Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Beautiful sky and wide open spaces on over 400 acres, deep in the heart of Texas. This treasured piece of land was once home to many Indian tribes, with multiple archeological sites for artifact and arrowhead hunting. This special place has been in our family for almost 100 years and in wildlife management for the past 20 years. The land is pristine and full of wild critters, including mountain lions and rattlesnakes! There is a 3 acre pond with a surrounding area maintained as a "private park" for primitive camping. There is a paddleboat with swimming and fishing available (catch and release). No open fires. Pets are welcome. Over 3 miles of maintained trails for hiking or golf carting. Shower house and laundry facility available for extra use fee (text host if need). Pick your space in this special place! Free your heart and mind, all troubles will be erased! And please- "leave no trace" :) Just breathe that fresh country air!

Camp Site # 1- First right off loop. Nice shady area with lots of oak trees offering 1/2 acre of privacy from neighbors. Leave no trace! Bury poo and take trash with you when you leave. No open fires; you may use dead wood surrounding camp site for contained fire. Never leave fire unattended! Stay in mowed grassy areas to protect natural vegetation. Watch out for rattlesnakes and fire ants!
