The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections. Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.***** Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court. River Forest Haven is a unique space that seeks to bring you closer to nature. We do not artificially light the camp and we strive to leave as much of the property in its natural state as we can. This provides a unique experience that is not your typical campground as we keep all of our campsites tucked under lush natural canopies. Car and tent camping works great! For most sites, you can easily drive up to your spot. Arrive, take a look around and settle into your site. We are always happy to deliver any of our items from our general store- just message us on HipCamp and we will come by. With nearly half a mile of Colorado riverfront to swim, fish, toob, paddle-board, kayak, and canoe*, along with 30 acres to hike and explore, River Forest Haven is also a quick 20-minute drive from downtown Austin.THINGS OF NOTE: ⁃ cell phone service is mostly non-existent ⁃ firewood can be brought or bought, but not collected.

I kinda really don’t even want to leave a review because I don’t want the secret getting out. But this camp site is just amazing if you know what you’re getting into! It’s rustic, bring your own table and water rustic. But for that “downside” you get so many upsides. The quiet, ooooh the quiet. The stars and the quiet make you forget you’re only 30 minutes from home. The hosts are amazing, friendly, and on top of everything on the facility. As an example, there was a shortage of tp in one of the bathrooms, no big deal, I keep tp in the truck for this reason. But next time I went in (next morning) it was stocked! It’s the little things in that really and truly make this place incredible.

We had a great time here! Sites were large enough to accommodate 2 vehicles and a tent, plus 3 dogs. Bathrooms at the front were clean, plus a hose nearby for non potable water. We had fire wood delivered to our site a couple of times and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Amy’s ranch was exactly what I needed to rest and recharge. My dog and I came out together and had a wonderful time at Tent Site C. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept, the community kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need. I forgot to pack a coffee cup and was able to use one in the kitchen! The site itself was perfect. Very well kept and accessible. My camping neighbors were quiet and the goats on the land were a fun surprise. The weather was perfect and the sky views in the morning and at night were so stunning. I really have no critiques, and will definitely be staying at the campgrounds again.

The camp is very clean and has multiple options for campers from tenting, RVing. We stayed at river #17 campground. The campground managers were VERY communicative throughout our stay. If we needed wood or an inner tube they were happy to let us know the process and arrived to provide what was needed quickly. The showers were a welcome added benefit of the campground. We had a small issue with an unwelcome guess and with one quick message to the campground they took care of it. I look forward to enjoying more moments at this campground in the future!

We enjoyed the quietness and the ability to see the stars at night. This a great spot for those looking to enjoy their wine tasing experience as this is in the heart of all the wineries. Bonus point for the less than a mile proximity to Garrison Brothers. Take note that the water hookup is about 10- 15 yards behind the spot towards the right side. Luckily we had two hoses to connect.

We only stayed 1 night but the site were large, clean, easy to back in. Make sure to have an adapter to 50amps, all sites are 50 amp. The chairs and firepit are very nice. There was no bath house so come prepared. An added bonus was the Twisted X brewery was a walk away.
