The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse. The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night. We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. Check back weekly to see our progress photos! We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees). There is a fullsize high end queen memory foam bed on the upper floor. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child or 2 but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility to get up there. A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private bathroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet. There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes and glasses to enjoy a simple meal or drink. Water pressure in the kitchen and throughout is good! There is a soaking tub on the main floor near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is sure to be a favorite amongst guests. I designed a non traditional floor plan knowing that this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space. We find the layout very romantic and unlike anything else out there. There is also a large hot tub avalible for our guests near the main house. You are welcome to use this hot tub anytime if you don't mind it being by the main home. Free Wifi. No cable TV but we supply Netflix on the hi-speed guest network. Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch

Dave and Sharon’s space was so serene and lovely. We arrived late in the evening and Dave came out to greet us and show us the space and brought some firewood over for us to enjoy our dinner around the fire. We loved the gardens, abundance of trees and flowers and spent most of our time outside bird watching and playing with their dogs. It was a wonderful experience and we would stay here again. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought and effort into making the space enjoyable!

Weekend Trip to Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

Grace's property was gorgeous and Grace herself was helpful and welcoming. You can really tell how much effort and thought was put into this hip camp. The property was fully fenced, the roads and trails were easy to navigate, each cabin seemed incredibly private and professionally done. We were in cabin 3 on a cold and rainy night and appreciated the fireplace inside and the covered deck that still allowed us to eat outside and enjoy the ambience. We would definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at The Landing, and it was just as wonderful as the first time! The hosts truly go out of their way to make campers feel welcome and comfortable. They added nice outdoor chairs and a table to the yurt deck while we were there. We appreciated the comfy beds and a twin cot was already out and made up for our daughter. The area around the yurt was spacious and quiet, with tons of privacy. Our family loved going on a hike through the woods there and enjoying strolling around the grounds. We just adore this place and can't wait to go back!

Allison was an amazing host and very hospitable. The bunk in the barn was a perfect relaxing getaway and is conveniently located near downtown areas and small shops. The friendly horses and donkeys on the property made the stay extra special and brought plenty of smiles. To top it off, the fire pit was amazing—so peaceful and relaxing. I would rate this stay a 10 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique farm-style getaway. An amazing experience overall.

Weekend Trip to Marvin N’s River Mountain Oasis

We had an amazing stay at Marvin’s property and I truly cannot recommend it enough. Marvin was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming from start to finish. The property itself was absolutely beautiful and offered everything we needed and more. There was plenty of space for our group of six, our dog, and our RV, and the access to the river was fantastic. Before arriving, we misunderstood part of the listing and didn’t realize the property owner could sometimes be on-site. That was completely our mistake, not Marvin’s fault in any way. When we arrived and realized the misunderstanding, we planned to pack up and leave with no hard feelings at all. However, Marvin went far above and beyond anything we would have expected — he graciously offered to stay at his other home so we could feel completely comfortable during our stay. That level of kindness and generosity is so rare, and we were incredibly grateful. Because of his hospitality, we stayed and ended up having the most wonderful time. Marvin truly cares about his guests and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great experience. The property is peaceful, beautiful, dog-friendly, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. I would absolutely recommend this spot to any of my friends and would happily stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

This has become the go to spot for me and my family when we want to get away, relax, and enjoy a beautiful campsite in peace. Our two cats are able to safely roam around and absolutely love hunting for mice and other little critters while we’re there. Dave has always been a great host and is quick to help with anything that comes up during our stay. One of our favorite parts is walking the many hiking trails throughout the wilderness of Valhalla Tree Farm. Every time we come back, it feels like the property has grown even more, with new paths and improvements continuing to take shape. Highly recommend! We sure will be going year after year.

1 night at Simple Roots Ranch

This was our first experience with HipCamp, and I must say it will be a hard one to follow! Dave and Sharon's place was amazing. We had fun walking the gardens during the day and making s'mores on the campfire at night. They provided us with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking dinner-- and Dave even offered us some veggies from his garden for our meal. Looking forward to our next visit!

1 night at Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

I love the site , middle of the tree far enough from other campers and the service was amazing we had a cabin and a tent, already installed when we arrived, made camping so much easier, as I came alone with 4 kiddos. Teens in the tents and youngers with me in the cabin. The cover barbecue area was great, not to find everything wet in the morning. Fire pit area is cute . The site is well maintained, cabin super clean and warm thanks to a gas heater, cabin well maintained carbon monoxide detector . I ordered in advance the wood, but didn’t have enough in the morning, I texted at 8am and got wood delivered within 10min amazing! Dog could run free , kids could make noise. Definitely will come back.

Weekend Trip to Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

The camping spot is set in a picture perfect PNW forest on fully fenced private land. This is glamping at its finest with a very clean mini cabin (excellently insulated + propane heater) and outhouse. Spot came with a huge grill, propane, fire pit, and all the beauty of nature. Hostess was delightful and responsive. She let us know when other campers were arriving or leaving and if they were dog friendly since we had brought our teenage large breed up with us. Excellent communication through the app. Will recommend this place to friends and family. Very high chance we will book again. This is also a SniffSpot for those who wish to bring their pup for a morning or afternoon of fun!

Weekend Trip to The Landing At Lake Ploenta

We had such a fun one night stay at the Fern Gully Tent (small yurt) site #1. It’s rustic but set up with just the right amenities - no electricity but there is a wood stove inside, a couple battery powers hanging lights, a solar lantern outside, charcoal grill, garbage can with garbage bags already set up for you and a lighter. The firepit has a grate on top as well which could be utilized for cooking. There’s the soothing sound of a creek running which is just behind the yurts and then on the other side a beautiful pond with all kinds of wildlife. We saw a goose and duck family with babies, some pet ducks which were extremely friendly and so cute and all kinds of wild birds abound. There’s a couple of different hiking trails nearby and a trail all around the pond to the other side where you can check out their venue. We will definitely be back to this tiny slice of heaven. We also met Mimi who was very welcoming and friendly.

The property is on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood, cozy, and well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay! I loved the little patio for morning coffee, and really liked the comfy loft bed.
