Great hideaway! We got there pretty late and had to leave early, so we did not get to really enjoy this spot. It looked super cute with cabins for rent. We were in spot number one, which was pretty level and hook ups were great. Checked out Memaw's country store the next morning. Very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I had an amazing time staying two nights! We stayed in one of the spots in the back and camped out of our van. Great little fire pit clean bathrooms the pool was awesome! A little bit cold for this time of year but we didn't care. Great place to do dishes watch TV play games and cook for the family. Hosts were extremely friendly and there is a firewood, ice, and some food as well as souvenirs available as well. This place is even nicer than staying at a state park. Tenting in the rain, but worth it!
Site 6 - Al's Hideaway Primitive Camping
Right off the back the people were nice as can be! The place was clean and we were shown to our spot. ITS A MUST TO GO INTO THE LITTLE SHOP! Was super awesome with all the amenities and everything was clean in the common area. Can’t wait to go back when it’s warm enough for the pool! Also was able to wonder around and see all the wildlife. Even though it rain a good bit on us, we still had an amazing time!

The WigWam TeePee
The Tipi was a fun experience, my 4yo loved it. The pavilion was nice and the bathrooms and showers were very convenient. We enjoyed hiking around the property. We’ll be back for sure!

The Hippie RV Spaces
We LOVED this RV park, its quiet, off the beaten path, but not too far out of town. The owners are super friendly and we enjoyed getting to know them, they clearly love their park. Their is a really awesome outdoor pavilion with tables, chairs, outdoor grill/kitchen, fireplace to sit at and enjoy in the evenings, they have horseshoe and corn hole games and a nice little trail across the back of the party. Plus, they do pancakes with Santa for Christmas! We will definitely be back here next time we come through the area. It's one of our new favorites.

We had an awesome time! We actually ended up staying in a cabin instead of the teepee because of the weather. The staff was super helpful and friendly and we will be back to stay again! The accommodations were great and the setting was perfect!

Great place ! Owners were very friendly and inviting . Front area feels more like glamping , but their other apota in the back are far more secluded from the front , great way to camp if your looking for more of a primitive camp . They even have Tipis !!! Great pavilion area with showers and place to make food and chill .

We enjoyed our stay at Al’s hideaway. Very sweet owners they made us feel at home and the camp ground was very clean. They had pavilion area, restroom and shower very clean. They have a little shop with snacks and essentials. Definitely a place I would come back too.

Nice campsites and plenty of space between them. Bathroom has functioning and comfortable shower, toilets and sink. Other than washing my dishes I didn't make much use of the covered lounge/kitchen area but its nice to know its there in case there's bad weather. Welcoming and friendly hosts. I'm sure I'll be back.

We enjoyed our quick trip to Al's hideaway. It was quiet and comfortable. There was so much to do there. The pavilion was amazing! The bathrooms were clean and ready to get to.

Absolutley amazing stay. Can not beat the amenities they have available. Our grandbabies loved the Tipi and even though it rained we stayed nice and dry. Owners are super friendly.

Great place for singles, couple, and or family. Very quiet and quaint atmosphere along with friendly operators of the hideaway. It literally is a hideaway there is so much brush and coverage in the primitive tent area. Clean restroom and showers, nice pavilion an luckily for us the pool was open 24/7 which really helped us tent campers on the 100 degree day and cooling off in the middle of the night for more comfortable sleep. Will love to revisit in the future! There is a little general store on site but if needed a gas station is not too far away.

Site 6 - Al's Hideaway Primitive Camping
Their name is perfect, because this place is very tucked away! I felt very safe tent camping here solo, especially given there were no other tent campers that night! The property is tucked away off of any major roads, and you have to follow one of the camp hosts in your vehicle to even get to the tent camping area, which I liked. The bathroom was about a 1 minute walk from where my tent was pitched, and it had one sink and two toilet stalls. There was a motion sensor light that turned on at night which was helpful for finding it in the dark. Overall it was a great place to stay for one night as I was passing through the area!

This our 3rd time visiting and definitely not the last Gordon , Jeniffer and Samantha are great hosts and it is always great to stay in Al's Hideaway.

Site 6 - Al's Hideaway Primitive Camping
It was great to be at Al’s Hideaway once again. Was there two years ago camping outback on the primitive site. Very peaceful and woodsy. This time had a camper so was in the RV spot which was very comfortable. Good to see the addition of a general store, feels like a camp. Also love the big patio area with outdoor kitchen and bathrooms and showers. Overall just a great experience once again.
