The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping. There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek. There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area. Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! For site number 3 (the one my wife and I stayed at) it was an easy back in to get our 45 toy hauler into the site. Sites 1 and 2 may have presented a challenge for our size rig but they are very spacious. All of the sites that is. Entry and exit of the park was easy and straight forward. We loved the close proximity to family in the area especially for our Thanksgiving stay. There was one limb that was touching the back corner of our roof and with a simple call to William, the issue was resolved quickly with a quick cut from his pole saw. We definitely plan to return to Deer Valley RV in the future. Thank you William!

Another great trip to the Cove! For anyone who comes right after us, we set up your first fire logs in the firepit. We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.

I cannot recommend this campsite enough. The sound of the creek flowing right beside the site was beautiful and made the entire stay feel calm and peaceful. The campsite itself was spacious, giving my dogs plenty of room to roam off leash while still letting me keep a close eye on them. I also loved having the island trail just a few steps away for easy exploring. It was everything I needed for a simple, stress-free camping trip that still felt secluded and quiet. Perfect in every way. I hope to visit again soon!

The Islandsite is probably one of, if not the most unique and beautiful campsites I’ve stayed at. Brian communicated everything we needed to know ahead of our arrival. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend bringing everything you plan on needing before arriving as the road into town is quite lengthy.

This is a fabulous camping spot. The host is friendly and cordial. The location is convenient to necessities, i.e. Walmart, Lowes, Planet Fitness, etc. It's a working farm, so don't expect a quiet setting. While it is serene, there's lots of animals and the noises they make. It's awesome!

The location is convienent, well kept and pretty private. The port-o-john was immaculate!! Seriously, the creek was lovely, the site (#10) was perfect for us but I was most impressed with the port-a-potty. Someone takes really good care to keep it clean which is most appreciated for those of us who don't have bathrooms in our campers.

My family had a great time at campsite 11!!!!! Very private creek along the site!!!!!! Huge area to pitch the tent and fire pit and just great family time!!!!!! Lots of firewood to purchase and the cleanest porta potty I have even seen lol
