Arbuckle Acres has been in the Arbuckle Family since the 1950s. There are 125 acres on Braintree Hill Road with absolutely stunning views of the Green Mountains. It's a family farm with goats, chickens. cows and honey bees. The farmstand will include vegetables, maple syrup and honey when available.
Bent Hill Brewery, hiking, biking, swimming holes are all within minutes. The local park has a swimming hole, disc golf, and musical instruments.

Four Springs Farm is a working organic farm on a beautiful west-facing hillside in central Vermont. Walk-in tent camping sites are tucked away in private corners of the farm a reasonable distance from the parking areas. The centrally located Wash Houses have toilets and hot showers. A picnic pavilion, which has a spectacular view of the valley and the hills of the Green Mtns, is available for group gatherings and celebrations and has a sink area for guests to use.
Visitors are invited to tag-along-on-chores and meet the poultry sharing the farm with all of us and explore the seventy acres of paths, fields, streams, and woods. Guests will be dazzled by star-studded skies, treated to spectacular sunsets, and entertained by the farm cat Luna. The farm is mosquito free but inhabited by millions of fireflies. Wildflower Tent Site
is a mowed area in one corner of a hillside field. Hammock campers would have a woods location for their use. It is located near the Wash Houses with it's own back door path, Watercress Crossing, over a small stream. There are no lights on the farm and this open spot is perfect for star gazing. There is a 10 x 12 foot tent platform, picnic table and fire pit.
Morning Sunrise
is the largest site and can hold ten tents easily on a relatively level grass area. It is protected from the heat of a late summer day and open to accept the first sunshine hitting the farm in the morning. Groups of multiple families, friends celebrating a special occasion, cycling groups and scouting organizations as well as individuals use this site to be slightly set apart from the heart of the farm activities. There is a picnic table and a firepit with space around it for a gang.
Hidden Meadow
is the most isolated and smallest tent site accessed by it's own bridge and unseen from most of the farm. Though not in the woods it feels tucked away
and is ideal for couples or singles as it has room for only one tent ( on a 10 x 12 foot platform) and has a picnic table and fire pit. Maximum guests- three.
Plum Corner
as indicated by it's name is accessed along a path through the plum orchard. It is tucked up next to an old barn site with a stately old yellow birch defining the corner. It is ideal for families because of it's spaciousness and multiple tent options. There is one tent platform - 10 x 12 feet, a picnic table and fire pit.

Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. Our property, Windswept Acres, has been a favorite destination for literally generations of visitors, whether staying in a room in the farmhouse, a bunk in the barn, or "glamping" in our Sugar House.
One of those decades-long regulars asked several years ago whether they could locate their RV next to the road on a knoll overlooking our upper pond, and we told them "sure". They own a building company, and were good enough to bring a crew up to prepare the site. They laid pipes to one of our spring-fed wells for water, conduit for both electricity and phone, dug a dry well for grey-water, and moved onto the site for several years.
After then they chose to move to a traditional structure further up the hill, and left behind a fully-equipped spot perfect for campers and RVs that we have offered to visiting family and guests!
Easily accessible from a dirt road, your shaded site overlooks an acre pond. You are surrounded by lawns, open fields and hills with a small barn across the road from you. The pastures support horses, cattle, sheep and chickens
in your neighborhood. The ponds are both great for fishing, and the large one for swimming and canoeing as well. There are trails through the woods and logging roads to be explored on foot or bike. A walk up to the top of the hill affords near-360-degree views.
[Note for RV/trailer users: We are at the top of a 1.7 mile hill, of which more than a mile is dirt and the last half die or so is steep. We do NOT recommend pulling anything up this hill
with front wheel drive vehicles, especially in wet conditions. If there is any question, be sure to message us for more info.]
[Note for GPS-reliers: some GPS devices try to send people up the back side of the hill, which is not an adequate road for any RV or even some cars. Your route should take you to Beacon Hill Road via VT route 110. it should NOT take you to Beacon Hill Road via Brook Road!]

Silver Lake State Park is approximately 10 mins away for fantastic swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Get yourself a maple cremee at a local farmstand, pop into Kiss the Cow and visit the Barnard General Store. We are 20 minutes to Woodstock and all of it's shops and restaurants. 10 mins to South Royalton where you'll find delicious coffee, tacos, an awesome co-op, the original Worthy Burger and more.

CAMPSITE DETAILS: We currently have 2 campsites open. They are located in meadows with beautiful views of the First Branch Valley and Chelsea village. 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not necessary, and you are always welcome to hike up to your site. The site is spacious and private.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: We also run Free Verse Farm Shop (OPEN: Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm), a local grocery, café, and apothecary to serve our community and visitors to the area, while supporting local farms and artisans. You can also pre-order online (shop.freeversefarm.com) to pick up in store or ship your order around the USA.
The village of Chelsea hosts a weekly summer farmers market May-September on Fridays from 3-6pm (mid-May through September). In downtown Chelsea there is gas station (110 Quickstop), two town commons, a small library, and a general store (Will's Store), and a farm stand (Chicken Wiggle Farm).
Within 20-45 minutes of our farm you can reach the larger towns of Montpelier (state capital), South Royalton, Randolph, Woodstock, White River Junction, and the Upper Valley Region (Dartmouth College), all of which offer a wide variety of attractions and services. Upon your arrival, you will be given a welcome packet with more detailed information about our area, and we'll be happy to provide you with any other tips you're looking for.

There is fire place outside for roasting marshmallows with firewood provided. Or to simply just sit back and enjoy, but feel free to cook your dinner on as well! There is a Full size bed and also two twin beds provided. Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A newer, larger tent has been set up for 2025 .
Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes.

Our property, Windswept Acres, has been a favorite destination for literally generations of visitors, whether staying in a room in the farmhouse, a bunk in the barn, or "glamping" in our Sugar House.
One of those decades-long regulars asked several years ago whether they could locate their RV next to the road on a knoll overlooking our upper pond, and we told them "sure". They own a building company, and were good enough to bring a crew up to prepare the site. They laid pipes to one of our spring-fed wells for water, conduit for both electricity and phone, dug a dry well for grey-water, and moved onto the site for several years.
After then they chose to move to a traditional structure further up the hill, and left behind a fully-equipped spot perfect for campers and RVs that we have offered to visiting family and guests!
Easily accessible from a dirt road, your shaded site overlooks an acre pond. You are surrounded by lawns, open fields and hills with a small barn across the road from you. The pastures support horses, cattle, sheep and chickens
in your neighborhood. The ponds are both great for fishing, and the large one for swimming and canoeing as well. There are trails through the woods and logging roads to be explored on foot or bike. A walk up to the top of the hill affords near-360-degree views.
[Note for RV/trailer users: We are at the top of a 1.7 mile hill, of which more than a mile is dirt and the last half die or so is steep. We do NOT recommend pulling anything up this hill
with front wheel drive vehicles, especially in wet conditions. If there is any question, be sure to message us for more info.]
[Note for GPS-reliers: some GPS devices try to send people up the back side of the hill, which is not an adequate road for any RV or even some cars. Your route should take you to Beacon Hill Road via VT route 110. it should NOT take you to Beacon Hill Road via Brook Road!]

Beautiful, private camp site on Broadbrook Mtn. This camp site is the only one on the farm and you have the entire property to yourself. The the camp site is located up 1/16 mile dirt driveway with closest neighbors 1/2 mile away. The site is adjacent to a ravine with a babbling brook, perfect for a cold plunge, foot soak or forest bathing (see photos). The site is surrounded by apple orchards and beautiful woods including an old woods road perfect for forest strolling.
Broadbrook Mountain Farm is located at the top of the mountain, with beautiful mountain vistas, scenic hayfields and pastures. We are situated within many miles of dirt roads, perfect for gravel riding and long walks.
We provide a fire pit, composting toilet, picnic table and adirondack chairs.

Silver Lake State Park is approximately 10 mins away for fantastic swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Get yourself a maple cremee at a local farmstand, pop into Kiss the Cow and visit the Barnard General Store. We are 20 minutes to Woodstock and all of it's shops and restaurants. 10 mins to South Royalton where you'll find delicious coffee, tacos, an awesome co-op, the original Worthy Burger and more.

Mountain home tent sites sits on a nearly 200 acre historic hill farm in Tunbridge, VT. If you are looking for a quiet, private, and breath taking space to camp, look no further!
Over the years the farm has undergone many changes, but dairy farming has been a consistent activity. Still actively farmed as Fledgling Farmstead, our farm is home to cows, sheep, chickens, goats, fruit trees, and a veggie and herb CSA and farm store. The forest is actively managed for firewood and saw logs. The land is incredibly diverse from a high exposed hill top to a deep a forested mountain brook and everything in between.
Come pitch your tent on a remote hill top surrounded by amazing views and nearly two hundred acres of diverse forests and pasture lands. The camp sites are private from each other with a large common area at the top of the hill with a fire pit, lean-to shelter, outhouse complex with water for hand washing (seasonally available) and sweeping views of the Green Mountains.
There are trails for hiking and mountain biking (no dirt bikes or ATV's) all over the farm and a beautiful brook in a sheltered mountain valley. Just a 5 minute drive to the bottom of the hill is the first branch of White River; a beautiful clean river for swimming and fishing crossed by multiple covered bridges that lead to the farm.

CAMPSITE DETAILS: We currently have 2 campsites open. They are located in meadows with beautiful views of the First Branch Valley and Chelsea village. 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not necessary, and you are always welcome to hike up to your site. The site is spacious and private.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: We also run Free Verse Farm Shop (OPEN: Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm), a local grocery, café, and apothecary to serve our community and visitors to the area, while supporting local farms and artisans. You can also pre-order online (shop.freeversefarm.com) to pick up in store or ship your order around the USA.
The village of Chelsea hosts a weekly summer farmers market May-September on Fridays from 3-6pm (mid-May through September). In downtown Chelsea there is gas station (110 Quickstop), two town commons, a small library, and a general store (Will's Store), and a farm stand (Chicken Wiggle Farm).
Within 20-45 minutes of our farm you can reach the larger towns of Montpelier (state capital), South Royalton, Randolph, Woodstock, White River Junction, and the Upper Valley Region (Dartmouth College), all of which offer a wide variety of attractions and services. Upon your arrival, you will be given a welcome packet with more detailed information about our area, and we'll be happy to provide you with any other tips you're looking for.

Bingham Road is a deadend dirt road with friendly neighbors and lots of dogs and wildlife to enjoy. Bow and Laurie were welcoming. The dome was amazing with everything you need to be comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed the stay here. There is a small stream flowing by. We visited right after a snow fall. The place looked magical both during day and night. I would also recommend this place for anyone who loves stargazing.

We loved this A frame site. It was private and quiet and the forest views/access can’t be beat. The A frame allowed us to stay totally dry during some rain without having to be inside a tent. The toilet was the nicest one we’ve seen too. We watched snow come down from the comfort of the A frame and walking in the woods after was really magical. We are grateful for getting to stay here and would love to come back.

Staying at the Dome in Know Town is truly one for the bucket list!
The hosts are welcoming and so helpful. We stayed for three nights and even in the chillier weather on late October nights, the easy set up made everything a real breeze. The out house is extremely well kept up with and the land around the Dome gives so much to do and explore. If you’re thinking about it, BOOK IT! You won’t regret it 🙂

Weekend Trip to La Lu Farm camp site
La Lu Farm is a beautiful property! The Goat Yurt is comfortable and the wood-burning stove makes it very cozy. The yurt is a good base camp for exploring the cute nearby towns and hiking in the Green Mountains. On a cold night, be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag and extra firewood (also, bring toilet paper for the outhouse). My spouse and I had lovely stay and would recommend!

We stayed here while mountain biking the Heart of the Greens loop on the Velomont trail. It was the perfect spot. The stars were amazing, sunrise was fantastic and the descent in the morning was great. Matt was responsive and recommended some great trails. I want to back already.

We (2 adults, 2kids, 2dogs) had a wonderful time! It was chilly (down to 30 degrees!), but we were prepared. We mostly were traveling around during the day and at the site at night. My kids (11 and 13) are used to roughing it while camping and the cozy a frame and adorable outhouse made our stay feel glamorous! Very well maintained and accessible and totally beautiful. My partner’s family lives close by and we will definitely be back again! We’d love more time to explore the trails and enjoy the site. Thank you so much!

Absolutely beautiful raw nature! The steep walk up is well worth it! Tent is spacious and comfortable. Take the trip to the hollow, not an easy hike but the reward is amazing! The zip line was so much fun, we now need one at home lol. We even enjoyed the occasional sound of the trains going by below. Can't wait to return in the spring!!
