My use: In area to see and get reacquainted with old friends…. Camp spot was just what I needed, a place to sleep, I hate hotels/motels…was quiet and clean….. I set up my tent and a portable toilet/shower tent… was good for 5 days.

We loved the site we had, the rocks site. It was very private and within easy walking distance to the Yakima River. And lots of wildlife - marmots, red tailed hawk, bullfrogs. You could hear the highway in the distance so would caution visitors about that but wasn’t too bad. Bill was very helpful and accommodating. We would not recommend the pond or orchard sites if you are looking for some quiet and Privacy. They are pretty much in the middle of the property and it seemed like a lot of traffic and people around - at least on Memorial Day Weekend.

Flying Z Farm Pond Site
The space is very lived-in, with many animals around the farm. Even a freely walking goat. To some, this may be a bad thing, but my friend and I, we thought it was awesome. We chilled with that chill goat and walked around, appreciating the various things to see on the farm. There's a trail you can take to appreciate views of the river. It's not very long, but still a welcomed touch. Bugs weren't an issue and much to my surprise the farm didn't even smell of animals. Overall a fun stay.
