(Please note: Although we are a permaculture farm, we are surrounded by both conventional and organic agriculture.) Close to White Pass and the Tieton, Naches and Yakima rivers. The cabin (Cathaus) is part of our local agricultural history. It was built by my grandfather to house migrant workers during apple picking season and that is how it was used until the late 1980s. It is not fancy, but it is cozy. Filled with books from local authors (Raymond Carver, Justice William O'Douglas, etc) and on local topics including tribal and labor history. Goats, alpacas, chickens on site. Free range cats. Wineries next door. Brewery closeby. Close to town but peaceful and quiet. Host is a bioregional herbalist and can offer advice for seasonal foraging options. You are likely to see us working in the shop and on the grounds. We will also do our best to give you your privacy.

Welcome to one of the most magical places in Kittitas County. Here you will be the ONLY campers on this 1 acre site! The spot has a crystal clear 80/gpm well and power for you to use. There is plenty of room for extra tents or parking. The driveway can be challenging if you are new to trailering. There is a turn around for backing up but it is not a pull though. See photos ;)
Here you will feel a world away but a 15 minute drive down the mountain and you are in downtown Cle Elum. The property is minutes away from the Yakima River, Hwy 10, I-90 and the Teanaway Forest. Fly fishing, rafting, hiking are all nearby.
When the sun goes down get your chair ready. Sunsets are breathtaking and with little light pollution, the star gazing is incredible.
This original 24 acre parcel and surrounding area was destroyed by the Taylor Bridge fire in August of 2012. The fire destroyed 61 homes and 36 square miles. Currently, NO FIRES of any kind, as there is a county wide burn ban in place.
Well socialized dogs are ALWAYS welcome. The owner has a very friendly Aussie who will most likely manage to open a door and “sneak out” to say hello….
Note, the whole Kittitas Valley can be windy so come prepared just in case. If you have ANY questions, need anything or would like suggestions during your stay just ask me, I am happy to help.

First and foremost this land is gorgeous. There was a wonderful view and the area was very well cared for. The directions were very easy to follow and took me straight to the site (Apple Maps). I had a bit of hiccup with a flat tire and Jackie could not have been more helpful. She assisted me in this issue and that was the biggest act of kindness. I would’ve had to pay a lot for a tow and this was avoided by her help! It is nice to know that you’re booking with someone who genuinely cares for their property and for the people camping. Thank you again Jackie for your kindness, sharing your property and just being overall amazing. I cannot recommend this site enough!! :)

What a relaxing time at the treehouse! The bathroom view was a highlight. The house was well stocked including steak seasoning which we forgot. Directions were clear and it was easy to find. We would love to come back.

I really enjoyed the space. This was a halfway point to get to Great Prosser Balloon Festival by 6a Saturday morning. I picked up a Walmart order then straight to the Cathaus. (We didn’t see the cat). I pulled together a little dinner. Maria had some dishes and utensils but I’d brought my own. I went and sat on the covered area overlooking the apple orchard with my dog. The local winery next door had an evening concert going, so even had a little entertainment. The workers cabin was cute. Nothing too fancy or too shabby. The full size bed was cozy. I’m not a huge fan of foam form pillows but at 4a I discovered one of the bunk beds had a fluffy pillow. Too bad I didn’t check around 9p when I turned in. 🙂 My border collie did well. There was ample lighting once dark to see the path to the outhouse. Plenty of books to browse or read if any guest wants to fill downtime. I enjoyed the location and the basket of homemade goodies to purchase. I guess if I had to provide any feedback, it might be to add some fairy lights maybe around the “kitchen” area. Everyone’s opinion will be different. I tend to like just a little light at night, typically in another room. The cabin was pitch dark when lights were out. I had brought some usb fairy lights with me and honestly I should have left them behind as a gift. Maybe I’ll throw my extra string in the mail to Maria. Thanks for the hospitality! Hope I have the opportunity to visit again.

We spent two nights in the treehouse. The view was awesome! It was quiet, secluded and relaxing. The outside shower was super fun to use and inside the treehouse had everything you would need. Weather was perfect and we enjoyed the town of Goldendale.

Wow. Just wow. This treehouse exceeded all our expectations! What a wonderful night we had celebrating my husband’s birthday. We BBQ’d on the deck, explored the grounds with our golden retriever and slept in the trees and under the stars. The outdoor shower was wonderful and the outdoor toilet was 100/10! We even had a resident tree frog visit the deck as well. We will definitely be back!

Staying in the tiny home was such a wonderful experience! The space is super cute, and the bathtub was a charming little touch. We loved waking up to the beautiful view in the morning—it was the perfect spot to sip tea and take it all in.
On top of that, Mary Jo went above and beyond. My friend and I accidentally left our coats behind, and she kindly reached out to let us know before we even realized. She even offered to mail them back so we didn’t have to make the long drive. That thoughtfulness and kindness made our stay feel even more special.

5 nights at B&B Treehouse Ranch
Three of us (Grandmother, mom, grandson) enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay at Scott's Private Treehouse With Amazing View. The beds were very comfortable, the tiny kitchen area had just what we needed to make our own modest meals, and the convenience of a plumbed toilet and shower was awesome! This was luxurious compared to the tent camping we usually do.
We were there in August and lucked out on comfortable weather in the mid-70s with night-time breezes wafting through the cabin at night. AC was available if needed, though. I haven't slept so well in years!
The sunset view of Mt. Hood was lovely, and the stars at night inspiring.
A great base of operations for Columbia River explorations.

We absolutely loved our stay in this adorable, well-appointed treehouse. Temps were around 100 degrees at check in time so we killed a few hours in Goldendale to enjoy some air conditioning. We were delighted to find that the cute treehouse had a window air conditioner! In addition to being cute and cozy, the treehouse has the best toilet ever, lol. (We couldn’t figure out how to get hot water for the shower, but we like the idea of an outdoor shower and really want to return!) Thanks for sharing this gem of a treehouse. 10/10!

Weekend Trip to Yakima Beach
Day trip down the Yakima river was planned, and we needed lodging for Friday night. Most hotels in Yakima are kind of sketchy, and campgrounds were full. We stumbled on this one through HipCamp.
Be prepared for a rustic outhouse experience for toilet needs, and running water has three steps for accessing the faucet. (It works but isn't easy.)
The cabin is an old pickers shed, and the hosts have made it very comfortable for people needing short term lodging. One double bed, and two bunk beds could sleep 4. Room had a working air conditioner and a microwave, and I believe that a refrigerator outside of the cabin could be used for food storage. (We had our food in an ice chest.)
There is a little sitting area that looks out over an orchard, and we enjoyed our evening watching sunset over the orchard. It was quiet and pleasant, but be prepared to get a little dusty sitting out there. Completely worth it.
A little tricky to find, but screenshot the directions when Maria sends the message to you. Internet is hard to access from the road, so make sure that your directions are available offline.

cozy and quirky spot! charming little rustic farm cabin. not for those looking for an ultra modern space, but for the romantics like me who love the little thoughtful touches - homemade jams and herbal things for sale, farm cats, a composting toilet, magnet poetry on the outside of the cabin. the air conditioner was effective and basic needs were met in simple ways. would stay again.
