Mountainous RV camping near Boerne

We have been to many glamping sites in TX but I have not seen such a beautiful site with a high elevation view. The host made it extra special sending us a small gift to celebrate our anniversary.. A beautiful night under the stars that you won't forget!

Very peaceful and the perfect escape I needed to get away from the city. Would definitely be back again.

We had a full group out this weekend and this spot did not disappoint! The views throughout the property were amazing and the drive in was a site to behold. Fritz and Ken were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The property is beautiful. Looking forward to taking my wife out later this year.

Fantastic camping on some of the most beautiful land in Texas - this place seriously rivals all Texas state parks. Beautiful topography combined with natural springs and diverse wildlife make this ranch a must see. We saw quail, turkey, whitetail, red stag (including an albino), javelina, horned frog, bass, sunfish, etc. The landowner and his assistant were extremely helpful when it came to booking the reservations, driving directions and navigating the property. Also, there are no cattle on the property, which is nice when it comes to walking around (no landmines to avoid).

Beautiful, quiet site with the starriest nights! Our dog loved it as much as we did.

My buddy and I decided to test out our new calling set ups at LAF. It was a decent drive but worth it. The owner is very nice and informative. The description was accurate, you cannot beat the views from the ridge. We spent time checking out each campsite, each offer a cool and unique experience. Best part besides the views, no cell service. Unplug from everyday life and enjoy nature.

Super private site, responsive hosts and Blanco only 5m away, perfect!

Had a wonderful time at this campsite. Property is beautiful and the host was nice and accommodating. Will come back for sure.

2 nights at Whispering Oak Ranch

This cabin is perfect, tucked among tall trees, completely peaceful, and beautifully secluded. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and feel truly away from it all. Can’t wait to come back!

Great little spot not far from the highway and Johnson City. It was nice to be so close to town to grab supplies and/or pop into a restaurant.

Beautiful property to explore with endless hills and water holes. Our family (kids & dog) loved every minute of it and we especially liked the lack of cell service so we could truly disconnect! We hope to be back soon.

One of the best experiences I had, the night stars, the spaces... The place is huuge. The directions to get there are kinda tricky, you just need to trust and keep going forward. Went with wife, daughter and two dogs. Totally amazing

We loved staying at Frit's Ranch! We thought his land was beautiful and even getting to it the scenery was amazing. If you want a place thats quiet and secluded then don't think twice about reserving a spot here! Very beautiful and well kept.

We are conveniently located in Blanco, Texas less that 50 miles from either San Antonio or Austin and in the heart of the Texas wine country. Our campsites are next to a spring feed tributary creek which flows year around feeding into the Blanco River just a few miles away or hillside with amazing views of the river valley. You will enjoy the babbling creek, miles of hiking and biking trails, cooling off in the creek, scenic hilltop views, solitude, bold sunrises and sunsets, and a brilliant night sky. We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park.

1100 acres of gorgeous natural land at the headwaters of the Medina River. Crystal clear and clean spring feed water. Fourth-generation family owners. Remote camping. Very private with plenty of varied terrain for hiking swimming, tubing, biking or just hanging out in a hammock enjoying the breeze and peace and quiet. About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING Free firewood for use during your stay and can make a good deal if you want to take some home! As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2. Whispering Oak Ranch

Ten-plus acres with trails and backing up to a working farm. Easy access to the Texas Wine Trail, with lots of great restaurants in Johnson City. Only 5 miles from Pedernales State Park (water seen in photos), enjoy undisturbed, beautiful hill country scenery and amazing sunsets. It's only a five-minute drive to Johnson City and about a 30-minute to Fredericksburg. Drive right up to your campsite—lots of live oak trees to choose from for shade. We have lots of Adirondacks to sit in throughout the property as well as a propane fire pit with Adirondacks that you can sit in for a fire pit experience. It is very dark at night and the stars are amazing.
