This is really pretty piece of ground, excellent access to the Frio, and the camp host Carlos was very welcoming and constantly made sure we had what we needed. We will be looking forward to returning for another lovely stay.

Let me just say this place is awesome! Carlos is an amazing host of the campgrounds and is very welcoming from beginning to end. Me and my cousin decided to stay here as a last minute trip and we didn’t regret it. We had a beautiful campsite, electricity, the showers/restroom are nice and well maintained. There is a patio area connected to the office that has games like corn hole and connect 4. He has a tv and we all watched the Astros game. The WiFi works pretty good too! Overall we had everything we needed and if you are missing anything , Carlos just might have it and will not hesitate to let you borrow something or use his amenities to make your trip that much better. I would recommend this place 1000 times thank you Carlos !

We just got back from camping at the rio frio, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about how peaceful and beautiful everything was. The property is incredibly well-maintained—everything felt clean, cared for, and intentionally laid out. Each campsite felt secluded enough to have your own space, which made it feel like a true escape for healing. The host, Carlos, was amazing. Their kindness, attention to detail, and welcoming energy made the whole experience 10 times better. It genuinely felt like a safe and inclusive space to just rest. Already dreaming of our next trip

We had an amazing time at Rio Frio Camp. Carlos was the best host and super accommodating. Bathrooms were clean, and there was a Pavillion with patio furniture and games. The property was beautiful.

Awesome site. Great location with great river access. Bathrooms and showers were super clean. The host, Carlos, was really friendly and helpful with everything we needed. 5 star experience, starting with Carlos to the location, cleanliness, pet friendly, river access, amenities, and more! Highly recommend staying here and will be returning soon without a doubt.

We had a great weekend at Rio Frio RV! Carlos was an amazing host and the best camp host I've ever experienced. Super friendly and accommodating, Carlos moved a picnic table to our site for us to use and even offered an extra extension cord if we needed it. The property is vast and relatively quiet with has loads of wildlife! We had deer, rabbits, squirrels and more.... a birder's delight - hummingbirds, cardinals, doves, chickadees, woodpeckers, black-crested titmouse, and even a hawk with a nest above our site. Having direct river access for fishing or floating, and being literally 5 minutes from Garner SP were huge draws for us and offered the perfect reprieve from the crowds at Garner. Will definitely be back, especially with the plans Carlos has to make the site even better than it already is.

I had a great relaxing time. There was access to the Frio River. I arrived early enough to enjoy the river. It’s some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen. Beautiful nature views. I saw one deer across the river. This is one of those places that you return year after year. That’s my plan anyway. The host had a nice friendly attitude and was very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place.

This was such a beautiful place to stay and Carlos was an amazing host. He greeted us when we arrived and was very attentive to anything we needed. If you love being outdoors and by the river, this is definitely the place to stay. We will be back!

This place is the best site I have been to yet! Quiet and serene; beautiful natural surroundings. Fall asleep to the sounds of the babbling Frio River. Carlos is very kind, accommodating your every need! There is RV sites, and a very private primitive camp area. (my recommendation). As a solo female camper, I felt safe and looked after. This is an awesome hidden gem!

It's a rustic and mellow spot with some cool animals hanging around. Occasional truck noise from the road, but it was mostly quiet with a view of the night sky. Arrive stocked up because there is no shopping nearby. I would stay here again if coming through Eagle Pass.

My family and I loved the beauty and privacy of Daryl’s land. The hospitality was great, Jonathan provided fantastic support during our check in. We used a large inflatable hot tent with wood stove that made the camping very cozy, the landscape was gorgeous. The access to the river is easy and surrounded by trees and wildlife. The fact of the dog could stay off leash was also very good. I certainly recommend and have plans to come back.

Camp Cold Springs is a newly renovated RV park situated on 14 acres along the Frio river with approximately 450 feet of Frio river frontage. Located 2 miles north of Garner State Park at 1101 Cold Spring Ranch Rd Concan, TX, we offer 50 full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp connections available at every site. We have pull-through and back-in sites that either live in the shade or soak up the sun. There are two private river access points on the property for guests that lead you down to the cool, refreshing, gorgeous Frio River. Alongside the river, you will notice our spring-fed pond where many of our junior campers enjoy fishing. The river frontage at Camp Cold Springs is perfect for all ages with easy access walking down to the river. We have a large, generally flat, shallow area that is great for little ones to roam around or guests that enjoy lounging in the refreshing Frio waters. The rock island is enjoyed by our more adventurous guests that like to take an aerial approach into the river, while on the southern part of our river, guests enjoy the 2-4 foot deep swimming areas of the river. Learn more about this land: Star Gazers welcome. Secluded riverfront cabin and multiple tent camping area on 1.8 acres. Cabin is 20 X 20, sleeps two air mattress's with toilet and outdoor shower. Several areas to set up tents and enjoy the river without the distractions of electricity or cell phones (ATT may have some service). Open air cabin is screened in to avoid natural animals but a nice breeze blows off the river which will keep you cool at night. 125 feet to the beautiful Frio River from the campsite. Enjoy walks in the morning, camp cooking, star gazing at night, a Bar-B-Que pit is provided and enjoy a fire in the fire pit. A rope swing is just minutes up river. This is primitive camping on the Frio River at its best. -4 wheel drive is mandatory to cross river.
