome (solar wasn’t up to snuff for our needs) and definitely venture down to Ike kinswa with your kayaks and paddle boards or for a refreshing swim.. it’s barely a mile away and was great for getting away from camp during the full Sun part of the day (limited shade for a short while at lookout).

Very private spot eith no neighbors or other campsites. It is against a road but its a fairly quiet road with minimal traffic. The garden area/ contained dog area has a great view but I will note it is the only part of the property with grass the rest is gravel and rocks. Not easy on dog paws in the hot sun 😫 so we spent quite a bit of our time in the fenced grassy yard which was fine for me. It was very warm when we were there and there isn't too much shade during the day in one place we just kept moving the chairs around to find shade. As others noted you will be in gravel and going up and down little hills a majority of the time which was fine for most but its hard to walk on for seniors/disabled people and the grill and picnic table were down a hill from the trailer which made it a bit hard when doing meals for my disabled mom. Not a big deal for most but just to be aware. I will most definitely come back and would love to enjoy sleeping in the eco dome again. As for the Airstream it looked pretty nice inside and everything worked that I saw but I didnt sleep in there but my parents did and ac stayed nice and cool for them!
