Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from. Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). Beautiful and plenty of wildlife nearby... as well as Outhouses are marked on Map we provide with solar lights marking them at night. Do Not Leave food out when camping or away from site. I have had up to 2 campers and an occasional van/camper at the Council of the Elders. I have most recently had requests to book the entire Pine Forest for guests who are traveling together and want privacy- and Ido my best to work with people to accommodate any needs. Please bring your own firewood if you intend to have a fire. I offered wood to guests in the past when I was able but found that tricky to manage as there are times I myself am out of wood. There is plenty of felled wood all around as the property is surrounded by a dense forest and guests are welcome to gather that to supplement fire making. For winter enthusiasts Mount Snow is a 30 minute drive and folks can cross country ski and snowshoe right from their camp sites to the 36 mile trail. Our group of Book Club friends had the most wonderful stay at Salamander Hollow Healing Habitat! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. Mary is an exceptional host—warm, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in creating a magical experience for her guests. Thank you, Mary, for opening your beautiful space to us! One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the pizza oven. It was such a hit—easy to use, incredibly fun, and the perfect activity to bring everyone together. We made some truly delicious creations and shared plenty of laughs around it. We also loved the variety of sleeping options throughout the property. With so many different configurations, everyone in our group found a cozy, comfortable place to settle in. It made the whole weekend feel relaxed, flexible, and tailored to us. We’re already talking about coming back. Salamander Hollow is a gem!

We enjoyed the horse run in! The run in was clean and had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed the wood burning stove, hot tub, and fire pit. We found the dvd player, books, and record player charming. The farm is beautiful and we enjoyed the town of Londonderry. While the listed rules were a bit overwhelming, Ben and Loana were very kind and hospitable and easy to deal with (it was only surprising bc the rules had set a bit of a different tone). I would highly recommend.

Sleeping amongst the trees is the best! Queen size bed - all linens provided. Wood stove to keep you toasty all night long!

Weekend Trip to Rest Farm

Absolutely loved this spot and the Yurt. It was so toasty warm and a cozy bed. We cooked on the grill and used the Coleman stove provided. We enjoyed a 6 hour long campfire and toasted marshmallows and played Gin. Loved the furnace / stove in the yurt. The hosts were so clear and lovely. We felt lucky to stay and nest here.

This was the perfect “glamping” spot! Tara has the space supplied with everything you may need. We especially enjoyed cooking our dinner over the fire, and sleeping to the sounds of the wood stove burning at night. Be prepared for the sounds of wildlife (coyotes). We never encountered them and always felt safe, but could certainly hear them! We would definitely return to this spot.

We loved camping at the site. The amenities were excellent, and the hot tub was super clean. Overall, the experience was 5 stars. This is in no way to denigrate or take away from the positive review. This is only a suggestion moving forward. When we arrived, we were informed that we were unable to use the fire pit because there was a statewide ban due to a drought in New Hampshire. This is no way the problem of the owner of the site. It is out of their control. However, it would have been nice to know upon booking as doing a campfire is an integral part of the camping experience. The site still receives 5 stars :) -Flynn
