Weekend Trip to Blacks Fish Camp

This is a very unusual place, a bit mysterious. I highly recommend spending a few nights here to experience the magical atmosphere. It is well equipped for camping. There is a shower and a toilet. Everything is very clean. Thank you to the host who prepared everything so well.

Dustin's two camp sites are beautiful and private. The bath and shower (and laundry!) facilities are so very clean and well appointed. The screened gazebo with TV (for watching NCAA playoffs) were super comfortable and gave us a break from our van while still being protected from a light rain. So worth every cent!

Every detail about this Hipcamp was perfect! We were in site 1, the moment we pulled into the site we were blown away by the beauty of the location and how peaceful it was. We met Dustin briefly and he was very personable. We hated to leave, and would love to return.

What a hidden gem! Dustin has done an amazing job at creating this little oasis for our pleasure! The cobble patio, the screened in sitting area with a small refrigerator, the hot tub with the night lighting. The up lighting of the trees at night is beautiful. The outdoor shower and the availability of laundry! What can I say? This spot is perfect! We will be back next year, I hope and for more than a couple of days!

Weekend Trip to Rustic Natural Campsite

Super one-night spot just off I-95 in South Carolina. As soon as I pulled onto the property, Josh (Debra’s nephew) came out and welcomed me warmly. We walked a few of the sites available, and he encouraged me to take a particular spot based on my rig (a new spot he just made). The stay was fantastic! AT&T, 1-2 bars, and I was able to launch a hotspot on AT&T, streaming YouTube videos. The camp site is not far from some train tracks. I came in Friday afternoon around 4:15PM, and I left the next morning by 7:30AM. The train only came through during my stay one time, at 6PM. It was actually really cool!! You can walk up to the train tracks. According to Josh, there are some trails that can be walked too but I did not take advantage of them. Great stop …. Great for a good nights rest.

8 nights at Marsh Side Retreat near the Beach

We really enjoyed our stay at Kristen's while visiting Charleston! It was a nice little break from campground life. The spot was great with full hook up option, peaceful neighborhood, and close enough to everything we needed. Kristen and her husband John were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend and will save for the future.

I would highly recommend Edisto River. Dustin was a really nice host. That said, my husband and I will never book with HipCamp again. Find Edisto River on another site.

1 night at Blacks Fish Camp

We stayed just one night and should have planned several more days. We just happened to be the only people on site. James met us at the gate and explained things well. The set up is clean and neat amenities all worked although we did not use the bathroom or shower we had what we needed. 54’ long bumper to bumper and had no issues getting set up. Fishing camp yes but it would also be a great place to Canoe or get any small craft in the water. We would return for sure. Thanks James for sharing your property.

What a great site with all of the space and privacy between the 2 RV sites and the River House. This would make a wonderful site for a Family Reunion or small friend gathering. The public bathroom by the RV sites was really great, clean, and exceeded what we expected! Loved our trip!

Our second trip here and we brought friends! We rented both campsites and the river house and had a great time. We built fires and made s’mores, played cards in the gazebo, played cornhole, horseshoes, took naps etc. The place is so nice with all the special details-like the nicest restrooms!! We definitely recommend and will visit again.

Jennifer has a beautiful spot and is very welcoming and helpful. She met us to get us set up, gave us some tips about the area, and shared her beautiful property. We especially enjoyed walking in the woods behind her property. The site is private - surrounded by trees and bushes, we felt very safe, and convenient to Elloree / Santee. Elloree IGA is limited, but Santee and Orangeburg has great food supplies. Orangeburg has it all.

Camp was as described. Upon arrival I met Debra’s nephew Josh, he showed me around property, gave me choice of where I wanted to camp, a personable and accommodating host. Location;Very private. Road noise; minimal. slept very well the nights I stayed. Directions were easy to follow. Debra was quick to reply to any texting/questions. AT&T signal: 1&2bars 5g, (2 bars LTE), was capable to stream/work online. solo female camper; I felt safe here. Thank you for sharing your property Debra.

We are located on 11 acres. Wooded areas, hiking trails on-site. Perfect place to watch for deer and other animals including our 6 on-leash dogs! It is a train lover's dream because we are close to the tracks and enjoy watching the train come and go so much so that the conductor toots and waves to us!! The Santee State Park has many water activities, picnic areas, and hiking trails. There are several golf courses nearby, and a local restaurant/bar within walking distance which often offers trivia, karaoke, pool tables, and live music. Just be careful as you will be walking on the side of a main road as well as over train tracks.
