Weekend Trip to Milk A Sheep Camp at Tin Willows

We had a wonderful time staying at Terry’s farm. Getting to help herd and milk the sheep was a great experience! Our kids loved bottle feeding several lambs and I enjoyed my early morning conversation with Terry about life as a small-scale farmer. We hope to get back there soon!

Kent and Iza have a lovely spot. Quiet with a view of Mt St Helens. We enjoyed our brieft overnight stay.

We enjoyed this one rv site with its awesome views and the beautiful grape, apple and mint fields. Granted you need to appreciate agriculture!

1 night at Willow Barn Ranch

Host was helpful and let us change spots to get farther away from the pond as we have an adventurous and rambunctious 2 year old. We stayed in the back pasture and had a great time. Our kids loved watching the piggies run around. I will say that Spot #7 “Willow shade” says it’s good for an RV on Hipcamp however it seems better suited for a tent. Not a problem for us as I said the host let us park our pop ip trailer in a different area.

We loved it here. The kids enjoyed petting the horses and the baby pigs. We were beside the pond and enjoyed watching the ducks. Very friendly host and will definitely stay again when passing through the area

As stated! There is a nice soft grass patch off the road, so it is visible. I tent camped and put a tarp up for more privacy and had no issues! Rick was super nice and helpful.

1 night at Cat's Forest Retreat

Great private spot, easy to find with the directions given. Responsive hosts. The area was beautiful and great for stargazing. We camped in our car and had no issues. Picnic table was very nice to have. The area had cool red rocks everywhere that were very pretty. We went to the observatory for the night sky show and came back late with ease.

We didn’t quite know what to expect when we visited Terrys farm, but we immediately fell in love with the place and with Terry. We got to milk sheep, eat some incredible homemade ice cream, pet the cute farm dogs and sleep under the stars. This was truly a 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back with our friends!

We had a lovely time. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out and play. Lots of room for tents and adults to hang. Really appreciate this place!

Super friendly hosts, flexible and accommodating. Beautiful, peaceful land and so many sweet animals. Would stay again.

1 night at Cat's Forest Retreat

Isolated in the forest. Really interesting forest, mix of small oaks and large pines. Interesting geology with layers of river rocks and agates. Western Tanager at our campsite. Well graded unpaved road. Poetry Lane has a portapotty and picnic table, but is on a slight slant; better for tenting on the prepared pad or bring the chock blocks. Ravens Roost, up the road not 30 yards, is very flat, better for our poptop van camper; short trip to the portapotty (next time). Cat is solicitous and friendly, obviously loves the land and is happy to see you.

Very funky place. I like the showers. Quiet and peaceful. I didn't manage to find the water. I was in and out quite quickly, so it didn't matter. Walt was friendly

Paulette and her ranch are both heavenly. Her setting is bucolic and majestic and the views are stunning! She took great care of us and we will definitely go back! Highly recommend!

Cute little farm! Stayed one night. Loved all the animals. Clean bathroom was a plus! Would recommend/book again.

Great location to spend a couple nights. We stayed with our camper and they had water on site for us to fill up our tank. The area was clean and well kept. Highly recommend, would stay there again!

Loved camping at site 8! What a clean and well maintained area. The Greenhouse was such a cute structure. Host was also very responsive whenever we had a query. Our site was far from the pig sty so it smelt fresh and we were content. Would love to come again.

1 night at Ricks Exercise Farm

Lovely place! Beautiful, cozy and comfortable. Away from pigsty so no smell or anything. Bathroom was clean and flushable.

Quiet, secure, near to town, and very pleasant spot to spend the night or a few. Level gravel parking area with grass for tents and nice picnic table with garbage can and electricity and water. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains in the distance along with Vineyards everywhere. Apparently someone had once complained about the smell of cow manure but that is occasional and only one farmers are spreading it which is twice a year for one week. I smelled nothing but green grass and fresh air!

Willow Barn Ranch

This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane. The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping. Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have! We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings. Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.
