It has various trees on property with cedar, live oak, post oak, etc. Campsites are in front of a wide waterfall which is about 5 feet in height. You can fall asleep with the sound of the waterfalls! We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. Awesome little oasis! A quick weekend get away was not enough! Plus the restrooms were beautiful, clean and a great plus. We were what it seemed like away from it all but still had a cell signal. There was so much to do, trails, beautiful pond, horse shoe, geocache and more! 5/5 stars and more.

Incredible lil camping spot. The nearby water was beautiful and the treehouse at the end of the trail was something else! Definitely would love to use this campground again for future trips. Be aware that the campsites are situated near to each other - we got lucky and were the only ones there the night of our experience.

I loved camping at Deer Creek! The waterfall was really neat & the camping sites are remote. Communication was excellent as well! We checked in after 9 & John was still available to answer questions. We look forward to visiting again in the spring.

Weekend Trip to The Hive Yurt Retreat

Such a lovely place! We have stayed in many rental units over the years, but this was our first yurt (we are usually tent campers) and it was Wonderful. Clean and well kept with every detail considered. Bathrooms are easily accessible and also clean and welcoming. Sauna is the Best! (and they even provide bathrobes)! Despite the quick Texas-style weather change (from 75 to 40 overnight), we were warm and cozy inside. Our weenie dog even felt like she was home.

1 night at High Hope Ranch

I was welcomed by friendly goats and lil pig. Since, it was a thanksgiving day - I only saw three people in the area. Our tent was superb! Perfect spot for our camping but unfortunately we have to leave after 3 hours of stay coz my son has an anxiety attack. He just got tired from our previous camp (this is actually our second spot). I believe we need to come back here again soon and explore the area. The communication w the host was great. All the instructions were given clearly and the suggested trail to explore. We really need to come back here again soon.

Had a great time at Allison’s property! We were at tent #2 it was very spacious for the both of us and our dog! The bathhouse was decorated beautiful and super clean as well. The trails and pond were nice, she even had a fun geocache game which was super fun at night! Would come here again 100%!

Weekend Trip to Bee Mountain River Resort

Really nice camping spots that's not too far from Fort Worth! We had such an amazing time the spot was perfect for stargazing and relaxing. There's not really any Internet service it was very spotty, but that's what makes it even better. It's nice to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The river is right at the camp spot easy access for kayak and paddle boards. Our dogs also loved this spot!

Weekend Trip to Coyote Creek Farm

We loved camping on Regena’s land. She met us on the driveway and took us to our campsite. She picked one out for us that’s mostly grass, a nice newer picnic table, bucket potty that she emptied out for us, fire ring and trash bin. Her property was so private, Regena was the only person we saw. We loved the two nights we were there. Easy drive to Waco, we went antique store shopping and went to the Silos. Would highly recommend.

The camping area was clean, spacious and well-maintained, with fire pits and trash cans provided. With amenities such as flushing toilets and hot showers, we will definitely be returning, during Steampunk November (the event held near the camping grounds) and for other events nearby.

The camp grounds are very nice and fairly well thought out. A little difficult to know where to go but once you figure out the layout it's a little easier. I love that it was just a short walk from most of the campsites to the restrooms. A little more info about what to expect and also where the showers were located would help. Showers were fair except the wooden backsplash was kinda gross. Oh well. I'm just glad there were showers with hot water etc. Would def recommend and will def return

We were very close to the showers and the toilet. There was a large trashcan right at the campsite. Even though the hipcampers were relatively close to one another in proximity, the cedar grove of trees provided a lot of privacy, it was very peaceful and quiet the Sat night we stayed.
