Courtney’s land is a rustic, peaceful oasis conveniently located near town yet feels tucked away in the middle of nature. We had our boat hauled out at Jensens on San Juan to do some routine bottom paint and maintenance. It was wonderful to have an affordable accommodation to camp at with our pup while we were on this island. Courtney was helpful and kind allowing us to extend our stay as our job took longer than anticipated. We will definitely stay here again the next time we haul our boat out or camp on San Juan. Thank you Courtney for sharing this space with us.

It's a 5 min walk to Birch Bay state park. clean restrooms although when I checked in they did not give me the code and i was not aware a code was needed until the middle of the night. I reserved an RV site through Hipcamp that was 52$ because i need electricity for my CPAP. when I got there he put me at a tent site at the bottom of the steep hill but did not refund me the difference between the RV site and the tent site. everything shifted in the van when I went down the hill. one side of the electrical box did not work. the other side's socket was indented and difficult to insert the plug. but I was the only one down at the tent sites so it was totally private, right on the creekside with a little bridge that you can cross to walk to the beach. James was friendly and courteous.

We had a wonderful time camping on Rachel’s farm. There was plenty of space to spread out, lots of flat ground for tents, and my young child especially loved spending time with the animals. One thing to keep in mind: with animals nearby, you may hear roosters at all hours. This might not be ideal for everyone, so it’s worth noting.

Pros: The site is lovely, spacious, and well-equipped. We appreciated the fire pit, big tables, and huge trees (plenty of shade!). We enjoyed visits from the sweet resident cat and cow. The provided porta potty was clean and had plenty of TP. There's plenty of flat, shady ground for pitching tents. Rachel was very kind and quick to respond to my questions through the app! Cons: When we arrived, the trash can was overflowing and the fire pit was full of cigarette butts. There were small bits of trash scattered around the site. The hand sanitizer in the toilet ran out on the second day. We were all confused at first about where to park (but figured it out quickly). There was often someone hanging around directly adjacent to the site, which was unexpected (though they were quiet and out of the way). The rooster crowed very early in the morning—bring earplugs! All told, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the site to other large groups. :)

Our stay at Frog’s Leap Lane went above and beyond our expectations. My fiancé and I have stayed at many different hipcamps, and this was one of our favorites. It was quiet, cozy, and full of beautiful nature. We took a short walk down a trail and were amazed by all the natural growing flowers and plants. Even though it was secluded, it is only a short and extremely easy drive to all the shops in Friday Harbor, the ferry, and Roche Harbor. 10/10 would recommend staying here!!

We just spent three lovely nights at Bode Farm. The property is spacious but private and intimate, plenty of room for activities and keeping the kids busy. The fire pit is nice and big, the farm animals are nearby and some of them will mosey over occasionally. Our 28 acres are located in between maple falls and glacier, Wa, directly on Mt Baker Hwy on the way to Beautiful Mt Baker. Ben and I run a chemical free farm, on which we raise 7 and 1/2 acres of veggie and flower. 15 acres of pastureland on which we raise pasture raised chicken, as well as biannual lamb and beef. The remainder of our land is breathtaking pacific northwest forest that is boarded by the Bay to Baker trail. Our campsites range between walk in wooded sites, and car camping sites that are open field sites next to the tree line. We provide wagons in our cart corral area to make it more convenient for the very short walk in. ( no more then a 200 foot walk in) We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy for lounging and picnics. The Bay to Baker trail borders our property, so it is just steps away and includes a 45 min round walk to a quaint little waterfall (maple falls). As well as a nature loop trail. You can also walk the other direction on the trail over a boardwalk. This direction walks along the back of the farm and allows you to see the veggie fields from a distance. Yofu can continue on the bay to baker trail for a nice walk. There is a conservation area, just a quarter mile drive down the road. With access to the Nooksack river, that includes several nice swimming spots and a couple nice walking trials. Silver Lake is just 3.8 miles away. It has a great recreation area, fun for the whole family. Just a heads up , you will probably lose service on your drive up here. But you will get service back when you are here. We suggest putting the map in your phone before you leave. Google maps will take you just past the farm, and apple maps will stop you too soon. So you are looking for the large kragnes family farms sign in the driveway. pull in and follo the camping signs to the back.
