Weekend Trip to Ranch 3232

Very well maintained and friendly atmosphere. The communal area came in clutch. Coffee in the morning gives you a brief chance to be social with other campers. The primitive sites are very secluded with the cedar trees surrounding them. Site H is by far the best. Your back is to to a fence and there is a trail connecting to the next site over for a bigger group. Road to the sites is a little rough but it adds to the experience. Overall it’s a great place and definitely worth a return visit.

Weekend Trip to Orrasis Ranch

I LOVED the Bait House! It was just the right size for a getaway with myself and my dog. I think 2 adults max would be comfortable here. It had everything I needed and more. The outdoor shower was a delightful experience. The only downside for me was they have chickens and roosters on the property and I was awoken by the cock-a-doodle-do before dawn every morning. The house was is located near a few parks so we were able to enjoy hiking within 10 minutes from the property. Downtown Marble Falls is also about 10 min away if you want local dining experiences, which I did grab takeout from 2 different restaurants while I was there. Overall it was a nice little getaway and great location!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION Right by the lake! Sand tennis court, huge swimming pool, multiple cooking standing pits, clean showers and restrooms. Bring your kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and bikes. Along with everything you use for camping. Strict about keeping our fur babies on a leach. Be careful with deer the last 2-3 miles before arriving.

Such a wonderful accommodating camping experience! We set up tents and had a perfect walking distance from bathrooms and the community “armadillo shack” that was stocked with cooking tools, gas, charcoal and even freshly made coffee! Loved exploring the property and was an easy/ quick drive to the park. We will definitely go again.

Love everything about this place. We got a fire pit, a grill, and a picnic table right behind the tent, and the way they place it makes it feel exclusive. The communal bathhouse is 50ft away, which was nice. Jeff, the groundskeeper, was very responsive and helpful! We appreciate him a lot! There are still rooms for improvement but since they’re working on renovating the whole camp, we would definitely come back to check it out again.

This is a very cool glamping destination! My family of 5 + 2 dogs loved staying out at Stacie & Jeremy’s location. The river access is within the gated neighborhood and we went there 4 times to play. Took advantage of the proximity to Colorado Bend St Park too. Very responsive owner though we didn’t have any issues. We’ve done a lot of camping and glamping over the years, this one ranks near the top.

We absolutely loved staying in the Lotus Tent, great option for far more affordable accommodation yet still very close to Austin city. The tent itself is well set up and comfortable, and the showers are great. Very peaceful especially with the Lotus tent tucked away at the back of the property. Highly recommend for anyone looking for cheap and peaceful accommodation within a short drive of Austin.

Just the perfect distance to explore the city of Austin in one direction (25 minutes), and Dripping Springs (15 minutes) or even Pedernales Park (40 minutes) in the other. Host was responsive, friendly and helpful. Spots where quiet. Property was well kept.

Michaela's campsite was very well equipped and maintained. The yurts were clean, had amenities such as space heaters and ACs, and extra blankets. We loved using the jacuzzi! She let us feed the baby goats, which was a wonderful perk. We'd definitely come back.

Awesome spot to stay for a few nights! So beautiful, quiet, and comfy in the tent. Bathrooms were clean as well as kitchen, and the site was maintained so well. We loved getting to chat with Ken and Jennifer, and loved walking our dog throughout the grounds. She loved the wide open spaces. Would totally return here if we ever come back to Austin! Thank you for everything!

The property was excellent for those that want to primitive camp but need some comforts of home. Due to the fire ban we were unable to cook at the campsite but the camp kitchen firepit allowed me to use the Dutch oven for making stew with the swing away grill made additional cooking easy. I highly recommend this site!

2 nights at Glat Austin at Lake Bastrop North Shore Park

The tent was in a perfect location with a beautiful view. The grounds have many areas for kids to play and lounging with shared tables, a rope hammock/bed and a dock to fish off of. The tent itself was comfortable and was equipped with much of what we needed. FRANCE had basic cooking utensils (bring tongs and a cutting board if needed) and comfortable bedding. Our kids were with us and on the reservation but extra linens weren't available for the couch or cot that was provided. We had extra so it wasn't a problem but just something to be aware of. The bathrooms were similar to those on the Southside. One room stalls with toilet, sink and then shower. Quick well lit walk from the tents. We stayed on the north side of the park and did all the loops and most of the hike to the south side. Very flat and kid friendly with lots of shade.

There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Three tents are large (Grand), and one is small (Mini). The 3 Grand tents are nearly identical, with slightly varying decor. The main difference is in the tents’ locations on our property and corresponding view. - The Grand Aztec: Provides the most open view of the lake and hill country. Located central on the property near the main fire pit and common areas. - The Grand Arrow: Also has a lake view, but with more trees, less open than the Grand Aztec. Located closer to the entrance of our property, farther from the common areas. Adirondack chairs and a hammock area is just out back (lakeside). - The Grand Tesoro: Private hill country view across the properties ravine. Located closest to the bathhouse, very central on our property. Also near the common areas. A private chiminea fire area under a grove of trees is nearby. The price for Grand tents is based on double or triple occupancy. A fourth guest is welcome for an additional fee ($50/nt), which you’ll see at booking. The Mini Aztec: Located between the Grand Aztec and Grand Arrow tents, with a private view of the lake and hills, and a private chiminea area. For younger children (age 8+) who want to sleep in the mini tent, we recommend the Grand Arrow for the parents because the mini is within view of the Grand Arrow porch. The Grand Tents have a maximum occupancy of 3 guests. We may allow for a fourth guest upon request for an additional fee ($50/nt). Guest access You'll have access to the entire 15 acres, including some walking/hiking trails. You cannot enter other guests' tents (without invitation, of course).

We do ask that you keep your pets off of the couch and the bed and clean up any “restroom breaks” outside.
