Six miles west there is more reliable cell phone access. Future plans include reliable internet access. We strongly recommend you download a map of Vermont prior to your stay to ensure that you are able to find your way. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like additional information, recommendations, directions, etc. If you plan to use the fire pit during your stay, make sure to pick up some firewood when you stop for groceries at one of the area markets. We provide one bundle per reservation. Other things to note: Our property is SMOKE FREE - no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. This includes Marijuana, vaping and edibles. Disc golf & camping Learn more about this land: Camp under the stars in a tipi, located on an 18 hole disc golf course. The tipi comfortably sleeps four. There’s plenty of space for tents, extra cost is $10 per person. Fire pit, charcoal grill and a picnic table will be provided. We’ll have firewood available for $5 a bundle. Located in Vermont’ Green Mountains, we are right next to some great hiking, climbing, biking and boating. Challenging mountain bike trails are literally next door to both of these sites. We are also almost within walking distance of Camel’s Hump State Park and the Long Trail. Our road along the Winooski River is close to I-89 and a 15 minute drive to Burlington or Lake Champlain. In the other direction, we are a 15 minute drive to Bolton Valley ski area or a 40 minute drive to Sugarbush/Mad River Glen or to Stowe. Some of the best rock climbing in the east is also right next door. In the summer Richmond has some awesome swimming holes. Our primitive high meadow tent spots at the top of our ridge offer you the feeling of being in the wilderness while still having close proximity to all of the other things Vermont has to offer.

We stayed at the Maple Rock Hallow Cabin during fall leaf foliage. The host Kathy was great! The cabin was easy to find, cozy and had all of the amenities we were looking for. The cabin is about 45 minutes to Stowe, which is where we wanted to explore. We did not have great cell service in the area, but we expected that. The cabin had streaming services on the TV. It was a perfect stay and we 100% recommend!

5 stars from a cousin duo & their dogs visiting from Saratoga NY! My cousin isn’t much of a camper so we met in the middle with this glamping tent not too far from civilization. She remarked she specifically liked that there were people living close by (but not too close) and the composting outhouse. Also, if you’re reading this and wondering whether you should pay to have firewood already at the site, definitely do it! Owners supply you with much more firewood than you can buy on the side of the road. Such a lovely weekend all around. Thank you!

This is an incredible site! Having access to the lake is incredible and the views all around this area are awesome. Sites were well equipped with fire pits and tables, and the outhouse was clean and comfortable. Elisa’s directions were very accurate and easy to follow. She was very responsive and more than accommodating. Zero complaints, we had a great stay.
