Weekend Trip to Emberglow Outdoor Resort

We had a great experience at Emberglow. Their staff was friendly and helpful, the campground had a ton of amenities, was perfect for our young family and is very well taken care of. We plan to return soon!

3 nights at Field Trip Glamping Travelers Rest

The place is thoughtfully laid out. Love the multiple housing options. We stayed in the yurt, decorated with intention. The lights at night in the trees made the evening feel warm and inviting. Bathrooms were clean. When entering the address in the gps be sure to put in the city Travelers Rest, address defaults to Greenville which is a residential area. Great stay, definitely want to try out another house perhaps the A frame house. :)

Weekend Trip to Trails & Tails Waterfalls Retreat

This was my first camping trip on HipCamp, and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to bring my elementary-aged son and dog! The property is gorgeous and the SportGo was clean and super spacious. My son loved looking out the tent windows each morning and playing in the creek. Beth & Rob were so kind and anticipated my questions before I had them. As a single mom, camping is not always for the faint of heart but at Trails & Tails it felt like a true getaway. Brevard and DuPont were easily accessible and we had a blast hiking, playing at the foot of High Falls, and exploring Brevard.

3 nights at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

I loved camping so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The campsite is well situated between the Parkway and Brevard. The site was very quiet and peaceful with the sound of the river right next to our site. We stayed at site 6. Tom, our host, was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us great local information about great places to see!

3 nights at 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

This was such a delightful place to stay, and we're already making plans to come back. The Creekhouse is the perfect blend of roughing it with access to basic amenities. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek and exploring the property, and I appreciated the quiet freedom to let them roam. Damon is a wonderful host, friendly and very responsive. When the temperature dropped suddenly, he made sure we had heaters and warm blankets for sleeping, and we stayed cozy. My favorite part was falling asleep to the sound of the creek directly below us.

We had a great time. We loved having the animals come up to the fence and interact with us. The spot is not level so just know you will need leveling supplies. Loved our visit.

My niece and her kids and I had a great night in the treehouse. It was definitely too short a visit but will stay again, just maybe not in the treehouse next time. It’s beautiful out here and I’d recommend it to anyone!

Katelyn thought of everything. She was very communicative and thoughtful. We loved how the A-frame was tucked away and felt magical. Absolutely LOVED it!!!

1 night at Cold Spring Basecamp

Our family loved everything about Bills Cabin! The primitive adventure of the open air but the comfort of their camp mattresses was the perfect mix. The kids enjoyed heating up by the wood stove and cooking over the open fire. Gathering our drinking water from the creek was also a very cool experience. In the morning before check out we were able to explore some of the trails and my husband and I both attempted the cold plunge. We’ve already talked about coming back and can’t wait to check out the tree house for the views.

Great spot right on the river! We had a great time at At the Ridge Camp- Riverside Escapes. We are a family of 5 & stayed in cabin #2. It is a rustic camping cabin but was clean, spacious enough for all of us to sleep comfortably & had electricity. The showers were HOT & Tom made sure we had everything needed. They are still rebuilding from Helene but are definitely up & ready for campers! We will definitely be back.

There is a pool and other things for kids and families to do. It's not a fancy place but it's nice. The bathrooms are clean with showers. The only thing I see negative is the RV sites are very close together but I am a tent camper so it didn't affect me. The prices are very reasonable.

The host had it perfectly clean and well stocked. It has a bonfire pit and a smaller fire pit for outside gatherings and the hot tub was immaculately clean, heated, and ready for use when we arrived. Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.

There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available.
