It is peaceful here and we enjoy sharing it with our guests during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Plenty Star Ranch Retreat has our home, a big pole barn (RV storage), a garage/wood workshop with an attached restroom for all guests, a regular hot water shower cabin, 2 small home-built camping log cabins, 7 RV sites, 9 clearly marked tent and car-camping sites, and several water hydrants fed by our well, providing great quality drinking water. 2 pets maximum per campsite, no pets allowed when booking a cabin. Check-In is 2 pm to 9 pm; Check-Out is 10 am for the cabins and 11 am for all other sites.

Tammy's place was everything we wanted - its cozy, remote but in the heart of so much beauty. We got in at sunset and were able to take our dog on a night stroll up her hill for a very peaceful evening. The heat in our cabin was NICE and made it extra cozy. First - Garret was an excellent host! Friendly, responsive, available immediately! This place is a gem! Beautiful - nestled in mountains, meadows, national forest, a little creek and you can practically walk to Lake Sheridan. Keystone/Mt. Rushmore are 20 minutes away. RV, vans & tents... water, trash, electric and port-a-pottie. The tent area was so open, with picnic tables and fire pits. So peaceful, quiet - my pups loved it, as did I. Oh and great star gazy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Weekend Trip to Horse Creek Resort RV Sites

Very quiet peaceful campground, there was a little rattle snake on our campsite when we got there so just wear good shoes and they left us alone.

RV sites along river are fabulous! Bathroom/showers/laundry (need quarters for laundry) fantastic! Host Garret and team were exceptionally helpful and working to make the Horse Creek Hipcamp clean, friendly, and fun. Proximity to Sheridan Lake for recreation and hiking, biking, and dog walking wonderful.
