This is our family farm, though you probably will not see us much. The campsite is located on a corner of the property on Cummins Creek and once you get there you will feel secluded in nature. Matt grew up here swimming, fishing and exploring in this creek...the creek has taught him more about life than anyone ever could. Some of the forest burned down in the great Bastrop wildfire in 2011, but it has grown back.

Lost Pines Camping is located on a gravel dead-end road. We are in a pine forest with some oaks and have a two-acre lake on the property that is good for swimming. Bastrop and Buescher State Parks are nearby and easy to access through back roads. Blackberries can be picked for a month or so in springtime.
Downtown Bastrop and Downtown Smithville are both a ten-minute drive away.
The bathroom is a 2 minute walk from the tent site. With a surveyor's wheel it is 334 feet walk through the forest.

Welcome to Magickal Dickburg! This gorgeous 5-acre secluded piece of paradise is located between Bastrop and Paige, Texas. Dickburg is perfect for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and be fully embraced by nature. You will find yourself surrounded by dozens of beautiful Loblolly Pines, Junipers, and a variety of Oak trees. On a clear night, you’ll be able to look up and see all the stars over Texas!
Currently, we are only offering semi-primitive camping spots - we have electricity, Wi-Fi, and a porta-potty for our guests to use, but no running water or showers. There is an 8ft. diameter communal firepit with firewood that can be used as long as there isn't a burn ban in effect. There are designated parking spaces on the property and from there, it’s just a short walk to the camping areas. You will need to bring any and all gear needed for camping, as we are only offering camping spaces. No glass bottles or containers of any kind and no generators.
While there isn’t much to do inside Dickburg, other than exploring the land, stargazing around the firepit, and generally just vibing with Mother Nature, there are plenty of things to do nearby. We are only 15 minutes from Sherwood Forest Faire (only open during the weekends of March and April & a few other days during the year), 18 minutes from Bastrop State Park if you want to fish, swim, or hike, 25 minutes from Downtown Bastrop, and 30 minutes from the Dinosaur Park, the Capital of Texas Zoo, McKinney Roughs and Zip Lost Pines!
Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. Please be sure to clean up any messes your pet makes.
Dickburg embraces a ‘Leave No Trace’ camping style, meaning, whatever items you bring with you, please take with you when you leave, including trash, items to be recycled, and pet waste.
Please keep in mind that, while it may feel like you’re hundreds of miles from civilization, we do have neighbors on both sides of us and behind us. Three out of four sides of Dickburg have a regular fence while the fourth (north side) has a natural barrier of piled brush. Please do not cross into our neighbor’s property or allow your kiddos/animals to wander unsupervised. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am.
Other Things to Note:
We have done countless hours of work to get Dickburg ready for you to enjoy. With that being said, it’s still raw land out in the country. There will be critters - snakes, lizards, bugs, etc. This was their land first and we’re just grateful we get to share it with them. Please use common sense when exploring the land and do not handle any wildlife. There is absolutely NO hunting or killing of any wildlife while at Dickburg. The ONLY exception to this rule is mosquitoes. You'll definitely want to bring bug spray, bug zappers, citronella candles, etc.... and kill as many of those blood-sucking jerks as possible!
Do not be surprised if you hear gunshots during your stay. There is a shooting range just down the street. We mention this, not to scare you, but to make you aware so that you’re not scared when you do hear them. #countrylife
String lights have been installed around Site #2. This is not only to light your way after the sun sets but also to set a boundary of where not to venture after dark. Please stay within the lighted area. The lights can be plugged in and unplugged at the electrical pole, near the RV (yellow extension cord).
Dickburg is a very new camping area and is still a work in progress. After clearing the land, the land was left with exposed roots and tree stumps. For the safety of our guests, please be sure to have a light source with you when walking around at night. We are working to get roots and stumps removed, but it will take some time.
We may or may not be onsite during your stay as we are continually working to improve the space for our guests. Feel free to come and say hi if you see us out and about. Or don’t! It’s completely up to you if you feel like being social or not! Also, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the area or other amenities you’d like to see, please let us know. We welcome your feedback!

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!
Note: There is no electricity or bathrooms on the property. Please pack out what you pack in.
We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

Welcome to Magickal Dickburg! This gorgeous 5-acre secluded piece of paradise is located between Bastrop and Paige, Texas. Dickburg is perfect for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and be fully embraced by nature. You will find yourself surrounded by dozens of beautiful Loblolly Pines, Junipers, and a variety of Oak trees. On a clear night, you’ll be able to look up and see all the stars over Texas!
Currently, we are only offering semi-primitive camping spots - we have electricity, Wi-Fi, and a porta-potty for our guests to use, but no running water or showers. There is an 8ft. diameter communal firepit with firewood that can be used as long as there isn't a burn ban in effect. There are designated parking spaces on the property and from there, it’s just a short walk to the camping areas. You will need to bring any and all gear needed for camping, as we are only offering camping spaces. No glass bottles or containers of any kind and no generators.
While there isn’t much to do inside Dickburg, other than exploring the land, stargazing around the firepit, and generally just vibing with Mother Nature, there are plenty of things to do nearby. We are only 15 minutes from Sherwood Forest Faire (only open during the weekends of March and April & a few other days during the year), 18 minutes from Bastrop State Park if you want to fish, swim, or hike, 25 minutes from Downtown Bastrop, and 30 minutes from the Dinosaur Park, the Capital of Texas Zoo, McKinney Roughs and Zip Lost Pines!
Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. Please be sure to clean up any messes your pet makes.
Dickburg embraces a ‘Leave No Trace’ camping style, meaning, whatever items you bring with you, please take with you when you leave, including trash, items to be recycled, and pet waste.
Please keep in mind that, while it may feel like you’re hundreds of miles from civilization, we do have neighbors on both sides of us and behind us. Three out of four sides of Dickburg have a regular fence while the fourth (north side) has a natural barrier of piled brush. Please do not cross into our neighbor’s property or allow your kiddos/animals to wander unsupervised. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am.
Other Things to Note:
We have done countless hours of work to get Dickburg ready for you to enjoy. With that being said, it’s still raw land out in the country. There will be critters - snakes, lizards, bugs, etc. This was their land first and we’re just grateful we get to share it with them. Please use common sense when exploring the land and do not handle any wildlife. There is absolutely NO hunting or killing of any wildlife while at Dickburg. The ONLY exception to this rule is mosquitoes. You'll definitely want to bring bug spray, bug zappers, citronella candles, etc.... and kill as many of those blood-sucking jerks as possible!
Do not be surprised if you hear gunshots during your stay. There is a shooting range just down the street. We mention this, not to scare you, but to make you aware so that you’re not scared when you do hear them. #countrylife
String lights have been installed around Site #2. This is not only to light your way after the sun sets but also to set a boundary of where not to venture after dark. Please stay within the lighted area. The lights can be plugged in and unplugged at the electrical pole, near the RV (yellow extension cord).
Dickburg is a very new camping area and is still a work in progress. After clearing the land, the land was left with exposed roots and tree stumps. For the safety of our guests, please be sure to have a light source with you when walking around at night. We are working to get roots and stumps removed, but it will take some time.
We may or may not be onsite during your stay as we are continually working to improve the space for our guests. Feel free to come and say hi if you see us out and about. Or don’t! It’s completely up to you if you feel like being social or not! Also, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the area or other amenities you’d like to see, please let us know. We welcome your feedback!

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!
Note: There is no electricity or bathrooms on the property. Please pack out what you pack in.
We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

Great and secluded little spot on the river. There are more tent/rv sites nearby, but i had the whole area to myself. Bathroom was clean, well lit and close by. Camper covered the basics and ac/heater unit kept us comfortable.

So a friend of mine recommended this spot and the family liked the idea of camping Christmas weekend so that's what we did. Booked the cute little camper and pitched a tent outside. It worked out perfect for a family of 4 adults & 2 littles. The camper is so adorable and was very comfortable. They've got a mini fridge, coffee pot w/ coffee provided and even had a TV! Guys were able to watch the football game on a big screen! Oh and did I mention it's air conditioned! Huge fire pit and the outhouse was pretty cool. 2 showers and toilet and just across from the camper which was very nice. Towels and shampoo were provided even. They had canoes to use at your discretion. A swing for small ones. Very much a nice & cozy spot and would definitely camp there again!

The property is amazing. We spend two night here starting Christmas Day.
It was right up next to the Colorado river. So kayaking was a must, but up stream, currents were quite strong. So fun and peaceful.
We were left alone and the bath house was a great addition for tent camping for two nights.
A wonderful fire pit to cook on, and our request for fire wood was delivered!
Highly recommend!

Big beautiful campsite right along the Colorado river gorgeous view. Super cute bath house with two showers one toilet there’s towels , shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available. There’s a separate dishwashing station on the left side of the bathhouse. The host was extremely nice very responsive. She’s on the ground so if you ever need anything, she’s there to help. We’ll definitely return!

Bathroom and showers were nice and clean and stocked with amenities like towels, bath rugs and even shampoo and body wash. We were lucky to find this site! We needed a last minute camping site for our family reunion at the state park and crossed our fingers that we would get a good one. Craig was a great host, gave us a tour of the property when we arrived, and even swapped us to a better site for our tents last minute. The bathroom and shower were clean and functional and the property is wooded and hilly and picturesque. There is definitely some highway noise early in the evening (being pretty close to 71 we weren’t surprised), but it quieted down as it got later and we could hear owls and coyotes and other wildlife. We would definitely book again.

My friends and I had such a great time camping here! The view of the river was beautiful, we could birdwatch from our campsite (barred owl, red shouldered hawk, king fisher, great egret, red-bellied woodpecker), the bathroom, dish washing, and shower facilities were extremely well stocked and clean, we were given free recently felled wood to burn, we loved getting cozy by the large fire pit - it had foot rests and a surface for resting our stuff!
Bridget was the most attentive and sweet host; she checked on us before we arrived, she immediately answered my questions about a fire ban, she visited after we got settled, she brought us a can opener when we forgot one, she checked on us when she was worried our neighbors might be too noisy (they weren’t).
The only thing we didn’t love was how many ants were on the ground, but that 1. Comes with the territory of living in Texas and 2. Is a hard thing for any landowner to fix. Just make sure you wear socks and bug spray to prevent any bites!
My friends and I agree that we found a new spot to add to our regular camping rotation, and we can’t wait to come back :-)

Weekend Trip to The Reserve at GreenLeaf
We had such a wonderful time. Our hosts greeted us for a short intro to the place which was nice. I got some pointers on how to use a French Coffee press (you'll see) and we got the lay of the land. There are walking trails, a community fire pit (there are only 4 yurts), a pavilion with Corn Hole type games and a hot tub (didn't try it out). It was extremely peaceful and calm. A great place to forget about things for a couple of days. Also, Bastrop has a nice downtown area. We ate at Neighbors (?) downtown and enjoyed sitting on the patio by the river.

We had a great time! Lots of space at Coyote Corner for a large group and Skull Tree is a pretty cool more intimate spot with a lot of shade. There was a nice peaceful spot to sit overlooking the creek. Outhouse was solid and had a solid toilet to sit on, very clean. It was nice seeing the cows up close and our dogs had a blast out there. Alana was a five star host and went above and beyond to take care of our needs. We look forward to booking there again soon.
