Close to the town of Gonzales, there is plenty of history to see in this neat little town. Gonzales, Tx is where the first shot during the Mexican war was fire that today has branded there own flag of a cannon with the saying "Come and Take It". The property has grasslands on a slight hill just enough to give an amazing view of the surrounding landscape. We are currently building our property up living off of the grid in our 5th wheel. We will be building a 5 acre fruit and vegetable farm with plenty of activities to do. If you like bees, or would like to learn a little about them, we have our own hives here where we are currently raising about 40,000 of them. Questions about growing, we can see if we can answer them. The property is easy access right off the hwy and only a few miles to town where activities range from hiking, swimming, golfing, history exploring, kayaking and many more activities. We are within a couple hours to the coast, Austin, Texas, San Antonio, and a little farther to Houston.Learn more about this land:Open land on 5 acres. Parking is on grass with a fire pit, washers for entertainment, and a larger pit. Close proximity to the famous town of Gonzales, Texas with plenty to do including fishing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, museums and so much more. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)! Guests are required to communicate estimated time of arrival well in advance. When arriving, make sure to meet Aaron or a designate at the red gate before entering further into the property. If tent camping, please do not bring glass containers, also you must pack out all garbage and waste. Inquire ahead of time to see if firewood is available to be gathered on site, or if you will need to bring your own. No uninvited guests without 24 hour prior approval, and additional guest fees paid. Also please no more than one dog per site.
