Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. In season there is also fishing, snowshoeing, concerts at the blue grass festival grounds, a rodeo, and so much more.

We have Nigerian dwarf goats, apples, pears, plums, blackberries & Iris to enjoy. Wild animals abound. There are walking/biking trails right around the corner and you are 15 minutes from downtown, the ocean and enjoying sports like kayaking, swimming, whale watching, etc. Our glamping sites are completely off grid. Enjoy simplicity in comfortable luxury! We are dog friendly, and we require all guests to clean up after their dogs. There are plastic bags provided for animal waste disposal when dogs are in the backyard and on neighborhood walks. Cleaning up after pets includes excess pet hair, especially on furniture. Please use the waterproof pet blanket provided for the sofa and bed. Guests bring the animal onto the property at their own risk. The booking guest is liable for any damages that pets cause. (We will have to charge a cleaning fee if your dog leaves behind a mess or causes damage.) We find that most people are cooperative and responsible with their pets. Reg’s hundred acre wood is a charming mix of huts and outbuildings new and old. The vegetation overgrowth and misty air conceal various construction materials and antiques around the property. Dishes and coffee are available, and the BBQ worked as long as you can squeeze into the narrow place where it’s situated. The washroom is cute, the kitchen is slated for demolition, and the cabin we stayed in was warm. Reg was enthusiastic about showing us around the property, and introducing us to the sheep.

The cabin at Valhalla once again proved to be a wonderful autumn destination to relax amongst the trees, listen to the babbling stream, soak in the sun atop Look Out Rock and cook up some good food around the campfire. I can't say enough good things about this place, it is really an oasis of calm.

Our pup was a little too interested in the farm animals so we did keep her on leash, but she had a great time sniffing around on a long lead. Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

The A-Frame is spectacular. The host is kind, welcoming, accommodating, and a joy to work with. I've now visited this and the same owners' other cabin 3-4 times and will continue to! Comparing the 2 below (I love them both - just depends on what you're looking for) Similarities: --Both have: -super- fire pit areas, great views (one woods, one more open), privacy, keypad lock on door, access to trails, gas-powered indoor burner for cooking, outdoor shower with hot water (in season), ~4" foam mattresses on all beds, parking for at least 2 vehicles, picnic table, outdoor chairs and table on a deck. Differences: --The A-frame has side-by-side sleeping arrangements, wider than a king bed, so great for singles AND great for couples. The cabin has bunk beds. --The A-frame has some pots, pans, and dishes to help on a rainy day. Last I was there, the other cabin didn't have dishes/cookware. --Running sink water at each (in season), indoors at A-frame and outdoors at cabin. --The cabin has gas-powered heat and the A-frame has a wood stove. --The A-frame has a composting toilet, cabin has an outhouse. --The tables at each are different orientation - A-frame's can be folded up/down but you sit side-by-side. Cabin is 2 benches and you face each other. Seriously, though, you can't go wrong with either!

Weekend Trip to Wild Hearts on Whidbey

We enjoyed our stay at the Glasshouse! The concept is really cool and we enjoyed the large space. Rochelle was responsive and quickly was able to find someone to fix the woodstove when we were having problems. If you are not confident in starting a fire I would definitely bring a fire starter. I am confident in my fire making skills, but we were not able to get a fire going, which made for a chilly stay. It feels relevant to note that the weather forecast was incredibly rainy so while the wood was dry, the humidity definitely had an effect (nobody's fault). Luckily there is a baseboard heater in the bedroom space as well as electric blankets so we were plenty warm at night! The dishwashing/handwashing station wasn't super obvious to us, and we hope in the future there will be a sink space to do these things.

I loved staying at the bungalow! It was the perfect rainy PNW weekend. The property is beautiful and quiet, the cows and pigs were adorable! Very close to the beach and the view of the lake waa amazing. So many more amenities than I was expecting and if it was sunnier I would have taken advantage :) The bungalow was very clean and had everything I needed for the night. We had a wonderful stay at the potting shed for our 2nd anniversary! Dave and Sharon are great and hospitable hosts who have put so much love and care into their property and this cabin. We had everything we needed and more and even though it was a very rainy weekend, we still got to enjoy the trails and gardens on the property with some raincoats on!! We woke up on our last morning to some delicious muffins dropped off in the kitchen and Dave cut us some mushrooms to take home with us! The kitchen was well-stocked and with it being super chilly outside the shower and kitchen sink still got warm!! This is such a cozy and peaceful place with all of the amenities that you’d need but with an outdoorsy glamping perk! We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Guemes North Homestead

Ian is an inspiration, and staying on his property is more than just a fun adventure, it helped my family disconnect from our busy lives and reconnected with nature and each other. Although the barn is rustic and open, it still stood up to the rainy cold weather and allowed us to extend our camping season. We enjoyed the fire pit while we could, and we were happy to have the covered outdoor kitchen as well. The composting toilet was a unique experience somehow making even a bathroom trip a bit magical as it provides for privacy while also giving you a view of the beautiful forest. Seeing what he has been able to transform this space into, has already inspired us to start our own projects. Ian's passion is contagious! The kids truly enjoyed the play area with the zipline, swings and giant seesaw! We will be planning another trip here for sure and we are looking forward to checking out the other lodging options and or the camping sites. Maybe we will get lucky enough for a warm summer adventure and enjoy swimming in the pond. Ian was very welcoming and full of great info. Anyone would be lucky to get to experience some time here!

Such a beautiful cabin, we stayed there with our in laws in the fall and it was so cozy. The view is stunning and so much space for our dogs to run around and play! Loved the wood burning stove, kept the place so toasty and with the rain it was such a vibe. Would absolutely be back! The host was so kind and responsive as well- she lended us whatever we needed and helped us get the fire going in the cabin.
