We loved camping on Sherwood’s land at Burgers Lake! We wanted something affordable near Dallas/Fort Worth, and this popped up. It felt like an abandoned waterpark all to ourselves- but it will be open soon- which would be even more fun! Plenty of wide open space and privacy. All the amenities are easily accessible. It’s definitely worth staying and we’ll be back if we’re in the area!

Great place to relax, the views are incredible. It’s a huge plus to have access to a shower and electricity. We went hiking and explored the property. We even got to go fishing. 100% recommended!

Our stay at bee mountain resort was amazing!! The camping area are very spacious, gives you PLENTY of room if 3 or more tents are being put up. We were right off the bank shore making it easy to put kayaks into the water. Finally the bathroom are clean and kept up. Lots of trails to hike as well. Melanie and Tony are very helpful and keep EVERYONE update when bathroom are being traded out or just checking if campers need anything, definitely recommend and will be coming back to here

3 nights at Bee Mountain River Resort

Had an amazing time. Crew taking care of restrooms and running the wood/ice requests were timely and accepted Zelle at the reception area at the front of the property. Kayak rentals were fun and they double as a paddle board.

5 nights at Burgers Lake Camping

I had a great experience at Burgers lake! It’s a super great location in Fort Worth, while “feeling” away from the hustle and bustle in a serene environment. The camping areas are covered in grass, so there isn’t dirt and mud. A excellent spot to clean out your RV/van. There are big trees, a basketball hoop, and swings. And, charcoal grills at your camp site. There is a small waterpark the grounds are near, that is closed until end of May. The host is super nice and chill! And, my spot was super private with no one around. A truly peaceful place!

We loved staying at Friends in RV Spaces. It was in the country, on a beautiful piece of property. The hosts, Sarah and Sam, were very friendly. They made sure we had all the needed information about staying on their property, and asked us if we had any questions about the area. We will definitely stay there again if we come to the Fort Worth area.

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

Therefore, the pictures of our beautiful pond do not portray the actual visual of what you will see. We are in the process of working with engineers to repair the spillway. You will still enjoy the beautiful sunsets, serene environment and we have three other ponds suitable for fishing. We offer two full camper hookups and several tent camping options. We have a permanent toilet and sink on-site. We are a full time working farm. We have beef cattle, sheep, horses, goats and chickens. For an additional cost, we offer farm tours and we are willing to cook for our guests. There are several wineries and breweries nearby. It has various trees on property with cedar, live oak, post oak, etc. Campsites are in front of a wide waterfall which is about 5 feet in height. You can fall asleep with the sound of the waterfalls! We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. Granbury is 25 minutes away with lots of shopping and restaurants around their historic town square. Glen Rose also has a town square.

Walking through the park and the square is just magical at Christmastime. Easy Like a Sunday Morning is nestled just outside the city limits of Granbury, Texas (approximately 3 miles from Granbury Historic square) @ a private residence just outside the city limits. New laundry facility down the road, dump station @ Thorp Springs RV park (20 dollars), Davids Grocery store and Dollar General, all only .03 miles away. This is not really a vacation destination but more a safe place to stay coming to town to explore all Granbury has to offer or a place to catch your breathe while traveling on the road. Friends have enjoyed escaping here for years. I decided to share the zen. It's a bit rough around the edges but if the new venture succeeds it will only get better each time you visit. Patio with a view of Lake Granbury and surrounding valley of at least 3 counties. Communal: Bonfire area when there isn't a burn ban (bring your chair). Also small fire pit on patio. Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.
