Tent
We are new to tent camping…great campsite…awesome night sky…wild turkeys everywhere. We had the place to ourselves…secluded…private…the ground was flat and soft (no rocks or timber) and perfect for tent camping…close enough to Custer to head in for a meal or snack, but far enough away that we were really by ourselves. Ted came down to visit on the first night and it was great to meet him…otherwise he allowed us to have the place to ourselves…we felt safe…as a parent of two adult daughters I would have no concerns with my girls staying at this camp sight. We HIGHLY recommend Ted’s camp…Thank you Ted for making our trip to the Black Hills unforgettable.

Ted was a great host. Great communication and directions to the site. His site is private and quiet. We stayed in a 26’ travel trailer and had a difficult time getting level but made it work. Enjoyed our stay!

Long story short, I had car troubles and was not able to make the trip, but prior to and the day of as I was dealing with everything Ted was very helpful and had great communication!

Ted was an expert at communicating with us about the location, even sending us a video to get us to his camp spot. It was lovely. Private, shady or sunny whichever you wanted. Very quiet on a gravel road. I would stay again.

Great and private camping spot

We loved tent camping at Ted's Hipcamp! It's a beautiful property, far away from the main street and very quiet. A perfect spot to camp with dogs! The land is well maintained and surrounded by beautiful nature. Ted was very nice, sent us detailed directions, welcomed us and gave us some recommendations for things to do around there. Would definitely come back!
