Our beautiful ranch is a Family Farm started by Grandpa Dar. We continue to honor the old ways of caring for free roaming chickens, growing food without chemicals, honey bee shelters, sharing our Hearth and Home with family and friends. Our rose gardens are delightful, and full of birds.. enjoy... We have been planting Hazelnut Trees, Chestnut Trees, Peach Trees, and a grove of old Oak Trees, old apple tree varieties, and of course our Mulberry trees... We have expanded our ranch to a few more acres for our cows to be able to have more room. Our Fire Pit is open to all guests. The wood for all designated fire areas is provided. There are BBQ Grills, Dutch Ovens, etc so you can cook out doors. The Outdoor hot water shower offers a place to cool down in summer heat... Water is always hot with our tankless water heater... We plant and tend vegetable gardens for our guests to share in the harvest. We plant Huggle Mounds in the spring... as well as grapes and assorted fruit trees... You are welcome to walk our Custom Labyrinth. You are free to wander the fields, gardens and orchards. When the garden is in bloom, help yourself... Most sites have air conditions or fans, as well as heaters in season. 110 power is at each site... We have a Grumpy Dragon Cafe outside with a help yourself breakfast bar. Picnic tables are provided at tent sites and at the Grumpy Dragon. WIFI is available at the Grumpy Dragon as well as at your camp site... Help your self to muffins, breakfast bars, beverages and fresh fruit. A refrigerator is outside for cold water and frozen water bottles. Coffee, tea and Hot chocolate is always available. We are a husband-and-wife team that purchased raw land in 2020 and have been building Glamping Canyonlands ever since. We privately own and operate a sustainable off grid property. We proudly run our business off solar power. We have a recycling and compost program along with happy pasture raised chickens and free range kittens. We work to reduce waste by supporting businesses that focus on the environment, health and using non-plastic products where we can. We use simple, clean, natural cleaning products. We do not use single use plastic and provide washable cotton paper towels and hand towels. We work with locals to bring you tours, pastries, breads and hand crafted souvenirs for you to remember your trip. We have a mix of different unique units so there is something for everyone. 3 bell tents, 1 stargazing lotus tent, 1 safari tent, cedar pod, moon stargazing barrel, solar powered casita and an unfurnished high rise tent. We have 22 acres and we are currently using around 5 acres. We like to space out our units so there is privacy at every units. We have a communal kitchen that is equipped to make some gourmet meals. Flat top grill, BBQ Box, pizza oven and a stove. Communal modern bathrooms with hand towels and bath supplies are available. Sauna is available to our guests along with coffee and breakfast delivery. Late check-ins are available. Located on private and rural land 40 mins South of Moab and 40 mins from the entrance of The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park (the hikers paradise park!) Our land borders Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands and State Trust Lands which means you have a panoramic view of the desert landscape and dark skies. We are surrounded by Dark Sky National Parks, State Park, Monuments and communities. Because of this, light population is almost non-existent. We built this place to be an escape or a place to unwind from our busy and loud daily lives. Embrace the break from the daily grind and find space here on the open desert. We opened to our first guests in October 2020 with only 3 bell tents, 1 bathroom and a kitchen inside a tent. Retro Star Ranch is big and secluded. Aside from a few trailers that dot the hills in the distance you are pretty much on your own. We have 25 acres of land at the end of a private road in a secret hidden valley not far from SLC, Ogden and Eden Utah. This land is pristine and connected to over 5000 acres of undeveloped open space. The property is part of a recreational property subdivision. You might see some fellow campers on quads, occasionally you might hear gunfire, but you're more likely to see deer, fox, grouse, birds of prey, moose and possibly elk. Not far from Causey Reservoir and the South Fork of the Ogden River both of which have great water for floating and fishing. You could easily get here in a sedan when dry but not recommended for sports or low clearance vehicles. If you have 4x4 that is better, especially if you want to venture to our last campsite or pull a trailer here. We've pulled a 30' foot trailer but the road is skinny in places and the turns are tight, bumpy from cobbles and ruts and often have puddles. There is about 2 miles of that climbs over a ridge. If you're adventurous and a confident driver on dirt roads you will have no problem. If it's you're first time pulling a trailer or if you have a low clearance then this might not be the spot for you. However, if you're looking for something peaceful and secluded that is not that far from town, this is it. We can also accommodate larger groups or multiple vehicles if desired. Please contact us with any special requests or questions. The Knoll site is better for trailers and larger groups. It has a loop through driveway and can accommodate a few trailers. Please be aware that this is wilderness camping and there are wild animals throughout the woods. It is best to stay on trail or at the site and be alert for snakes, big cats, moose and deer.

Indian Canyon Ranch is a rugged, isolated, off grid property which focuses on enjoying the outdoor beauty of our little corner of the spectacular American South West. Please be advised, that during heavy rain four-wheel drive may be necessary but in all cases low clearance vehicles are not ideal on the last section of road but if you arrive before dark and go slow any vehicle can make it. If you arrive after dark the last bit of road looks more challenging than it actually is due to shadows on the surface caused by the head lights. Units are not heated. Please plan to show up before dark for the best experience and ease of finding the location. Indian Canyon Ranch is proud to be an independent, off grid property with limited solar power and water available. There are no RV hook ups available but there is limited solar power in the rental units and in the communal area but not in the primitive campsites. Campsites are primitive camping only. Showers in the main communal area are solar powered and only hot with the sun and for an hour or so after sunset Joe purchased this property in 2008. At that time, it was 8 acres, and it is now at 20 acres continuous property. The ranch is situated 2 miles off the highway down a bumpy dirt road on the edge of the national forest, this gives you a feeling of being in the wilderness. The south and east sides are boarded by canyons and ruins. All other private properties in the area are 10 acres or more so are well spread out and sparsely populated. All the structures on site were brought here piece by piece and were salvaged from construction projects in Yosemite and Grand Canyon national parks. Water is manually hauled in and the power in the kitchen area is solar generated so please be conscious of water and power use.

Weekend Trip to High Sage Hogans

We had such a great stay! The tipi was a really cool and unique camping experience, close enough to Moab to get to everything easily, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of town. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. Our favorite part of the trip was definitely Ringo, the sweet dog on the property. He “showed us around” and played with our dog the entire stay. Watching them run and explore together was honestly a highlight. Danny was incredibly kind and hospitable. He checked in on us, made sure we were comfortable, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a good experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Capitol Reef RV Park and Glamping

Stayed in #60, an A-framed structure about 200sq/ft with electricity, AC, heat, and windows that view the sky. Site has a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs around the fire. Very comfortable bedding. Beautiful and quiet grounds. Well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are a 10/10. Justin at the store/clubhouse is top notch and a great host with great recommendations to local hikes and restaurants. There is also a cool dog park area that is fenced in and has some fun obstacles for them. All in all this place is awesome and we cannot wait to come back.

What a beautiful experience. We stayed for two nights and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The weather was perfectly crisp and fall-like, and Lynnellen made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She shared fresh vegetables from her garden and repeatedly encouraged us to make ourselves comfortable, and we truly felt like we could. Each morning, she made us breakfast that left our bellies happy and full, and Sunday dinner was incredibly nourishing. The conversations we shared were filled with warmth and sincerity. You can tell Lynnellen is someone full of love and joy who genuinely wants to share it with others, and you can see that same spirit reflected in the people passing through her home. If you’re looking for a place that radiates community, love, and connection, this is it. Our hearts feel very full after just two days here. The old Spanish trail can be found nearby for hiking and/or biking and there are mountains and cool wildlife all around in the valley. The stars all pop completely present with no light pollution to spoil them. Additionally, Southern Utah has so many other trails and beautiful places all over in almost any direction. Zion National Park is only a little over an hour drive away down I-15. I highly recommend Kanarraville Falls as well, as it's at most only 30 minutes away. *** Getting to the property: It is directly off of the "main" road which consists of a well kept wide dirt road. The GPS location will guide you straight there to an intersecting road with a stop sign called 1200 E which runs south the "main" road/4800 N/AKA Antelope Springs Rd. At this intersection, there is a trail running north marked with an orange post for fiber cable. That trail and road marks the bottom left corner of the property if you're facing north. Follow the trail and find your way anywhere on the right side, there are already some campsites made up, but you are also welcome to make your own to your hearts desire. Be mindful of your vehicle, cars can drive the trail but there is always a risk of getting stuck. You can also park on the main road as you are already at the property anyway and can just walk in a little ways to set up your camp. **It's important to be aware of any fire warnings for Iron County, Utah. Do a Google search for fire threats and it should be the first thing you see. Most of the time, large bonfires will be highly discouraged. Use good judgment when building a fire of any size. *Cedar City is a straight shot East if you need any medical attention.

This land has been in our family for four generations to graze our herd of sheep. The property consists of mostly pasture land, desert sage, pinyon pine trees and panoramic mountain views. The ranch is surrounded by some of the most amazing scenery anywhere and endless outdoor opportunities! We have a single (self check-in) RV/trailer/van parking area complete with water, power, sewer, WiFi and picnic table. All guests MUST have their own bathroom, clean up after pets and pack out any trash. We are unable to accommodate tent or car camping anywhere on the property unless you are with a group that has a trailer or RV equipped with a bathroom available for use during your stay and no open wood burning fires are permitted at this time.
