Wildlife viewing is exceptional, with a wide range of animals typical of the rolling hills of Central Texas Hillcountry. The property has patches of open meadows speckled with hundreds of large, beautiful heritage trees including Live Oaks, Red Oaks, Cedar Elms, and Pecans. There are two small ponds on the property, with plenty of frogs and typical aquatic species providing a natural soundscape at night. Feel free to explore the site on foot or vehicles, but please keep vehicles only on existing dirt roads (no off-roading allowed). Feel free to use the RV hookup at the green metal building, and enjoy the stunning sunset views of the Texas Hillcountry from the elevated wooden deck connected to the building. The large propane grill (propane provided) on the wooden deck is also available for camper use. Campers can make a campfire in the designated fire pit only, and you must bring your own firewood. Campers may use the outdoor shower station, but you must bring your own water and mobile shower bag to hang from the hook at the top of the shower station.

Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away.

This was an awesome campsite for 1-3 days camping.
We accidentally stayed at River Rock instead of Brookside. But we absolutely loved it. Family of 5 and a dog - nearest camp was 150 yards away and empty. The creek was great - you could swim and fish. Lots of wildlife - deer, beaver, armadillo, birds... This is a perfect site for a 1-3 day getaway.

Very unique spot. We had a wonderful time exploring and learning the local history provided by Johnnie. We had the place to ourselves and view of the stars was spectacular. It is primitive, but the directions and information provided was very detailed and helpful. The glimpse into the past and staying right in the middle of it was fun. The wooden block table was helpful for using a camp stove and identifying the tent sites.

We really enjoyed camping out on Kegan’s property. It’s really nice with incredible views from the bridge. They have a couple different cottages on site that you stay in if you wanted to. Land was while maintained and would definitely come back in the future.

Caretaker of property is available for anything but keeps to himself. His awesome dog Thor feels like a safe watchdog.
There is community property near so you may encounter that.
The history, structures and ability to explore them are really something to experience.
The property is covered with old oak trees that are unique on a whole other level.

staying at a crowded state park the night before, Regency Bridge Park was exactly what I needed when I needed it. Peaceful, spacious, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. Waking up by the river with fresh air was the perfect reset after a travel day.
The park has such a simple, authentic Texas charm to it — no frills, just beautiful scenery, room to breathe, and a sense of calm that’s hard to find. It felt safe, welcoming, and dog-friendly, which made it even better for our RV stopover.
If you’re looking for a peaceful overnight RV stay away from packed campgrounds and constant noise, this place is a hidden gem. I’m genuinely thankful places like this still exist.

Great tent campsite right on the riverbank—very private and peaceful. The host, Ted, is wonderful and really goes above and beyond. There are a lot of positives here, like free use of kayaks and canoes and even a late checkout if the site isn’t booked.
I love to camp and fish, and this place delivered on both. We caught crappie, catfish, perch, even a gaspergou—and a turtle. Being able to gather firewood and enjoy a fire by the river made the experience even better. My son and I had an awesome time and will definitely be coming back.
