We loved camping at Elizabeth’s place! The views were amazing, gorgeous view of the Mt. Rainier, especially beautiful at dawn and sunset. There were also hot air balloons nearby making the experience even more fun. We loved how peaceful the campsite was. Thank you!

We had a Fantastic Time on the Shady Grove site. Barb and Terry have created a wonderful set of Camp Sites. Beautifully curated areas that are a great treat to stay at. The grounds are level and the grass and trees very well maintained. Potable water was plentiful. Barb and Terry are wonderfully kind and helpful Hosts on a superb property. Highly recommend to stay here if you are in the area. Its close-ish to Ike Kinsawa State Park (10-15min Drive). Morton, WA is 15-20 mins away as is Mossyrock, WA, if you need supplies. Access is an easy drive from I-5 on good roads. Overall one of the best HipCamps we have stayed at, thoroughly worth a visit! We will be back when we are in the area.

This was our fourth trip to The Arboretum, and this time our kids and their families joined us. We just had to share the beautiful surroundings that Terry and Barb have to offer! We stayed in the Coyote Cabin which was perfect for the teenagers to go do “their thing” 😉, and so much room for our dogs to run and play. We have all decided that next year we will return for hopefully a longer stay! Thanks Terry & Barb, you are awesome hosts!!

Weekend Trip to Marble Creek Retreat

Heidi’s property was so peaceful! The parking pad made the site nice and level, the property was very quiet, and we enjoyed a glass of wine at the table and chairs next to the site. Heidi was so kind and we were able to walk around and see the beautiful landscaping she’s done. Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing vacation at Kay’s place! When we got there she was right there to direct us to our spot where there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table. Setup was easy and we were able to put our chairs where we had a great view of Mt St Helens. It was so peaceful! There were deer in the morning and evening and a lot of birds. We 1000% enjoyed the tour of her gardens, art gallery, and bees - that is definitely a must! She is an amazing artist and her flowers are gorgeous! It was so very interesting to learn about the bees also. There were no bees in our site, you didn’t really see them if you weren’t in the gardens. There was space to walk the dogs also. Kay is an amazing host! We will definitely be back!

As always, Barb and Terry are gracious hosts. We brings our dogs here every 4th of July so they dont have to deal will all the noise. The scenery is stunning. It's quiet and peaceful and just the place to unwind. Thanks again Barb and Terry!

I’ve stayed at this hipcamp before but this time tried the Brown site. It might be my new favorite! It is very private and quiet. I like that it has a nice mix of sun (I’m running on solar) and shade (nice mature trees to sit under and enjoy a camping happy hour)! Love the well kept lawns and all the beautiful trees and flowers! Such a relaxing weekend!

What a great location up in the green forested hills between Bremerton and Poulsbo Washington. This is a very quiet ranch area (behind white picket fence) with amazing hosts. If you are touring the Pacific Northwest this is a perfect place to stop for a visit.

The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day. Covering over 124 acres MCF offers terrain from grassy fields to heavily wooded forests and an abundance of sanctuary wetlands. Being surrounded mostly by private timberlands expands the remote feeling this location has to offer. More than 3 miles of maintained trails deliver single track/ pedestrian/equine pathways to wider trails joined by a main trunk trail large enough for vehicles. Malaney Creek meanders through a cool grassy tree lined meadow where a 40 year old wooden bridge serving the main driveway can be viewed. Established in 1977 as a resident farm, MCF was once rich with an old growth ceder forest feeding a cedar mill and railroad built by early settlers of Mason County. Remnants of the old growth giants still remain.

Our guests love the near-by swimming hole, shared fire areas, fresh produce and clean outhouses. Meeting the farm animals, napping in the hammocks, mastering the rope swing and wandering the many paths are also memory-makers. Some of our "extras" -- Farm Tours, Propane Firebowls, Saunas, and more -- are available for purchase when you make your booking. Country Refuge Close to City

Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled in the back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) just on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience. We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2. OPTION 1 has you supply bedding and towels and OPTION 2 has us supply them. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. As we are a horse property, we will also require that you sign a standard release of liability waiver.

Sadly, we lost the Funk House. The Paisley Paradise yurt was severely damaged and is under repair. The Dragonfly Den remained unharmed and has been upgraded with the queen bed from the Funk House. This secluded meadow has sweeping views, including a stunning shot of Mount Rainier on clear days. Surrounded by forested land including a park preserve, the land is quiet and private. A great place to watch birds, access multiple park trails by foot, or just enjoy being outside in nature. There are old fruit trees on the land that give plentiful fruit (most years) starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Additional tent sites are tucked into the trees. Serving all is an outdoor/covered compost toilet tucked into the trees a couple minutes walk from the meadow. There is also a spigot with hose where you can rinse off gear etc. A public swimming hole on Lake Florence is a short drive way, along with beaches.
