Site 4 - Arbuckle Acres Family Farm

The site is not what I thought based on other reviews. You can NOT go in the driveway listed on the ad. We suffered extensive damage due to a blind drop in the road. The host was not there to greet us. We lost a lot of time confused and upset over the damage. The host is very nice, apologetic and helped us get out through another driveway. The view is stunning like the photos. We visited the cows and walked the property.

Backyard camping with a view

Awesome piece of land with an amazing view! Generous amount of space and is beautiful to wake up to in the morning! Clean, well maintained, and felt very safe! The drive to the location was a bit of a trek but a beautiful one through the hills of vermont. Steep hills (on a dirt road) and off roading (through grass) required. Thanks Roy for an awesome stay!

Unbelievable View!

Site 1 - Arbuckle Acres Family Farm

This was an absolutely amazing spot. It was extremely private, with vast space between campers and an unbelievable view. We sat outside our camper and felt like we were looking at a painting! We were up at the very top of a beautiful grass hill and loved that spot. Things to note: You will have to drive up a fairly steep grass hill, so just ensure your tow vehicle is up to that. (My sequoia had no problem) You’ll also need to level quite a bit, so make sure you have plenty of leveler blocks. The last thing to note is that the entry requires you drive through a bit of a ditch, I did bottom out my camper on both the way in and out, but with some careful angling I was able to get out safely. I would 10/10 go back again, it was a perfect spot. My only suggestion would be to add some fill in that entry ditch to make coming and going with a trailer or camper a tad less anxiety enducing. Overall, 100% worth those tricky spots! Wish I could live on that hill!

Site 2 - Arbuckle Acres Family Farm

Beautiful views!! Awesome spot to camp. Plenty of space and views for days overlooking the green mountains. The sun sets right behind the mountains. It’s truly stunning. Great stay - just two watch outs: 1. no cell service at the site. 2. Be careful if you don’t have 4WD. The grade is not super steep to get to the sites, but our 2WD campervan slipped quite a bit on a dry day.

Roy’s land is absolutely beautiful! The views last night coming to the campsite and the views this morning were incredible. Drank some coffee and packed up while taking in some fall foliage. Thank you Roy!

We camped on the Arbuckle Family Farm prior to the solar eclipse and we had a wonderful experience. We were in a field that had a beautiful view overlooking the mountains and a stream nearby. It was very quiet and peaceful. The farm was easy to find and Roy showed us to our tent site quickly. We felt safe and found the entire experience very easy and straightforward. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

Roy was very hospitable and communicative before and during our stay. The property is beautiful, maple syrup delicious, and cows precious. Spectacular views of rolling hills to the west. Would highly recommend and would like to come back again.

Midweek camp trip with my boyfriend. Easy to find, beautiful view. Roy came and brought us firewood and made sure we were all set. We bought eggs from them that were delish! Close to Bent Hill Brewery. The land is used for haying so the grass was tall but didn’t take away from the view. Thanks for letting us stay!

Best Hipcamp Site EVER

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I cannot say enough about this camp site. Truly the most amazing view I have ever seen, plenty of privacy without feeling completely alone, and the hosts were incredible. We purchased eggs and they delivered corn as well. They let us pick our spot since we were the only ones there (it was getting pretty cold!) but our 3 kids ran around in the field, saw the animals, and had an absolute blast. I cannot wait to come back...this is a gem of hipcamps.

Great view

We stayed at site #3 and it was perfect! We loved the view of the mountains and enjoyed a great sunset with a sky streaked in reds. Roy escorted us to the site and brought us dry firewood. We ordered some add-ons and his girlfriend brought us farm fresh eggs, honey, and syrup the next morning. We also got to feed the goats.

Amazing views !

Roy was an amazing host! We got there later than expected around 9 pm and he kindly showed us to our camp spot. Once we settled in we realized we didn’t have cell service to tell our friend how to get to the spot but he knew to go to the Roy’s house first. Roy kindly showed them to the camping spot at 10pm and left us a ton of firewood! The views were unreal we will definitely be back!

Mountain views in nature

Really beautiful site with amazing mountain views. Quiet location among nature and you could see the stars at night. Stayed here 2 nights and hiked Killington Peak. Would definitely recommend!

We've Hipcamped all over Vermont and this is one of the loveliest sites we've visited: a beautiful meadow of wildflowers, daisies, and strawberries and a stunning view of the Green Mountains. Our wonderful host drove us out to the site and provided extra firewood. We'll definitely be back.
