What a great spot! We have fallen in love with this place! Great spot to relax and unwind! We always have poles in the water! Ted is a great guy and we absolutely love this place!

What an incredible getaway at this small RV site on Jim Ned Creek near Brownwood Lake! The serene riverside location offers a perfect blend of peace and adventure. The spacious RV sites amp made setting up a breeze, and the stunning views of the creek was really cool. We enjoyed fishing right from the shore and even took a complimentary canoe (there are a few to choose from, including kayaks) to the creek. It's an ideal spot for a holiday family retreat or a quiet escape with friends. The clean, well-maintained facilities and friendly owner added to the overall experience. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!

Stopped in on a Monday night. a trip from NM to Austin. 30 ft truck camper. I was looking for somewhere off the major highways and that’s what i found. I travel with 100 pound golden retriever and she approved of the river and acre of grass. Nice host, lovely site. I will go back.

We enjoyed our stay. We sat out by the water and fished. We listened to the frogs and watched the stars in the sky. It was very peaceful. We would recommend staying here.

Had a great time tent camping in this very peaceful and secluded spot. There was plenty of room and it was right off the river. Ted was a great host. Definitely hope to be back again soon.

Riverside campsite
We had an absolute blast! The site is very secluded and has alot of trees. Right off the river, perfect for fishing. We used the canoe, but they also have paddle boats and kayaks. Ted, the host, was accommodating, friendly, and gracious. Pet friendly and plenty of space. Fire pit was included. We will be staying again!

Riverside campsite
An absolute escape from the world. The spot right off the river is amazing and isolated. You can fish right off the Riverside. They had kayaks a canoe and paddle boats for the visitors and are very pet friendly.. I made a mistake with my booking, and the host was very pleasant and worked with me on the details. I will be staying again.

This is by far our favorite Hipcamp site that we have visited. The host Ted met us and showed us around. What a great host. He is truly a very nice man. The river is beautiful. There are so many different birds and bird sounds. The river is a 20 second walk right behind every RV site. They are only three available sites . This place is very romantic for couples. I would say it’s wonderful for families with children and pets. We did not have children with us, but our dog loved it here. It’s very peaceful and quiet but at the same time full of nature sounds. Without any hesitation I highly recommend this place. They have a nice system where people leave extra bait in a freezer for future guests.

This place is like a little paradise got a river winding around it and go fishing. We were camped down in a meadow quiet as can be stocked with firewood nicest people you ever met. Cannot wait to get back.

This is my 2nd time coming to this awesome Campsite! I brought my fiancé this time and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend camping trip. If you’re looking for a place where you can drive up to your spot, drop your tailgate. Set up camp, have a fire, and fish. This is the spot. All the privacy in the world you could ask for. Ted’s plot of land is truly a slice of heaven. We even kayaked up into lake brownwood where caught a wicked sunburn and some white bass. Highly recommend this place if you and the boys or you and the wife want to get away.

Place is awesome, lots of wild life, creek is very pretty, grounds are very nice and can barefoot almost all of it. Fishing is good in the creek very close to state park and lake. Sky was very dark with great view of the stars. get to use kayaks or canoes but definitely will next time. Also all the owls were a “hoot” lol.

If you and the boys want to get away for a weekend and be tucked away in the woods next to a river. This is the spot. Ted was awesome, let us use the pit and set up camp in the back. We did some fishing, had a fire, and listens to some good country music and roasted some turkey legs. Great weekend, great spot, Ted really does have a slice of heaven carved out for him. We also got to let the dogs run free and have the time of their lives. Ted’s spot is amazing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for privacy.

Ted has a fantastic set up. Nice level sites with full hookups. There is a pad with chairs, a grill and a fire pit down by the water. We had our 3 dogs with us and they loved Ted's land. They were able to run around and play down at the end of the property which was much needed after being in the RV on the road for a few days. We really enjoyed out stay and would stay again if we are in the area. Thank you Ted!
