Fall campers will have full access to our corn maze, apples, apple cider, cider donuts, dry hard cider and hay rides. The site is 6.5 miles from the capitol of Montpelier. Our town forest featuring miles of hiking trails is located just one mile from the site. Our parking area is often used by bikers and walkers for convenient parking.

St Johnsbury and Montpelier are the closest cities (25 and 35 minutes). Burlington is 1.25 hours, and Montreal is 2.5 hours. We moved to this land in 2007 with our two small children, and began developing a homestead. Over time, we built 2 greenhouses, a large equipment shed, planted and fenced an orchard, berry & perennial patch, & vegetable garden, made several flower gardens, set up systems for pasturing sheep and chickens, planted native shrubs and trees, and completely renovated the farmhouse. We practice organic regenerative agriculture and landscaping, with a deep commitment to strengthening and diversifying ecological systems. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour drive in any direction. A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators. Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! The wood stove was super easy to use! The fire started quickly, and warmed up the cabin very quickly! Perfect amount of space for three people to stay, although 4 folks would fit comfortably as well! We liked that the loft was carpeted. The burner and fridge were great to have. Special shout out to the bell on the outside of the cabin, it was a delightful addition to the aesthetic.

Weekend Trip to Pine Cone Cabin

We stayed at Pine Cone Cabin in late January when it was -16 degrees out. The cabin kept us warm with the wood stove, and we enjoyed a quiet weekend away. The driveway was plowed when we arrived making it easy for us to park close to the cabin and there was wood available for purchase even though we had come prepared. This is our second time staying at the cabin. Our last visit was in summer. I think both seasons are equally enjoyable at this space as long as you are well prepared.

My stay at Pine Cone Cabin was exactly what I'd hoped for. The perfect balance of rustic simplicity and creature comforts. The wood stove kept the cabin warm all night even when the temps dipped to 0 degrees. Though there are a few houses nearby, the cabin feels and is incredibly private. I felt safe there as a woman alone, from out of town. I don't love portapotties so I brought my own camping toilet to offset my need for it, and appreciated there being ample space in the bathroom to set it up. That said, the portapotty was clean and had no odor. I loved exploring the nearby forests - some are closed during winter but Kettle Pond State Park's trail is open and well worth walking through... wintertime in Vermont is truly something :) fyi, Mint mobile cell signal in the cabin and general area is spotty and mostly nonexistent, which I anticipated and was glad to have downloaded some music and a couple movies in advance. A perfect stay - I'd love to return.

We are a family of four including two teenagers. We had a great time! It was just enough space to feel like we were having an adventure while having real quality time, huddled around the wood stove playing games. We also found a nearby walk at Kettle Pond, which was the perfect happy, medium for the cold temperatures and beautiful surrounding landscapes. The hosts were very communicative and gave us a lot of privacy. Amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. It’s cozy, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The location is ideal — secluded enough to feel private, yet just a short drive to local trails and small-town shops.

Weekend Trip to Art and Health Chill Camping

This was our second time at Sandy’s property and we can’t decide what our favorite season to visit is! There are so many amazing qualities: privacy, lack of light pollution, views, etc. that already have us planning our next visit. The sauna is an absolute must for us as it completely helps us rejuvenate our souls.

Great site with close proximity to Stowe. Seamless check-in; we just confirmed we had arrived. Host was helpful with restaurant recommendations. Others have pointed out that there are houses surrounding the site. I had read the reviews so this was no surprise. We angled our van so that we had the mountain views. I would camp here again.

Beautiful campsites on a hill overlooking the valley. Each site had a covered picnic table, tent platforms, electricity, and a sink. Bathhouse with hot water was a real treat. Hosts were communicative and helpful. Highly recommend.
