The space
My vision is that my property (which I've named "Kingdom Come") would be a place of rest, retreat, and enjoyment for others. I am going to build a few cabins for lodging, but my first major project was building a chapel, so that it would be the centerpiece and heartbeat: a place for reflection, meditation, and prayer.
I built the chapel myself (with my own hands, and the hands of a couple of friends). As I work on building the cabins, I have decided to use the chapel as a glamping site (better than using it as a "divine" storage building!).
My mother was an artist and when she died I ended up with a lot of her artwork. Some of her paintings now fill the chapel. They also fill the space, I hope, with her grace and love and creativity.
The chapel features beautiful timber frame construction. As to "glamping" . . . there is no running water/plumbing, but you'll have all the fresh water you need for showers, drinking, etc. Limited electricity for running the kitchen appliances.
No AC, of course, but the fan will keep it comfortable in warm weather. As to cold weather, the chapel has an electric heater that keeps it fairly comfortable in cold weather: not blazing hot, but comfortable, unless it gets VERY cold; then, the heater just takes off some of the chill.
Zinus Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 6 Inch mattresses are very comfortable! Using the outdoor solar/camp shower is wonderful. The privy is clean and well-ventilated.
Appliances: fan; toaster oven; microwave oven; coffee maker; and, small micro-fridge.
Lighting is provided by four rechargeable lanterns. Screens on the windows and door to keep the bugs at bay.
Outdoor deck features comfortable Adirondack chairs, a Weber charcoal grill, and a fire pit for campfires. I'll provide you with wood (on a donation basis . . . pay what you like) campfires. Matches and paper provided, too, to help get the fire started.
The play area offers opportunities limited only by your imagination. Sunbathing? Stargazing? Badminton and Bocce balls provided if you want to play!

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds
less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River.
Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time.
Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at
the website TVA.gov.
The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily.
This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more!

We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin.
When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there.

My late husband and myself bought the property in 1983 and it was all just overgrown land!We worked, cleared, built horse shelters/barns, cabins, cut trails, built the outdoor chapel for our wedding and of course fenced it all in for the horses! Started sharing with guests in 1993, so we have met so many amazing folks from all over the world! Pass thru our gate into another world and leave all your worries and tensions behind. We are all about getting back to what is real -- nature, animals/horses and each other. Complete privacy!There are many mountain trails leaving right from our property! Lots to explore. You can even hike to the outdoor chapel with the pretty view of the Chilhowee Mountain range. It is a short hike to the barn area for those who want to spend time rubbing the pot belly pigs' tummy, walk the mini horses, groom the love bug~Junebug (donkey), pet horses, cuddle with bunnies and feed chickens! Every morning and night we set a time for all those who want to become involved with the care/feeding of petting animals and horses!

This site was amazing!! Included everything you would need for glamping including an outhouse, shower, drinking water, a kitchen, hammocks, WiFi, motion sensing lights, tiki torches, etc. Exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Your Toccoa River Cove!
As long as you know you are primitive camping (with an outhouse but no where to shower) then this is a great spot! On the deck there were various items including a couple chairs and a table. There were other items but I didn’t look through enough to remember what all was there. There was also a camp grill and a picnic table. The neighbors have dogs that barked a couple times but they were no bother to me. I did hear something rummaging outside my tent in the dark morning hours, I think it was a fox.
But if you’re good with primitive nature, stay here! Not a far drive to local hiking trails and morganton rec area. Thank you to the host for thorough directions!

Candy Cabin, and the others too, have so much detail put into them. They are extremely well built lodgings. it is more than glamping to stay in one of these. Highly recommend staying at the Enchanted Forest.

We were greeted on arrival, shown to our parking and given the lay of the land with great courtesy. Our family of four slept peacefully in the big tent, no pest intrusions or temperature issues. Our 5 year old loved the space as a giant playground, hopping across circled stumps and discovering the swings as she explored. My wife loved the unpretentious tone and how well equipped the outdoor kitchen is. The highlight for us was our dog’s experience. He immediately became best friends with the homestead dogs and had the absolute time of his life during our short stay.

Twin Valley Horse Ranch and Bed & Breakfast is such a delightful place! This is our second visit, and we truly appreciate how Janice has created a warm and welcoming environment that is also dog-friendly. Finding spots that welcome us and our furry friends can be tough, so we’re grateful for this special place. Luke’s Cabin is cozy and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. We also love that here, you can disconnect and enjoy the tranquility without Wi-Fi. It’s a perfect home base for exploring the beautiful Smokey Mountains and nearby attractions, especially Dollywood, which is just about a 30-minute drive away. Whether you want to fill your days with adventures or simply relax by the lake or fire pit and spend time with the animals, there’s plenty to enjoy. We recommend all of Janice’s wonderful facilities, but our personal favorite is Luke’s Cabin.

I had such a wonderful stay at Salty Pines! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome. They helped carry our things from the car. Tiki gave us a fun ride on the 4x4, and even took the time to play with my son, which meant so much to him.
The yurt was adorable, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed gave me the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had while sleeping "outside". My son absolutely loved playing with the hammock, and we both enjoyed spending time around the fire pit. I really like the picnic bar table. It was such a nice touch and made meals outside even more enjoyable.
You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into creating this place. We made some wonderful memories here, and I'll definitely be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay here! The wooded area in summer provided enough privacy from nearby neighbors. The shelter was a great amenity to set up our entire camp and the Project Chimps hiking trails nearby were great!

My family and I loved our stay here! The RV rental was very clean and had everything we needed. (The bathroom was exceptionally clean!)
The primitive camping looked perfect as well. It’s not rough flat camping pads, but actual grass to set up your tent. And the creek that runs through the property is perfect for those of us with little ones. We will definitely come back with friends for a longer stay!

My crew had a great evening at Salty Pines. Got up early the next day to go whitewater rafting (camp is 20 min. from the Ocoee). Next visit I plan to stay for the whole weekend! Exceptional amenities for being so far out in the woods.

Tighe was a great host, the yurt was nice and honey and the bed was great. I went and hiked to a waterfall and slipped and fell hard and when I got back Tighe got me a camping chair to sit in, a first aid kit, and dry socks. I'll definitely return. They're building something special there and it's a beautiful place. Take the back roads and drive through the Cherokee National Forest, it's great!

My buddy and I had a great weekend getaway to relax at the Woodsman Cabin at Starr Mountain Retreat on 23 acres in the Cherokee National Forest near Reliance, Tennessee. This place is the real deal. It is quiet, private, and surrounded by woods with that perfect peaceful vibe.
The cabin is spotless, well laid out, and seriously comfortable. The queen bed in the main bedroom and the twin beds up in the loft were both very comfortable. They have literally thought of everything. There is a full kitchen, gas fireplace, grill, and all the little details that make it easy. You could literally show up with just a suitcase and feel like you’re checking into a hotel room. No scrambling for basics.
They even had an abundance of dry firewood ready, and they thought of the little things like dry kindling in a bucket ready for use. The fire pit served us well for some great evenings chilling out.
The owners were responsive, and it really shows in how well the place is set up. We felt that the advertisements for this location actually undersell just how excellent it is. This is a first-class spot in the woods. Already talking about coming back. Highly recommend it for any guys looking for a solid relaxing getaway. Thanks Nola and Brian! 🙌
