They restore trails, build handicap accessible access points, and provide urban youth educational opportunities in the park, to name just a few of their many projects. A dollar of each stay at Roamstead Smoky Mountains is donated back to Friends of the Smokies to help continue their mission.

The land is beautiful with areas to spend time at outside the van. My dog loved roaming around the field and seeing the horses and donkeys! She cried when we left! Also indoor bathroom option for toilet and a shower, was a major plus! The host was very responsive to our short booking window and respectful of our sometimes anxious dog, that felt welcoming to us! We look forward to stopping again next time we are driving through the area!

Beautiful property! The fall foliage was amazing, it was a relaxing weekend and I highly recommend ChrisLeigh Farms. We enjoyed the farm animals, the host was phenomenal and I even got a quick cookie decorating lesson. I hope to visit this property again soon.

I loved tent camping here with my husband. The hosts are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.
Valerie suggested a good spot for my husband and I to go visit in town and no surprise there it was an awesome visit.
It is primitive camping. I believe we camped on the grass mound and it was tent friendly. If you drive a car, be careful going down the driveway as it’s a bit bumpy but accessible.
No issues with this site or host or any of the above. Very safe, private, and comfortable.

If you're considering staying here I would say do it, without a doubt. Debbie is the kindest, most accommodating host, the farm is pristine, private, safe and beautiful and it's a close enough drive for a trip into Memphis to look around. There is a full shower and bathroom and the campsite itself is stunning. My five year old was sad to leave this place. Debbie has thought of every detail and it shows. We wish we could've stayed longer and if we're ever passing through Memphis again we'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything Debbie it was so nice to feel right at home while on the road.

It was a little difficult to find, but once we got there, it was a pretty wooded area. We had easy access for water. There were no toilet facilities, but that was easily dealt with because of the open woods areas. Valerie and her husband were welcoming, informative, and pleasant to talk to. My friend Worth and I would definitely recommend this place to people looking for an opportunity to experience nature close to the big city of Nashville.
