6 Sites are on Sunrise Farms 75 acre Conservation land with 50 mile view for Sites 1 and 2. Very quiet area with lots of wildlife and ponds and disc golf. Very quiet with great swimming and lots of hikes right from your sites.
2 of the Brookside Sites (Wishbone Left and Right) are close by (2.7 miles) where we have another 1/2 mile of river frontage and can handle bigger groups as Conservation land on Sunrise Farm only allows 4 campers per site.
Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide.
Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from.
Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear.
We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest).
- PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use).
Beautiful and plenty of wildlife nearby... as well as Outhouses are marked on Map we provide with solar lights marking them at night. Do Not Leave food out when camping or away from site. Bears are rarely seen but it is wild country. Sites have locking garbage lids.
Unique and lovely as well as being next to trails and roads to miles of remote spots with very few if any ... people.
In Winter we request only AWD vehicles go down to this site or park up by farmhouse and hike in so you can easily get out. When wet park up by the road if you have 2 wheel drive.
Always WISE to arrive When LIGHT out as we do not live at the site and are not able to show guests to their sites as a result.

We live on 52 wooded acres in a natural area surrounded by lakes and ponds just 14 miles north of Montpelier VT. We are located on the Green Mountain Gravel Growler bike packing trail and 7 miles south of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. We have lots of hiking , biking, boating and swimming opportunities nearby. Our amenity's include a bath house and laundry. We have two 30 amp RV sites with full hook ups and 4 tent/small RV non electric sites. We are 100% solar powered and have good WIFI but no cell service. We cater to small quiet groups who can enjoy our peaceful setting. If your are bike packing and our sites are booked just text or stop in we will accommodate you.
The campground is located along our town road and the sites are 50 - 100 feet apart along our driveway. This is not a wilderness experience you will have neighbors, including us.
We are a family friendly, non smoking campground. We are open early May till late October. Pets on leashes are OK. Quiet time is all the time :~). 12 and under free, no Generators.

Plenty of places to dip into the cool water when you need to cool off! Walk or drive down to either of 2 covered bridges and see the craftmanship that enables them to continue to be used today! Access the Long Trail at multiple locations within a few miles.
BIKING
Bike the back roads of the area—wooded areas, windy or flat terrain, beautiful views, plenty of spots to rest beside a flowing stream. Or, access the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (93+ miles of non-motorized riding/walking on a converted and maintained railway bed).
FISHING/HUNTING
In the mountains we have streams, brooks, and rivers. There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed.
CANOE, KAYAK, TUBE
Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains.
MAPLE SYRUP/SUGARBUSH
Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home!
WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS
Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys!

Please be prepared to provide your own camping toilet and pack out your trash. If you bring your dog(s), please clean up after them and have "control" as the dirt road is fully in view of the sites. (ATVs (on the trail) and a few vehicles do use the road.)

Art classes and materials are available, for pottery [ beginner to advanced.] as well as sketching, fabric dyeing, plen air, or making mandalas. I do have leather tools, sewing machines, and stained glass. Bring your project or try a new one.
Lots of space in the common barn area for group lesson, or set up a spot and enjoy all by yourself!
Cabot has lots to offer for day trips, be it water sports, rail trail on bikes or walking, music, and cultural events, or purchasing fresh milk, beef, eggs, apples,
cheese, or homemade breads, all from Cabot. Contra Dance, music from Cabot Arts, or at the Den our local pub, are 2 miles away. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour
drive in any direction.
A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators.
Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! See you soon!

Enjoy a private campsite nestled next to a tranquil pond. Soar over our gardens on epic tree swings. Hidden trails bring you through dense forests, past ancient hemlock trees to secluded swimming holes. Ancient stone structures and newer stacked boulders and flower gardens add to the natural beauty all around you.
We have one friendly off-leash dog, Oliver, an Lavender, that roam freely and may want to make friends with you. (And if you ignore them, they will leave you alone). We have laying hens, goats, and piglets that you are welcome to visit! We love animals -- as you can tell -- but are unable to host campers with dogs.
While cozing up to a campfire, you might hear the calls of birds of the deep forest like the hermit thrush and the barred owl, or the call of coyotes on the far ridge. We are surrounded by hundreds of acres of unbroken forest that offer habitat to moose, bear, and deer, and numerous other wildlife. (Don't worry -- these animals are very shy and likely to run in the other direction if they see you.)
Pitch your tent on Thistledew campsite and enjoy a cedar tent platform, fire ring, rustic picnic table, and direct access to the beautiful forest and miles of walking trails. The campsite is a gentle 25-foot walk from the parking spot.
Quill Nook Farm is 25 minutes from artsy, outdoorsy Brattleboro, VT and I-91, and 25 minutes from the quaint village of Wilmington, with restaurants, breweries, and shopping. Mount Snow is 40 minutes away via Routes 9 and 100, and we’re only 45 minutes from the Mass MoCA art museum in North Adams, Mass.
The Harriman Reservoir is located 20 minutes away and provides a variety of spaces for boats, kayakers, swimmers, picnic areas with grills and more!
Do you want an “off the beaten path” hike or swimming hole with rocks for sunbathing? We can direct you to several secluded spots on our property or within 15 minutes. The Green River covered bridge and log dam is 10 minutes down the road, and you can sample from several farmsteads and art galleries in the area.

Here's some more background about the farm itself:
Our farm's site sits near an ancient Abenaki foot trail and crossroads of sorts. Stone cairns and old stone springs speak to centuries if not millennia of human habitation. The land was developed into a farm during Halifax's hey-day in the 1800s. Like many "hill farms" in the region, that farm disappeared into the forest after farmers moved to the Midwest after the Civil War. Thus the land was fully forested when Tristan purchased it in August 2005 — raw acreage, no buildings, no fields. He has been building it into the farm you see around you ever since.
Alison joined in 2020, and we had two kids along the way. The land is permanently conserved with the Vermont Land Trust, meaning it cannot be developed. The forest is sustainably managed for wildlife habitat to Forest Stewardship Council standards. The farmland follows organic practices. We both have off-farm jobs (in the sustainability field), leaving the farm as our passion project.
What we grow: Our gardens are home to Mandrake (the real-life plant that’s repotted in Harry Potter), dang-shen, Caucasian mountain spinach, sea buckthorn, haskap, teosinte — the wild ancestor of modern corn — and dozens of other edibles and medicinals that have been in relationship with humans for centuries or millennia and have largely vanished from modern gardens. We grow for ourselves and we donate our extra eggs and produce to the Foodworks pantry in Brattleboro.

Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, wood-fired hot tub, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A large 16'x20' tent with rain fly well accommodates up to four people.
Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes.

Our organic vegetables are spread out over 129 acres of flat river bottom fields and high sandy plateaus. The Pekin Brook winds down the middle of the farm and has a couple deeper pools for swimming.

OneRiver Farm is located at the base of the mythical Lincoln Gap Road, a mile from the center of picturesque and beloved hamlet of Lincoln, Vermont. The location is 7 minutes to the Long Trail, and 20 minutes to more natural wonder and Vermont-ness that you could ever imagine. Just ask for recommendations!
Lincoln has been considered an epicenter of positive energy, community spirit, and a draw to spiritual practitioners and communities for hundreds of. years, and was reenergized in the 60s and 70s. These OneRiver fields have also hosted gatherings of native peoples for thousands of years. My home for the past 40 years is right next to a stunning waterfall and brook.

My land abuts the 700 acres of school property behind me and I have trail and path access right from my yard to many miles of an old road bed for walking, biking, hiking, or exploring the length of the brook.

You have access to my delicious pure clean spring water from the hose.

Dynamite Hollow felt less like a place we stayed and more like a little world we got to disappear into for five days. My husband, our 8- and 9-year-olds, our dog Spumoni, and I absolutely loved every August minute.
The water is impossibly clear, the property is peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully cared for, and somehow there is always another little corner to explore. The Upper Gorge was especially magical—lush, mossy, almost New Zealand-like, with that rare feeling that maybe no one had ever wandered through there before you.
We swam, explored, soaked in the amazing hot tub, built fires with the plentiful dry, cut firewood, and settled into the kind of slow days you wish could last much longer. Everything we needed was there, and the recommendations for things to see and do were spot-on.
It’s wild and beautiful without sacrificing comfort—the perfect mix of adventure and retreat. Five days somehow didn’t feel like enough. We were already talking about our next trip before we even left…will be back!!

Lovely property in rural Vermont. It’s very scenic and peaceful. As the host suggests, it’s best to arrive before dark as although the entrance is easy to find the sites can be difficult to distinguish. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Weekend Trip to The Hollow at Dynamite Falls
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend camping here. Everything was perfect. It’s set far enough back in the woods that you really have privacy but it’s still convenient to get to your vehicle. It was so nice to unplug and be away from society. The views are beautiful the tent was very clean and set up comfortably. Host provided us with lots of information about the site and surrounding area and was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Great spot on top of a hill and night sky is full of stars!
Host was very accommodating and provided lots of firewood for a campfire. Appreciated the hospitality and fast communication regarding getting firewood! Definitely will come back for another visit.

Wowee what an amazing site!! Katherine was super welcoming, and her little dog Jo was a riot. We stayed at the Tuckaway site and Katherine greeted us when we got there, gave a clear layout of the land with a printed map, instructions on use of the property and then we did the guided tour of the trails along the brook to see the swimming hole spots. When we went swimming the next day we walked along the trails and then through the brook even further and the water was so clear and refreshing! We saw the sunset from atop the hill at our site, and the stargazing was incredible. Love the table and chairs at the site. The tent spot nestled in the pines is great, especially when it rained one night that extra coverage helped (but watch out for roots when pitching). Tons of wood and kindling in the forest for a fire. Little to no bugs! We also did a partial day exploring Montpelier, real cute town with good food and art. Check out the breakfast spot Outer Spice about ten minutes from Katherine's place too! Katherine was a wonderful host, it was great to chat with her and she kept us updated on everything throughout our stay, making sure we were comfortable and sharing stories. Thanks for sharing your land with us!

Stayed on site 1, the views in the morning were beautiful. Felt very private but easy access off the road with our travel trailer. Power and water hookups were close and convenient. Roy was very accommodating and responsive of our last minute booking request. Would definitely recommend.

Such a beautiful location and incredibly hospitable, gracious hosts. We had very last minute change of plans and without hesitation, Janet refunded one night of our stay. We love the site's Stonehenge atmosphere and cozy nook by the fire. 10/10 Very easy to locate coming from Western Mass.

The site we stayed at was wonderful - it was right next to a stream and big enough for the 2 large tents our group brought. My favorite part was the swimming hole we went to that was about a 5 minute walk from the tent. It was so peaceful and private. Tommie was a great host - very responsive and accommodating with great recommendations. Warren Falls was less than 20 minutes away, which had a ton of spots to swim, jump, and hang out. We also got to enjoy Tommie's homemade lavender lemonade and purchased some lavender and black garlic while we were there. Highly recommend staying at this site!

Group trip
This was the first time my friends and i have ever camped and we are so glad we spent our weekend at katherine’s site! As soon as we arrived Katherine instantly made it a priority to make us feel at home. She is very informative and kind which made us feel so welcomed. The site is very clean, comfortable and spacious! You’re right across the street from the Brooke and it makes the entire experience so much better! We’d 100% come back just to visit katherine again.

The camp was great! A clean, quiet spot, away from any neighbors. There was a bit of wood when we got there and plenty for purchase. The creek is super close with a small waterfall directly by the camp. The water was clear and cold and the waterfall provides great ambiance. Absolutely wonderful for a campsite!

We loved staying in Chapin’s tent. This was a beautiful campsite area. You get the whole place to yourself! And the river right there is so nice. The hikes and zip line were awesome! Will definitely book again!!

This is an exquisite property, maintained by people who have a gorgeous ascetic. All of the facilities are well cared for and designed to fit into their settings. I went in expecting land that was newly acquired and being let out to help fund the purchase. What you will find is an incredibly gracious property that has been preserved and curated by people who have a deep set of skills and an obvious love for the land

With pets
We loved camping at wishbone left! We were 4 adults, 4 kids, and 4 dogs...with 2 cars and 2 large tents. We stayed for a week. The setting was gorgeous - right on the river, surrounded by trees, and 20-40 minutes from everything we wanted to do! There was a path down to the river which we did daily. The outhouse was up the hill between our site and another site. We paid for trash pick up and totes of wood for the fire. The scene was quiet and peaceful. We felt that the kids could be loud and wild without upsetting anyone near by. The only issue we really had was that the rain made the spot pretty mucky. It rained before we arrived and then a few times that week. So there was a huge puddle in the middle of the spot for most of the time we were there. Not sure if mulch would help manage that. It was easy to communicate with Roy via Hipcamp too. Thanks for a great stay!
