My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Lifejackets are not required, please swim and float at your own risk.
Fishing is permitted; however, proper licensure is required. For the safety of all guests, fishing is not allowed in the beachfront area where guests swim and walk. Please walk upstream or downstream before casting.

This hidden paradise has a waterfall that used to have a mill on it in the early 1900's. There are cliffs on each side of the creek making it the perfect spot for serene relaxation. Following upstream is an assortment of spots to pitch a tent. *I am in the process of making multiple sites but until I do so it is first come first serve. There are multiple sites at main campsite and along creek, I've had a private event of thirty people staying at once. There are also smaller spots next to waterfall, uphill near cliff and I've had people go below falls for some complete wilderness (blocked by gorge and waterfall). With this being said, I do offer private bookings and accommodate special events!
*I travel for work, so I won't always be here, but I will send directions and details after confirmation and make sure all is savvy during. Please be respectful to one and another and let me know asap if any issues arise but truthfully everyone has been amazing and I thoroughly enjoy meeting and getting to know everyone!

I love this place! Beautiful natural surroundings and very private. I was lucky to have it all to myself because the other campers had left that (Sun)day. Falling asleep watching the fireflies, listening to the bullfrogs and a couple of owls answering each other's calls.
Directions were clear and when I arrived, Melissa was there to greet me and bring me to my site. Because I was the only camper that night she told me I could set up wherever I wanted. As they walked their dogs around the lake and on the trail that evening, they came to check on me.
I felt super safe, knowing that they were living right next to the campground and felt comfortable contacting them anytime, if needed.

Patrick and Angelica were kind and caring hosts. The campsites were shaded, well spaced out and nicely maintained. Bath/shower was very clean. Patrick pointed us to a nearby small but very cool waterfall. And he invited our two granddaughters to gather chicken eggs with him. A very family centric operation. Very much enjoyed it.

Very peaceful in the tree canopy! Well shaded spot stayed comfortable on a hot day with surprisingly few bugs. Well maintained bathrooms. The kids loved listening for owls, catching fireflies, gathering the chicken eggs, and rock hopping at the waterfall down the road. We unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy the river as it was very high with significant debris, but it sounds like that is far from the norm.

Hilltop Ridge was the perfect site to disconnect and relax. Quiet and private with stunning views and stargazing. Our pups even relaxed. Definite must if your looking for an off the beaten path place to camp. The location has a fully stocked pond for finishing and kayaking. Our hosts Melissa and Doug were fantastic and the location is still close enough to the Daniel Boone National Forest and the Big South Fork. Spent Saturday at Yahoo Falls. We're definitely planning a trip back.

We spent 3 nights at Patrick's Point last week. We had a wonderful time! The campsites are right on the Cumberland River. Beautiful shaded sites just feet away from the river. Very quiet and peaceful. We sat on rocks in the middle of the river and let the gentle current give us a massage. If we had more time we would use the shuttle service to go up river and kayak back to the camp.
Patrick and Angelica are amazing hosts! They did everything possible to make our stay very comfortable. We had many conversations and they had fantastic stories to tell. When we left it felt like we were leaving good friends/family behind.

Patrick and Angelica are amazing hosts. They were very responsive with any questions or issues that needed to be addressed. They treated me and my sons like family. My youngest is into rocks so Patrick showed him his collection and my boy took great interest. It's a remote, peaceful place that is well maintained with great care and one that I will definitely return to.

The property is peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly relaxing. We camped just upstream from the waterfall, and falling asleep to the sound of the water each night was unforgettable. The scenery is breathtaking, and it was exactly the escape we needed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Super sweet quiet spot - very convenient to everything we needed in Knoxville. Lots of wild blackberries that were ripe when we visited so the kids picked some and made some jam. Creek was teeming with crayfish and minnows so kids were entertained. Hosts were great communicators via text and portolet was kept clean over our stay.
