Solid base camp but not private
Overall, we had a nice time at the site and the amenities were exactly as described, very convenient. Having water, power, and the Porta potty toilet made camping very simple. The toilet was very clean, but understandably got a little stinky in the June heat.
Unfortunately, the four sites are VERY close to each other. We stayed at site one “The View,” and site two was just a few feet away. Think more of a parking lot row more for RVs. Thankfully it was vacant, but if somebody had been camping there, we probably would not have stayed. The other two sites are permanently occupied by two RVs, one of which seems to be using it as a residence. They were very quiet and good neighbors, but we just didn’t feel like we had any privacy or space.
If you’re just looking for somewhere to crash after a long day on the river, then this is a great spot. Fully equipped and really convenient to the river and nearby hikes. If you’re more like us and looking for a private campsite that you just want to sit and relax in your own space and do some nice camping, then this may not be the right option for you.
